When my foot is in the shoe, both top and bottom straps do not cover all Velcro.The short straps make it harder to fasten and unfasten for an older person.I feel that for the cost, the company should not skimp in the length of the straps.

Perfect fit but looked plastic. Need real leather not man made materials. Returned for credit.

nowhere as comfortable as they have been in past years. I am 81 yrs old and have worn New Balance for many years.

I bought these shoes only for use on my treadmill and exercise bike. They never leave the house - never. I started to experience some lower leg pain after about two weeks use and decided to replace the insoles with a "gel" type product. What a disappointment when I removed the factory insoles. They are thin and offer very little cushioning - no wonder my lower legs hurt. The construction and fit of the shoes is great, so hopefully my new insoles will be better for my lower legs.

My Black 577's are too tight of fit than my White 577's that I received previously. Takes too long to break them in, and then they get loose.

shoelaces to long for someone with a b width. shoes to deep. and to high. not pleased with these shoes. would like to return them. i have worn them once.

I rated this shoe a three, for a walking shoe they should be more comfortable than they are. After about 2 hours on my feet, my feet ache more than I feel they should. I had more comfort in a pair of $19 Dickies from Costco then these.

Believe it or not they squeak when I walk. Do you have any suggestions?

My husband has worn this particular shoe for at least a couple of years. I ordered a replacement pair exactly like the first ones, but they were defective: I both called customer service with this info and submitted a review. I asked for a replacement, which I am now returning because this pair has exactly the same defect as the other pair we have to return. When we can be assured of receiving a pair that is not defective, we will order again. Thanks much. . .we love Zappos. . .just wish you stocked 7 S shoes for me!

These shoes fit good and are comfortable. However, after wearing for awhile they tend to come apart at the toe seams. I wish they were more rugged but I haven't found anything else that fits as well. Since they are guaranteed and you do replace them if they come apart, I continue to order them.

This is the first time in years of use that the top loop (hook) is crooked, It does not go over the shoe straight. It can still be used and the shoes fir fine but is distracting in appearance in the loop area. .

Comfortable and convenient; but the velcro straps are too short. That's been a complaint for years. Why can't it be addressed??

The shoe was comfortable but it looked like an orthopec shoe at the toe box. I am 65 but still prefer something a little more stylish. I returned it for a comfortable shoe in the "work shoe" category that was just as comfortable but much better looking.

The shoes fit very well and are comfortable. The velcro straps hold tight but I can see where the velcro is separating from the leather. This is after two weeks of wear. I will probably have to glue it.

I purchased this shoe for my 87 year old father, the top strap is too short to be attached completely or easily. I had to take the shoes to a shoe maker and have an extension made. The shoes fit perfectly.

Only gave three stars 'cause not sure how they'll hold up yet. Bought these for my husband who has issues tying his shoes. He wanted to try the velcro sneakers to see if it was any easier than bending over to tie the shoes. These sneakers, or 'walking shoes' I guess they're called, look good and fit well. He got them in wide and the wide seemed to fit fine. At first I was concerned that the tabs that fasten on the velcro didn't pull far enough over on the velcro, if you know what I mean. Lots of velcro still exposed. But then he pulled the closure tighter and they fastened better, and he said it didn't hurt, so we'll see. My husband is very, very hard on his shoes so I want to see how well the velcro holds up for him; if it keeps the shoe closed and doesn't wear out too fast.
