Great shoe for the recent snow in MD. The shoes are roomy enough for thick socks, but they are so warm you won't need them. I have a large foot (size 9) and these shoes aren't huge and bulky like some of the other snow boots. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

The size of shoe is a little larger than marked but it is a good size when you need to wear thick socks in winter. The ankle support is very good but cushion inside the shoe is not soft enough and I recommend you to wear cushioned crew socks.

Awesome! These boots were out of the box and literally on my feet all weekend. Fit my regular size perfect with a regular sock (would also be fine with a thicker ski sock if I wanted as there is plenty of room in the toe box). We spent the snowy weekend on our feet indoors and out - including snow shoeing in these boots and my feet were warm (not hot) and comfy! Best winter boots I've ever worn!

As stated in another review, these boots are great from the ankle down but the upper really rubs the leg right above the ankle despite having tall socks on. I haven't worn mid size boots in a while so maybe they will break in and my leg will get used to them. They were quite comfortable to walk through snow and kept my feet warm which is what I was looking for.

This is a stylish enough for a serious winter boot not too clunky wide in the toebox like some. Super easy to slip on and lace up. I ordered a half size up as I have a wide foot. They were a little long but i have room in the toe area. I wear gaiters for deep snow and there is not a center lace to hook onto. Not a big deal they have to hook off center. They keep my feet dry and warm.

This were very wide in toe box and narrow around the ankle, no matter how I adjusted the laces--they just didn't work for me. I have generally found Merrells to be on the wider side, but these seemed wider than usual. I did size up 1/2 a size to accommodate thick socks and the length was perfect. I sent them back and kept the Vasque Coldspark Ultra Dry--they fit me the best and were the most comfortable.

Nice boot. I have an older version, and the crucial item the older version has is a gaiter clip ring, which this new version does not - for us snow hikers, that ring is very important. Regardless, I gave the boot four stars due to this lack, but I had to return them because the size I ordered was too big.

Comfortable and surprisingly lightweight, but ran large. I was worried that the uppers would chafe my ankle/calves too much.

Really cute boots and like how easy they are to get off and on. They are reasonably comfortable, but not sure I would get this height again as rubs a little on my shin unless I am very careful with socks. This is my first Wisconsin winter in some time so happy to have the warmth and non-skid soles.

Great choice for solid winter walking boots. I walk with my puppy over two miles most days and I wanted something with good support that would keep my feet warm and dry. These are up to the task and very comfortable as well. They are also well made so I expect them to get me through a number of Minnesota winters!

Purchased for a winter job working at a ski resort - wore for 8 hours a day 2-3 days a week outside. These boots are warm, comfortable and kept my feet dry. It was a mild winter, so not sure how they would fare in really cold temps. They worked great for me, though!

These boots were nice to look at and they felt well-made and lightweight but they also were wide on me at the back of the foot and ankles. I felt like I could nit tie them tight enough to make the boots comfortable enough for long hikes. These are going back.

I typically wear a 10, but with thick socks I ordered up to a 10½, they fit very roomily. The top is so stiff, felt like my ankles were locked in. They are very comfortable, but I am returning them.

Hiked with my dog in about 10 inches of fresh powder. There and back my feet were happy. I always wear a 9 in Merrells, but these I could have gone a half size smaller. I'll just wear 2 pairs of socks next time?

Somewhat comfortable. Boot shaft is stiff around the ankles, as others have stated. The cushioned footed is not so cushioned. Could really use Merrell's Sherpa Insoles. I did put in a sports insole, which helped a little. I don't think the -40F comfort range is accurate.

I bought these boots for what has turned out to be one of the worst winters we've had in Wisconsin in years. I wanted a comfortable waterproof boot with good traction that I could walk in and wear all day. I hate changing into shoes at work. I've been wearing these nonstop ever since I got them. I can commute to work, wear them all day (I'm on my feet for 8 hours) and commute home with any discomfort.

I have mixed feelings about these boots - I wear size 11 and they are very roomy, especially in the toe box. I can wear heavy socks without a problem which I need in this cold winter! They have rubber over the front and sides so they are very waterproof and grip the sidewalk well. My complaint is I agree with the other reviewers who mention that they are stiff on the top. I find them hard to lace because the top just isn't flexible and then they are so stiff I almost feel like I am wearing ice skates!! I am hoping they will soften up after I wear them. Once I get them on and start walking I get used to it, but they feel very clunky because I can't flex my foot.

Comfy boots, keep my feet very dry and great in snow and on slippery surfaces. Nice supportive sole, big enough to wear thick socks and extra room in toe.

Got the shoes for work so that I could go where I needed to and not worry about getting them dirty. Love that they are comfy and are waterproof. However, the next time I wear them I will be wearing taller socks. The inside of the shoes were too rough against my leg and I had to forgo them for my other shoes. Other than that I totally recommend them!

Was very stiff and uncomfortable. ( Tried on with different types of socks). Color true to what I saw online.

Nice, comfy boot, but the ankle shaft is too stiff. No matter how much I loosened the laces, the shaft was just too stiff. Must go back.

Nice boot but WAY too big. I usually wear a 9, this feels more like a 10. Seems like it would be nice if it fit properly.

The lace hooks are plastic not metal. They are pretty comfortable not are not any warmer than doubling up on socks.
