I have had this boot for a few years and not only do they look good and get complimented a lot, they are warm, comfortable for walking in all day, or wearing to work. Love this boot!

I love these boots. They are not only functional (waterproof and comfortable), but are also super cute. I can wear them with cords, jeans, dresses, anything. And they were super comfy right out of the box.

Great boots! Waterproof, and a bit wider toe box that accommodates thicker socks. Really comfy for lots of walking and I like that they fit my smaller calves with plenty of room for skinny jeans tucked in! I wear a 8 1/2-9 and I got an 8 1/2 in these. No need to size up at all.

These boots are awesome. They have been very comfortable from the moment I put them on. Warm and nice looking. A great purchase!

So far, I love these boots. They are very comfortable and stylish. I wear them to the office with dresses and/or jeans. I look forward to taking them to East Coast for the holidays and see how they hold up in the snow!

Great boots! A bit on the narrow side with the calves (my calves are pretty average for a female), but it stretches a bit after some wear. Overall great for any wet weather and look snazzy and get compliments frequently. Highly recommend these for winter, ladies!

Gorgeous and stylish boot! And despite the lack of any lining, it's quite warm. This is probably one of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I walked several miles the first time I wore it and my feet still felt wonderful. You can easily add in a shoe insert for extra support as well. Highly recommended.

These boots are awesome. I was trying to replace my three-year-old pair of Spire Peak or whatever the shiny, slightly more dressy Merrill boot was. These have a lower heel but they are warm, waterproof and very very comfy. I have skinny legs and I have plenty of space for socks, leg warmers, and skinny pants to go under them. These are lower than I expected and end at the largest part of my calf, but I like them a lot. Lots of people have already complimented me on them (they love the buttons) and they look fairly edgy although, like another reviewer commented, they are matte and already look a little 'broken in'. I've only had them for two weeks but I dig them!

Love these boots! I have pretty hard to fit feet especially when it comes to boots- wide feet, high arches and apparently large calves. After going a half size larger than what I normally wear, I found my perfect boot. These are so comfy, a day after receiving them I took them on a 10 day trip through Europe. Walking all day through cobblestone streets in the rain was no problem! My feet stayed dry, warm and had no issue getting up the next day and doing it all over again!

So many good reviews and now I know why. Don't order these if you don't want to spend the money, because you won't send them back. Perfect as soon as I put them on. Actually these will save me money because I won't bother trying any other boots. I spent this much on a couple cheaper boots last season. Just buy these and forget having 3 so-so pairs of boots. Definitely for the cold though.

I read the reviews before I bought these and everyone talked about losing buttons. Merrell must have fixed the problem because I toured the UK in these and buttons are all still there & fine. It rained every day on my trip and my feet never got wet. I can fit my orthotics in them as well. I have a wide foot with a high arch. I love them. I even wore them with a dress to high tea at the Ritz, but I might have been pushing it a bit since they are sporty. The buttons give them kind of victorian boot look.

These boots are awesome! I purchased the black pair last year and they are still wonderful! I am usually a 5.5 or 6, but the 6 in this boot was too tight in the calf area. I'm sure it would have stretched a bit, but I'm glad I got the 6.5 so I could wear thick socks if I have to, and it allows for my custom insole. My only complaint, as I've read with many other reviews, is that one if the little buttons popped off. But I contacted Merrell through their website chat and they sent me about 30 free of charge! Great customer service, and now my boots are good as new! I really recommend these boots!

Best boots ever. I live in Costa Rica & when my friend visited with her Merrell waterproof boots we went on a 9-waterfall hike & her boots were thoroughly soaked through. The next day they looked like new - not to mention how comfortable they are the moment you first wear them. I ordered mine later that week & love them. They are pricey but worth every penny - this is rainy season here & boots like this are priceless. Plus they are very cute & fit my short legs perfectly (I got the mid-calf, they also make taller ones).

These shoes are unbelievably comfortable right out of the box! Seem to fit true to size and have a nice wide toe box

I live in these boots, rain or shine. They're waterproof, they're edgy and they're so comfortable you could walk for miles in them -- in fact, I have covered most of NYC in these boots. I'm hoping Zappos carries them in brown again, so I can have them in two colors!

