Although I didn't buy my pair of Dansko Harlows at Zappos (I bought mine locally), I wanted to submit a review because I have been completely thrilled by the fit and comfort of these shoes. I was first drawn to the details - the flowers and scalloped lines. I've been hoping Dansko would make something with a bit of detail like this for awhile. It was the comfort, though, that really blew me away. I wear Dansko clogs 95% of the time for their quality and support (I have plantar fasciitis), and didn't think it was possible to get more support in a shoe. The Harlows are even more supportive (better arch support and cushiony feel) than my clogs, and there was zero break-in required. I've worn them both with and without socks and through a long day of travel with no discomfort or friction. They are spectacular and I hope Dansko continues to make styles like this - supremely comfortable and supportive with stylish details and interest. Highly recommended.

Best Dansko shoe ever! I own these in red and black and have just bought a pair in mahogany. I've worn other Dansko mary jane styles -- like Ainsley, but these feel more secure because of the wider strap. When I first saw these in a shoe store, I thought that the cap-like toe of the Harlow might be too big for my foot, but once I tried them on, I was sold. That said, I had a professional shoe me how to put them on. She had me use the shoe platform stool at the store, but I've done it right at home, now. The trick is the put the shoe on while sitting down. Have the back of my heel on the floor and the toe up at about a 45 degree angle. Then push my heel back into the shoe as far as I could get them; immediately velcro the strap so it was secure, then go ahead and stand up. In this way, my feet don't move around in the shoe. I've convinced 1 of 2 sisters to go Dansko and I think the 2nd sister will try them soon. The 1 sister that is now wearing them has plantar fasciitis, but says that the arch support is so good with Dansko that she has no pain. I'm a teacher. I'm on my feet for 6 to 9 hours a day and I can wear the Harlow by itself, with tights, or with thin socks and feel great at the end of the day. I have actually gone home and forgotten to take them off (!) because they are so comfortable. Out of all the Dansko styles, these are the best fitting and look great with skirts, pants, jeans, literally everything. You're probably thinking that they're too expensive, blah, blah, blah... I say that it's worth it to avoid all kinds of foot problems later. I have the start of plantar fasciitis and bunions, but these shoes are saving my feet!

I am in love with these shoes. I have been wearing Dansko for years but this is by far the best. I am a 6.5 and will normally get a 36, with these shoes I got a 37 and 36 and the 36 was too short, my toes were touching the edge. The 37 was better, but it seems like the ankle rubs a bit more on the edge when I went bigger. Very comfortable shoe and I wore it right away with no issues.

I love these shoes! I have some serious foot problems and must use custom orthotics always. I discovered that the insoles in this style can be removed! It is fixed in the shoe with two glue spots, and with a bit of work comes out cleanly. My podiatrist orthotics fit in these cute shoes, which makes me so happy! I have both red and black in this style. The red is cutest. It shows off the detail of the leather overlay and stitching. The Velcro closure is terrific for adjust-ability and holding the shoe securely on my foot.

These are super comfy for arch and heel pain, although the design is a little more puffy at the toe than I was expecting, so I feel a little like Olive Oyl from Popeye. They also don't have much cushion at the back of the foot, so I have to wear Band-Aids so I don't get a blister. Even with socks on. There's no way I would wear them without socks, because they also rub a little under the stitching area. The Velcro is handy, but I kind of prefer a buckle -- as I've been walking, my jeans pull at the Velcro and I can feel the tugging and my jeans did manage to un-do the strap once.

These Danskos are adorable, but the low cut sides sliced into the side of my foot hitting the bone by my little toe. I own about 8 pairs of Dansko shoes and sandals and have never had any trouble, so I am very disappointed that I will have to return these.

These shoes were so comfortable right out of the box. I own 5 pairs of Dansko's, and I love these the best for comfort. Unfortunately, after only several months, the velcro gave out on both shoes. I contacted Zappos, and they graciously exchanged them. I thought I just got a bad pair of shoes. Unfortunately, the new shoes did the same with the velcro within a month. The velcro would come undone if I squatted, or just with walking. Very disappointed in the making of such a comfortable shoe with such a big flaw.

I absolutely love these shoes! I am a pharmacist, so I'm on my feet 11 hours a day sometimes. Comfort and support are a must, and these shoes deliver. They are a little less roomy in the toe box than the Dansko professional (which is what I usually wear), but they broke in very well after a couple of wears. The style is nice, too. They go well with skirts, dress pants or jeans. Overall, a great buy, will probably buy in brown, too!

These are very comfortable shoes. I love Danskos (need the arch support). I generally have a harder time finding shoes that fit and look great. The Dansko sandals have been easier to love than the shoes. These shoes are an exception. They are immediately comfortable and I did not have the problem that another reviewer had with the leather cutting into her foot (I do have that problem with another style of Dansko shoe). These shoes are lighter in weight than they look. As always, the service by Zappos has been awesome. Thank you.

