Very comfortable, I walk and work around the yard in these shoes. Easy to put on with the velcro straps

My son is Autistic and the velcro helps him to be independent when putting his shoes on. These sneakers also have the leather strap and not the spandex strap which always rips.

I love the shoes except for one flaw. The is too much extra material inside the shoe beyond where the tongue is sewed on. This actually hurt the top of my feet when first worn. By using large shoe horns, I was able to minimize this problem before wearing for extended periods of time.
I looked at style 813's in a NB outlet. They had way less excess tongue material inside. Unfortunately the did not come in bone color.

the velcro straps are about 1 inch too short....they barely reach the velcro after they go thru the loop....if i order the wide shoe it is too wide but the velcro will reach....

Good fit the second time around, had to order one half size larger. Return on first purchase was easy and fast. Would like the Velcro to be a little wider and longer, for the price a few pennies more in product would be appreciated. Fast shipping, excellent customer service. Shoes look and feel great.

I like the shoes very mush. I think they are the best made shoes I have ever had.
The only issue I have is the straps are too short. They only over lap by about 1/2".
You should do something about that. That will be a factor that I will think about if I order
my next shoes.

I bought these sneakers with the Velcro straps for my husband. He only has the use of one hand and the Velcro straps as opposed to laces have made it possible for him to put his own shoes on. The Velcro straps could be a bit thicker but they have given him his independence.

Pretty decent work shoe. Offers enough comfort for long days that require standing and lots of walking especially on concrete. Downside is that it falls apart after only several months. I've purchased better shoes that last for twice as long from another brand at the same price.
In short, provides decent comfort for work but not too durable.

Had a pair. They wore well but the left toe separated from the sole. Podiatrist recommended I continue with the same shoe

I purchased these shoes because the quality of the brand I've been using has gotten ridiculously bad AND did not seem to fit as well as they have in the past.
Now, the NB shoes seem tobe of better quality and the fit is better in some areas except that they could use more material in the tops. We've all seen people whose feet looked as if they were swelling out of their shoes, and the lack of material in the "instep" of these shoes cause them not to close fully and gives that appearance WITHOUT any issue of swelling. Overall the shoes are good. I prefer asingle strap to the double straps on these shoes, but I knew that prior to ordering. If they hold up well, I will likely order again.

Nice walking shoes. Well constructed. My only qualm is the sole almost provides too much cushion and too little spring back when walking. It feels like the sole absorbs too much energy. Strange. I have other athletic shoes with harder soles that give better energy return with each step. Not necessarily a deal breaker; they’re still very comfortable and well made.

I have always had flat feet, I remove the arch support and put in Powerstep Protech Pro Arch supports. The shoe lasts me around two years. I have purchased four pairs so far if that tells you anything about this shoe. It is a well made product and very good for walking and daily use.
I'd also recommend:
I only buy New Balance

I bought these shoes due to the need for a 5e width.
They are a little narrow, but comfortable. Length is spot on.
I am unhappy with the velcro straps. They are very narrow and too short.
The sticking power of the velcro is pretty weak. They keep coming unstuck, kind of inconvenient.
Overall, however, I rate them fairly high. Time will tell as to their durability.

Look good and fit well. I'm on my feet all day and they don't hurt as much compared to my old shoes but I'm a big man so that goes with the territory.

No sneakers have any arch support any more.
I stand on my feet constantly at work.
This shoe feels better than most.
Changing shoes mid day helps me with my foot pain.
I will change from one style to another during lunch break.
I buy New Balance exclusively, because only
New Balance sneakers are available in accurate widths.
The good price allows me to replace them often.
I can't wear shoes that are worn out at the heels.
The New Balance 577 really works for me.
Not fancy, but sturdy enough.
It is a good walking or cross training shoe.
The assembled in U.S.A. tag makes it one of my favorites.

My podiatrist recommended these because of the extra toe room. This is my fourth pair!

I ordered these shoes thinking they would be like my 813 which I absolutely love but you were out in my size. I read the different reviews of thought these would be okay I didn't know they were smaller in width. I ordered mens 577 8 4E. The first time I wore them they seemed a little tight in the arch and I knew that I wouldn't be able to return them because I had worn them. I have them for the last two days hoping they would stretch out and today they seem a little less tight and I have adjusted the shoelaces also. My toes have plenty of wiggle room which is important. I have been wearing New Balance shoes now for over 15 years. They seem to be a very well put together shoe and hold up well. This is first time I have ever do a review.

This is my 5th pair of 577's. They are a good value and hold up well to a 2-3 mile daily walking/hiking program.

577's are replacing my 3.5 year old 928's which are beginning to some signs of wear. Love my 928's. Went with the lower priced 577's so I could afford a second pair of shoes instead of just one. Very similar in fit to my 928's and expect they will be just as comfortable on long walks. Once spring arrives and I can start using the trails again I can get a truer test to see how well they hold up compared to the 928's. Until then I'm limited to the treadmill and walking track at the fitness center.
