This is the 2nd pair of these shoes that I have ordered; the other were in brown, and I cannot say enough about them. I have very narrow feet, so the zipper suits me very well. They have support, cushioning, and the great look to wear with jeans to other casual pants. Also, I have a dog that has to go out many times during the day, being able to zip these shoes up and go is a great time saver for both of us.

I have a pair of Ariat Heritage paddock boots that I love, so I took a chance on these and they fit perfectly. I need an all-purpose boot for on and off the horse and these look like they will work for me. Haven't ridden in them yet but have worn them around to break them in. Only problem is the top of the boot that is still a little stiff (that's why I gave it 4 stars). Others have said they breaks in quickly but I've worn them for 2 whole days and they still seem a little stiff.

Just what I wanted for those sloppy winter road days, if I didn't want to wear boots. My feet are rather flat and the boot has moderate support. Still comfortable to wear.

I love these boots! They are waterproof and so comfortable. I wear them to participate in outdoor field trials with my dogs - lots of walking and lots of wet and lots of terrain changes - they are wonderful - comfortable, soft, supportive and DRY!

Excellent. I have a fairly serious back issue that requires me to wear very high-quality, supportive shoes. These shoes are as comfortable and supportive as the $300 Finn Comfort shoes I normally have to wear! Ariat's quality is incredible. Also, these are warm and absolutely water-proof. The zipper closure makes them easy-on and easy-off.

Fit just like the lace up Terrain. Have ridden 100s of miles and all I wear are Ariat Terrains.

After a quick return to get 1/2 size larger than usual, I must say that these are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. No break-in time. I have narrow feet & they are great. I live in chilly New England and have to take my dog in & out, so I try to buy shoes without traditional laces. The zippers work great for easy & quick on & off. They are warm, comfortable & supportive. They look good too!

I love all of my Ariat boots! This is the first Ariat shoe I have owned and it didn't disappoint. Total comfort right from the get-go!

Awesome boots! I am in a barn all day long everyday and these fit the bill for comfort and durability. Great for riding, too! Great for narrow feet!

Me again with a followup review. I guess I fell "in love" too quickly! I've now had a bit more time to "test-drive" this boot in my home. There is still a lot to like about it. I am now trying the Ariat Extreme Paddock H2O Insulated style because I didn't like the way the zippers on the Terrain Zip kept coming down walking up and down the steps in my house. I didn't want to try my pliers on them as one wearer suggested (although I kidded about it) since I found that the zipper placement was the issue for the most part---it stops just at the spot where my feet bend, and probably where other reviewers bend as well. It seems to be a design flaw on an otherwise very nice boot! The Insulated version is higher cut and the zipper ends higher up beyond leather welts which I think must protect the zipper from "weather". So hopefully this style will manage the stair test in our home better. Stay tuned. Unfortunately, as much as I love the Terrain, it will have to find a new home and am giving it one less star overall. Thanks, Zappo, again for awesome service.

I ordered this pair of boots to wear in the snow this winter. I love the way they look and really like the simple zipper for easy off and on. They are well made. I ordered my regular size and they fit, but felt a tad snug. From the photo, I thought the tread would be perfect in the snow. However, once they arrived, I realized the tread is not aggressive enough to be safe in snow and ice. It is actually a rather smooth tread. Sadly, I will be returning them for that reason only.

Boots look good. I have not worn them other than in the house as it is 100 in Tx just now. Things I have noticed: it is a little difficult to get the zipper all the way up and I have concerns that the upper collar may rub. There is a lot of room and the foot area is very comfortable.

Overall I like these boots. They look to be quality made with good leather. I have worn them once and they were somewhat stiff to begin with but began to soften pretty quick. I did not like the fact that I had a difficult time getting my half chapes to zip over them. I will add that my half chaps are Ariat brand too so they should have been compatible in my opinion. The boots are also bulkier than regular paddock boots so keep that in mind if you will be riding in these. These boots definitely took up more of my stirrups/made my feet tighter in the stirrup.

Felt sturdy and substantial underfoot. I am in between a 7 and 7.5 so am going with the 7.5. My foot is also narrow and this is ok with a thicker sock. Still look around the ankle though which laces would make up for. But I wanted the zipper for easy on and off. Great arch support. The brown looks browner in the pictures. The actual boot is less so.

I have square/round toes a big arch and slim ankles. I wear a size 9 medium. When I first put these on they fit very nicely. I thought they were a little stiff. After a very few walks the boot has stretched out. Now I feel like it is too big. It lost it shape from the above view also. I suppose that this is a good work boot but they are not as cute as they were before they stretched out. The zipper has not slid down on me yet. I would buy them again for work but not for cuteness. Good for thick socks.

Fits well and is comfortable but...it made my 8.5 foot look huge! Felt very bulky and clunky. This shoe wasn't for me.

Ariat is one of my all time favorites but this boot let me down; the zipper on the right boot will not stay up but 2-3 steps at a time and they are very chunky, clunky feeling. Also the upper part that hits at your ankle is stiff & tends to bruise. I will exchange for a clog or another Ariat boot that is light.