These boots are very comfortable, stylish, and made to last. Sadly, I am returning them because I bought them for a vacation and these boots will need to be broken in. I live in Florida and don't need such a heavy boot. I purchased an ankle boot from Arcopedico, I have a different style of that brand and love them, need no breaking in and are very lightweight. If you will wear these boots often I would recommend them highly.

I don't normally write reviews about anything, but these shoes are amazing. Bought these boots to walk around San Fran Bay Area and absolutely love them! Not only is it stylish, but it's so comfortable. They fit like a glove. I am normally a 7.5 and ordered a 7.5 and there was enough room for thin or thick socks, either way, the boots fit well and provide a lot of arch support and comfort. Waterproof feature also a plus for the rainy San Fran winter. These boots pair well with just about anything.

LOVE these boots! They have a futuristic look to them that I enjoy. Fits well, very soft and comfy, waterproof (I've deliberately jumped into deep puddles to test this!), warm in cold weather and not too sweaty when the weather heats up. The only bad thing I've found is that on a wet tile floor THEY ARE SLIPPERY AND DANGEROUS. Wow, take small steps and be careful. Otherwise, enjoy your cool boots!

Such a great boot! I had doubts about it being completely waterproof; when I stepped in a puddle up to my ankle and my feet stayed dry I became a true believer! Very comfortable from day one. They have a very nice cushioned foot pad. The leather stays looking very nice despite being tortured this horribly snowy winter with salt all over the roads and sidewalks. I have pretty muscular calves and these fit. Worth every penny!

I was looking for a pair of hip, stylish black boots for going out, and for a pair of waterproof, around-town boots. Instead I found them both in one, perfect pair of boots. Thank you Merrell and Zappos!

These boots area great. I noticed them first as the Tetra Launch but was put off by the price. This year I tried them on and was sold. They are much more comfortable than comparable Keens or Tevas, for me at least. I put them on with medium socks and they were perfect from the start. They are great for long walks, around town, in the northwest winter rains and on top of skinny jeans. I get a lot of compliments. They are wearing very well and I am wearing them just about daily, I am light on my shoes generally. Even though they are light weight (a real plus) they are warm as well as waterproof. I cannot say enough! Get them now on sale!

AMAZING! Wow, this is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. I think I've worn them every day since I got them, and I never want to take them off. Soft leather uppers, and a springy, supportive sole. What's not to love? I haven't had any problem with the buttons falling off, as others have mentioned, so either Merrell fixed this issue or I've been incredibly lucky. Time will tell, but these babies rank a #1 from me!

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned! I can put them on in the morning and not take them off until late at night and my feet feel great! They are true to size! I've had many compliments on them and would highly recommend them! Worth every penny and then some! Carol C.

I have had the same pair of these boots for three seasons and they are still going strong with minimal care (yearly clean and condition with store bought product). The leather outer has worn well, building character with every nic rather than turning dingy, and they are still waterproof, even at the seams. I have a wide foot and an athletic calf that these tetra launch boots accommodate wonderfully. The lining provides moderate insulation, but order a size up if you want to wear thick socks inside. My only qualm is the arch support. For an arch that easily collapses, inserts are a must as there is very moderate arch support in the shoe.

I bought these boots in 2007 and they're still going strong. I actually did have a button pop off in the very early days of my ownership (I think an overzealous dog may have contributed to this), which led me to exchange them for a new pair--but since then, they've remained intact for more than five years of frequent wear. I really love the detailing on the back; it makes them seem more dressy and stylish despite how practical they are. They're AMAZINGLY comfortable, and the waterproofing works really well; my feet haven't gotten wet despite wearing them all the time in gross weather. I don't plan on retiring my old Captiva Launches any time soon, but if I ever have to, I'm glad to know I could still get a new pair. They're probably my favorite pair of shoes, and even though the leather's a bit scratched after all the years I've worn them, they still look great (if anything, I think the wear adds a bit to the charm...and I bet they'd look even better if I wasn't too lazy to polish them). I can't say enough good things about these boots, or about Merrell in general.
