I LOVE these boots! I have been looking for a great pair of versatile riding boots for the Fall. I was so excited when I saw these. I went up a half size (normally a 9 - ordered a 9.5) and they fit perfectly. I have pretty muscular calves so I sometimes have a hard time finding fitted boots that actually fit and the way these are made with the little bit of stretch at the back are PERFECT! They hit right at your knee-cap and you can also fold them over to have them be a little bit shorter. Very versatile. Very comfortable. I ordered them yesterday and literally received them today before noon! I also noticed that my purchase price was more and then it went down a few hours after I ordered. I called Zappos and they immediately issued a refund to my card. Absolutely love these boots and the amazing customer service at Zappos!

I have very wide calves (I am not a huge person, I wear a size 8 clothes, my calves are disproportionately large compared to the rest of my body), and I have always struggled to find boots that would fit comfortably over my calves. Few pairs fit and the ones that did were so tight they just looked ridiculous. These boots fit over my calves with room to spare! I was so excited, I am buying them in both brown and black and cannot wait to wear them! They do feel like they run a bit large - I wear a size 9 shoe normally, but for me the 8½ fits perfectly in the foot (I tried them on in the store before buying on Zappos), but the calf was a bit narrower so I went with the 9 and I plan to just wear thick socks with them. I highly recommend these to anyone, but especially those ladies who have struggled to find cute, fashionable boots that will fit over larger calves!

Love them! Soft leather with stretchy back! I have wide calves so stretch is key! You can bend the top to make it half boots or short boots. Worth it!

I love these boots. I am very short, only 5 feet tall, have wider calves so I am always hesitant to buy boots without a full zipper or a wide fit. These boots are a little snug when first putting them on, but do not get hung up on that. They are so comfortable. I wear them for hours. They are great walking boots and they are beautiful on. I love the versatility of up high over the knee, folded down for a nice cuff and they look great folded halfway down for shorter boots, too. The color is beautiful and they look much more expensive than they are. They are highly recommend.

The leather on the shaft is really soft, I like that because I have larger, muscular calves. Also no need to water proof. My puppy even peed on them with no stain left behind. Not comfortable, but not uncomfortable either. I was able to walk around all day without any complaints. I am definitely considering buying these in another color!

I like these boots. They're comfortable and stylish. I got them a half size larger that what I usually wear and they fit fine. Glad I got them.

I love these boots! They stay up with jeans. I have not tried them with tights. The color is very gray/neutral and goes with lots. I can even get away with wearing browns with them.

I really like this boot! Very stylish. I was looking for a small wedge, and this is the perfect height. My one complaint is that the fabric is so soft and loose that the top part that is supposed to cover my knee sometimes folds over which is annoying. I find myself constantly pulling up the leg of the boot to straighten it out - I wish the top part was a little stiffer.

I have been looking for a pair of boots so badly! I'm 5 foot 3 and weigh 135 pounds and my calves are 15 inches in diameter. These boots fit me perfectly...I can't thank Chinese Laundry enough! I'm very happy.

I am very happy with these boots, they are comfortable and go with lots of outfits. If you can't tell from the picture (I wasn't sure when looking at it myself) the boot does not fit tight up against your leg. It is not really slouchy but you can slouch it down a bit if you want or wear it up to your knee (the rounded top part goes above the knee).

LOVE THEM! I have extremely large calves - I'm a runner - so buying boots for a size 8-8 1/2 foot is almost impossible, especially if they're above the knees. These are perfect! Not tight and with a room for jeans or leggings! I wear a size 8, but since I tend to wear socks with my boots, I went up a half a size and I'm glad I did.

I LOVE these boots! I almost always wear heels but I wanted a cute comfortable boot for lazy days or days I would be doing a lot of walking. I received them and put them on and it was tough to get my heel into the bottom of the shoe at first, don't let this discourage you! I wore them all day that day at work to see if i could break them in (remember they're leather so they will stretch) by the end of the day they didn't seem so snug on my feet they had a much more comfortable fit. They had rubbed a bit on my heel though. I wore them the next day walking around for quite a few hours and they were fine! Got my foot right in no rubbing very comfortable. I have worn them at least 6 or 7 times now and they are perfect! Don't get discouraged the first time you wear them they break in to be great shoes! Also, most of these reviews are people with larger calves so I was afraid, being that I have pretty small ankles and calves I would be swimming in them but they are great for all sizes. :)

Wow! Did I ever hit the jackpot this time. I love them! I have a very high instep wear a size 11 and had no problem getting them on. I must mention that I purchased two other pairs of boots. The first pair had no zipper and the second with a zipper and still unable to get over my instep. The color cognac was true. The leather was beautiful and just gorgeous boots. Thank you, Zappos.

Great boots. They fit well and are easy to walk longer distances in. I wish the outer material was a little stronger though - the toes and heels seem to scuff easily. I've only worn them for a couple of days and they are already scratched across the toe.

Great boots, very good quality and well-priced. Finally a boot that is tall/over the knee (even at my height 5'11"), comfortable, modern style, easy on/off. Snug enough so it holds your leg in the right places without strangling your leg and enough room for tights or leggings. Great boot, might have to order another pair!

I love these boots. I have athletic calves and I can't ever find boots that fit. These were amazing. I love the height and the style. I wear them with skinny jeans, tights and leggings. I am going to buy them in brown too!

I almost always order a half size up in boots, but since this was my frist pair of Chinese Laundry boots I decided to get my actual size (size 5). Shipping was super fast..tried them on the they were the perfect fit! Only downside is I wouldn't be able to wear them with thick socks or jeans. I contacted customer service and they guided me through their exchange process and even refunded the difference of what I had orginally paid since the price had dropped! Got my shoes next day and VERY SATISFIED with this purchase. I ordered the slate color and love the shoe!! Comfort and style all in one! Thank you Zappos you are the best!!!!!

Super cute shoes, lots of compliments, true to size. I'm 5'5 size 7.5 and these hit right over the knee. The only thing is that I wore them a few times with thicker socks when it was cold and now they slouch a bit. I'm keeping them but next season I'm looking at boots with zippers.

Loved how these boots looked online, however, I was a little disappointed as I was hoping for a warm cognac color, but when they arrived, the boots look more like a dusty-worn cognac color. I usually wear a 7, tried going the 1/2 size up as another reviewer suggested, but they were still really snug. Ended up going with an 8.5 instead- they're a little loose when I'm wearing tights, but fit perfectly with socks. The only other complaint, the ankle part just above the straps kind of slides down, giving you that slouchy kind of look.

Super hard hard to pull on and the lining gets messed up at the heel as you pull them on. The fabric bunches a lot at the back of the ankle. The leather is nice and soft and they are very comfy. Other than the bulge behind the ankle, they're really cute!
