i have always liked new balance shoes . they last long time and ave a great fit. i gave it three stars because of issues with stock of item after purchasing online.

the shoes are typical New Balance, well made, nice design. I seem to be having problems with finding shoes to fit me right. I usually take a 9 and a half, 4E wide shoe and that's what I ordered and received, but for some reason these don't fit me right, they seem to be a little narrow and the top Velcro strap isn't long enough for me to comfortably wear the shoe without feeling pressure across my instep. I don't know if a wider shoe would work or what, but I don't think I will be able to wear these comfortably.

The shoe looks well made enough however the fault lies in the tongue. No,. 1 it is too thick. No. 2 the velcro straps are too short. If you have a high instep the straps do not wrap around the top of the instep as they should. Very disappointing

Been buying NB for decades. One reason is the consistent fit. These are so narrow, they are embarrassing to wear. Love to return them.

the shoes were good quality. The shoes i ordered are the wrong size for me.. I gave them to my daughter she is very happy with them

You need to offer more color choices; I don't like black and I'm tired of white.

I purchased a pair of these along with Postal 706v2, both in size 9 D width. The other pair fit perfectly, these are rather tight. I am hoping they fit better over time.

Walking. The shoes squeak and I can't get rid of the noise.

Good comfortable shoe. Leather upper good sturdy solidly build.

I use these for everyday wear although each time I buy new ones I only wear them for dress. The reason I rated them low is because I was disappointed in the delivery notification this time around.

Very comfortable everyday walking shoe. Accurate shoe size. Not accurate on visually online. It's very wide and bulk. Give it a 100% on comfort. Visual 50%

Unfortunately as other reviewer's have noted, the loop is too short. I have a very flat foot and no arch. I thought the loop would be more than adequate. I could barely close the loop. I love all of my new balance products other than this one.

My description overall for these shoes is "adequate". Not the most comfortable shoes, though the purchase of an "insert" to replace the stock one would probably help. A great idea, poorly executed. But that was probably on purpose given the price. I'm not going to go through the hassle of returning them, as they will suffice for now as an alternative until I can pick up a new insert. Anything under $80 is just NOT worth your money.

These shoes are not roomy enough across the vamp at the bottom of the laces to accommodate my high instep feet. They might be fine for someone with thin feet. The label on the tongue makes no mention of what kind of material the upper is made of. The material is good-looking, but is fake leather. I believe that only real leather can achieve a conforming, comfortable fit while being reasonably breathable.

The shoes are on the wide side, making them feel somewhat "sloppy" -- hard to pull straps tight enough to prevent the sloppy feel.

Unfortunately, the shoe fits narrower than the size indicates. We had to pay to have them stretched,

Bought shoes for my 87 year old father. He has a high instep. He kept shoes but would have preferred if top strap was at least an 1"-1.5" longer. I'm just afraid after some wear, velcro will give way as strap catches other side just on the very end.

We were hoping the shoes would help his planters faceitis,but they were not wide enough. If the Velcro tabs were longer they might have worked.

They are comfortable enough but do cause discomfort with those of us that have a high instep. Model 813 is much more comfortable and allow more room.

Hate to give a bad review but the hook and loop strap would not hook up. I am sure it was my big foot but it was a 4E, it should have fit. The return was no problem, very easy, thank you.

Though I love NB because they have wide shoes which is what I need and I have purchased this shoe before, I bought these for my husband who is in rehab and needed a good pair of shoes for walking. I didn't think their would be a problem this time. I was wrong. My husband has a high in step which was never a problem before but now he could barely get his foot into the shoe. When he finally did - the Velcro straps were so SHORT they wouldn't even close. I also bought a pair for myself - same issues high in step only I couldn't get mine on at all. I will be sending both back in hopes that perhaps a bigger size will do the trick. Hopefully they will READ THIS REVIEW and do something about lengthening the straps on the shoe.

Had to return original order (11 1/2 4E) in exchange for 12 4E.

So far so good a little tight but have used stretcher in them and that helped. First time my size didn't fit well.

I put them on in the spring for in house use and the previous years in house goes outside to replace the older of the every other day two pair. Their use stops in October November to start up next spring. They are also fitted with Spenco insole for my Platar Fachitise. (horrible spell on that but I think you get the idea)