I love these shoes! They look great and are extremely comfortable. I am a high school teacher on my feet all day. I ordered these to find out if they really would alleviate my heel pain as other customers stated. They really did; it is true! Although this is my first pair of Danskos, I think they run true to size since a 38 fit me and I am usually a size 7 to 8. I am hooked on Danskos now!

I have really bad plantar fasciitis and wore these straight out of the box to work. I'm a teacher and am on my feet all day. I come home exhausted most days with feet that don't want to do anything. I love these shoes. I came home with happy feet yesterday. They are wonderful.

I ordered these shoes and I think I would have liked them, but the size 11.5-12 was too small for my normally size 12 feet.

I absolutely love this shoe. I've been a nurse for 30 years and am used to wearing tennis shoes and scrubs. I took a new job 4 months ago that requires me to actually wear dress clothes. I still walk all day so knew that I could not do heels. These are perfect. They are comfortable but dressy.

These shoes are super-comfy and adorable. I would get them in every color if I could afford to. They make my feet look small and my legs look decent. I don't wear them with pants that hide them so I have no issue with hems of pants, as some reviewers have mentioned. Nor has the Velcro come undone. Great shoes for difficult feet.

I am in love with these shoes. I wear them almost every day (I have them in black and will change that to "every day" as soon as I receive my brown ones). The first time I put these shoes on, I felt like they were practically doing the walking for me. They are the only pair of shoes I own that don't hurt by the end of the day (I'm a teacher, on my feet all day). I feel like they improve my posture too. Worth every cent. Get them, you won't be disappointed!

I bought these shoes in the brown and thought they looked a little dopey at first, but now I'm completely sold! These are my favorite pair of Danskos, and I've been a loyal Dansko wearer for 8 years (they are the only type of shoe I'll wear to work). The footbed is a lot springier than the standard professional, but still very supportive (not mushy) and I actually prefer it to the professional footbed. The leather upper is similar to professional, which wears a lot tougher than the Solstices I had, which scuffed to a white base at the slightest touch. The velcro strap is nice and stable and lets you adjust the fit for swelling or what not. Best of all, I've gotten tons of compliments on these, more than any other shoe I've owned. I mostly wear them with slacks, but they were cute with pegged/skinny jeans for a casual look and I think they'd go nicely with a casual skirt/dress for fall. Comfy and cute, what's not to like? I ordered the black today!

I bought these shoes to wear to a wedding, but I have been wearing them every chance I can because they are so girlie and comfy. I really like them. (BTW, I have a wide foot.)

I love this shoe! I've worn it so much since I bought them. Took about a week to break in, but no blisters just a little redness. Great for work or walking, can be worn for hours on end (even standing or walking around). I've ordered two more Dansko shoes, so comfortable. I wear a 6.5 and size 37 fit great! No complaints.

I love the look of these shoes and the velcro is awesome! I have a wide foot and the shoes fit perfectly.

Love this shoe! Very comfortable, and I love how i can just throw them on, with no fuss. I didn't find the strap to be a problem with my pants, as other customers noted.

I love this shoe! After trying it at home for a few hours I felt the inside toe cover rubbing on the top of my foot and hurting...so I'll have to get a different size, but it's very cute! I found it comfortable otherwise and hope to have a pair soon.

I have worn Danskos for 10 years and will not wear anything else for work (restaurant manager and teacher). I bought the Harlows due to a back and glutes ache and wearing them has eased all my pain. They are great for posture and bad backs. I am looking for a pair like them for summer now. I highly recommend Danskos for comfort and pain relief.

I now have three pair of Harlow, and they are my go-to dressy shoe. I have flat feet and suffered nerve pain last summer after wearing my favorite (at the time) wedge sandals - so I needed something to wear with skirts and this fits my wardrobe. Yes, they are a bit round at the toe, but they are Danskos - I wear a lot of their professional clogs in the fall/winter, and this is a familiar look for me. So happy with them! I will say that the first time I wear them in the spring I need a bandaid on my heel to wear the shoes barefoot, but after a few wearings I'm fine. I echo the comment about putting them on with your heel firmly in the heelcup, and tightening the velcro. I usually wear a 39 in Dansko, but took a 40 in this style.

I bought these for work. I read a review that stated how to put them on, so I took her advice, and my shoes feel great. The first week, there was some discomfort around my pinky toe area, but that subsided. I have no problems. They look cute on my feet!

Was so excited to get these shoes, but they are too narrow for my fat foot! My sister said it looks like a can of busted biscuits! lol I have a very wide foot and in these shoes my foot just bulges out of the top. For a nice skinny foot I'm sure they would be perfect as they are adorable!
