I really, really wish I'd read the reviews on these shoes before purchasing, but I've worn Danskos for most of my adult life and never had any issues. I've still got 4 pairs in 2 different styles in my closet and have always bought the same size no matter the style. These shoes run VERY narrow - I couldn't even get half of my foot to go into the shoe. Thankfully, Zappos has a great return policy, so I might try a different size, but overall, I'm disappointed with the huge inconsistency from other Dansko shoes.

I love Dansko and wanted a nice pair to wear to a professional office. The Hailey was cute and other buyers had warned of a tight fit, so I purchased a size up. I normally wear an 8.5 or 39 so bumped up to a size 40. These were so tight when I put them on that the nerves on my feet were crimping and my toes were curling after 10 minutes of wear. I did not think they'd loosen based on their construction. I have never had so much pain, which was odd for me and Dansko. They were unbelievably uncomfortable and I am returning them immediately.

Let's talk about clogs. We love them, let's admit it. But we don't really want to be seen in them, right? I was hoping that the Haileys would somehow transcend clogdom, but no dice. There's the round toe, there's the five pound weight. I don't know what I was thinking about the squiggly line styling, because please, but I guess I was temporarily insane because I tried them but it doesn't help. These clogs are clogs. Clogs. Wear them if you want clogs.

These shoes run really small. I could not even get my feet in. I am a true size 9 and ordered the size 39. I am very disappointed because I love the style.

I love Dansko! I have 6 pair of the patent clogs and they are the most comfortable shoes I have or will ever own. The problem I found with this pair is that it was tight on the top of my foot due to my high instep even though I got them in a 38 which is the same size of all my other Dansko. Very cute but extremely tight, had to return them.

I love Dansko shoes and have been wearing them for years. I have biplantar faciitis, heel spurs and a bunion, so I must wear really good shoes. I took the advice from other reviewers and ordered these shoes a full size larger than I typically wear and they fit me perfectly. When I first put them on and cruised around the house, they felt fabulous so I wore them to work the very next day. OMgosh. Surprisingly, these shoes hurt my feet SO bad. I don't know why ... typically Danskos fit so well and are so comfortable. Thinking I just needed to break them in, I wore them three more times and was again limping by day's end each time. It makes me very very sad to write this poor review because again, I LOVE Dankso products and I think it's just something with this particular style. I ended up purchasing some Dr. Scholl's massaging gel inserts and those really help. I can now wear them without pain. I hope that others have better luck with these shoes than I did because they are very cute and very well constructed, but you do need to order them the next size up to get a good fit.

I'm having the same trouble as other reviewers and the 39 is too small and tight, but the 40 falls off my foot. I am normally a size 8 and have been wearing Danskos for 15+ years, but have to return these. So sad, because they are so cute! Thanks to Zappos for being so awesome about returns.

I wear a 10-10 1/2 medium in all other shoes, so it was quite disappointing that I couldn't even fit my foot in the 41s. Also, the traction of the soles is terrible.
