This pair of 577 walking shoes is not as well put together as the previous pairs that I have purchased. The heel still feels too high after wearing them several times and the top front of the left shoe looks like it is cracking already. I am very disappointed with this pair of shoes. For the price that I paid I feel cheated. I will not buy these New Balance shoes again.

Perfect for the feet width, but too narrow for the toes. These need to be expanded on the toes end for maximum comfort. Otherwise, excessive cramping on the toes.

Wore the same size of New Balance for years (11 1/2 wide). These are so short and narrow---couldnt even get them on. Exchanging for a 12 extra wide (a size that would normally be way too big) and hoping they will fit because I need the hook and loop closure.

Width was excellent but your velcro straps were to short. So I have to return them. You made the shoes wider for swollen feet but you neglected to add on to the velcro. One more inch of strap and you would have had a sale.

Very wide for a supposed B or narrow. Cheap material, not leather, on a large part of the upper. For the value, these should cost $25.

0 stars. Advertised as "These shoes were proudly assembled at New Balance U.S. factories by more than 1,200 U.S. workers. Since the domestic value is less than 70%, New Balance labeled them "Assembled in the USA."" Shoes received were labeled as "Made in Vietnam." They are being returned to Zappos.

The product description says: "These shoes were proudly assembled in our U.S. factories by our more than 1,200 U.S. workers. Since the domestic value is less than 70%, we have labeled them "Assembled in the USA.""
The tongue label says "Made in Vietnam". I have only worn New Balance sneakers that were made or assembled in the U.S. for the past 35 years. The #1 reason I bought these (as I have bought 577 for years) is for this reason.
They were put back in the box and will be returned immediately.

I am very disappointed in my purchase because the left shoe is causing an abrasion on top of one of my toes and is scraping the skin right off. I wore them seven days and it's not getting any better. I don't know what's causing this. There are selvage edges from seams in that spot and that might be it. It's more than breaking in new shoes. The right shoe is normal. I don't think I will be able to wear these shoes anymore because my toe gets scraped more every time I wear them. These shoes are New Balance MW577.

I had been checking the site regularly for the laces version. It appears they no longer carry them so I tried these. Very disappointed as the velcro strap did not have enough length. They were returned. I would like to know if they ever plan to carry the 577 with laces again. They (or whatever model number they had been before) had been a staple for years.

Shoes about half size too short, resulting in very tight heels and almost impossible to get off feet. . Upper hook and loop straps far too short to fasten over my feet (which have very high arches) and didn't extend to end of strap, which would have helped a little. Lower strap was fine.

SPLITS ON SIDE NEAREST BIG TOE. I've had two pairs that split in the same exact location. I'm sure you know about this problem - I took photos of the split. There is no problem with the width at that location. The toes have enough room it's just that the shoes are made CHEAPLY. Maybe glued instead of stitched?

Bought these for work. Fit fine, but the left shoe caused mounting pain from nerve pressure such that I limped by the end of the shift. Wore them for a week in case it was just a long break in period, but it never got better. Plus, construction is so shoddy that the eyelets are just holes cored straight through the material, guaranteeing the laces will saw through in short order. Between this and the pair of New Balance running shoes I sent back earlier this year, I will not be buying that brand ever again. Real shame, they used to make good stuff.

I need to return this item. It feels as though the excess leather on one of the seams was not trimmed off properly on the inside of the shoe. The shoe can simply not be worn.

My husband is a big man, including his feet. He normally orders 4E, extra wide in tie sneakers and is very satisfied with the NB fit. The velcro closure at the bottom of this style barely reached the grabbing side. The top tab was a good 2 inches from touching the grabbing area. These shoes would only close if someone's foot had been flattened by a steamroller into a wide flat foot, and maybe not even then. Very disappointing!

these are not true to there size or wide this is a size larger and a extra wide from last pair of shoes and unable to fasten the hook and loop
