It was a present for my mom, she has been walking daily for the last 10 or so years, so she needs comfortable shoes and for sure durable ones (still testing this...) but they do look durable. My mom is 54 years old and had foot problems in the past so choosing is difficult, she is happy and feels great on her feet so far, I will 100% recommended for middle age people, also for people with previews medical issues on their feet.

Very happy with the shoes. Bought them for my teenage daughter who walks to school. Stylish and matches uniform.

I love these shoes very comfortable I am going to order another pair.

Very pleased with these shoes. They were comfortable from the beginning with enough toe room. They are true to size and I wear a size 7M and these were perfect. I ordered the white/purple and they tend to get dirty so I would go with a darker color next time unless I was using them for the gym only. I would recommend these shoes to anyone just looking for a comfortable walking shoe. I have not used them for running yet, so I won't comment on how they are in that department, but I feel they have enough support to be good for brisk walks and short runs.

I needed new shoes since my other running shoes got ruined by a mud run. Love these, need to get ones that are wide with but I'm sure once these are broken in properly they won't hurt during a work out.

This pair of Asics is actually a little smaller in length than the last pair I bought. Both are size 11. They seem more like a 10.5, which is the size I wear when I can find it. They are lightweight and comfortable. However, I am glad that I have orthotics with better arch support because the inserts that come with these Asics are very thin. I am not a runner and wear these for daily casual wear. I like the toned-down color of the gray and blue.

Loved them, but they were a little tight. I ordered a wide width.

These sneakers are so comfy! You can't find a nicer pair for this price. They run small though. I take an 8 reg or 8.5 wide. I had to return a few pair but I had to take a 9.5 wide and it fits perfect. I hesitated buying them because I didn't think a pair so cheap would be so nice, but they are. They are a very nice sneaker.

I thought they were shiny in the front, but it is actually to lines. They are ok. My feet are wide, I ordered half size bigger. They still look narrower which is great for me since it looks better. I feel the support and I can't wait to start really working out with them. Zappos excellent fast delivery!

Asics-Gel Contend is a stable shoe and I am thrilled with the quality. Asics hasn't let me down during the 20 years that I have been running. If you are looking for a stable shoe that's not too heavy or too light and you are in the 12-18 miles per week group , this is a great shoe. I guess you can use the shoe for + or - miles as it's a sold shoe with a great reputation. It's just like Zappos.

I bought these shoes to walk the track at my gym and am absolutely delighted with the comfortable springiness I feel, even with my plantar fasciitis problem in one heel (still used a gel insert on that shoe). Based on other reviews I opted for a wide width (for the very first time) and the fit is perfect. Zappos, as always, gives excellent service.

Asics are the best. They are a bit pricey but they really do last longer and hold their shape the best of all the shoes I have tried. I have never been disappointed in Asics and certainly have been very pleased with this purchase. These go with everything and are super comfortable too.

This is a great shoe. Really lightweight, great for running on a treadmill. I've received several compliments on the color too!

These are the best shoes for my feet. They are my second pair and in between I tried two other brands to no avail. From now on I will only buy Asics.

These are my first pair of Asics. I love how light weight they are, and the gel cushioning is very comfortable. I walk in them all day around the university, in the hospital I volunteer in, and my feet don't feel tired at the end of the day. Zappos is awesome with their return policy as well. Go Zappos!

I really like the Asics Gel-Contend I recently purchased. These shoes are not only very comfortable but stylish. I have just taken up running and they give my feet a lot of support.

I'm very happy with the fit of these shoes, and my feet are hard-to-fit in athletic shoes (narrow, long, a little bit arthritic). I needed a pair of comfortable shoes for casual wear, walking, standing in the classroom, and light exercise activities, and these shoes are fine for that. I wouldn't recommend these for running more than a couple of miles at a time, and I don't think they would last well for a die-hard runner, but so far, these are working well for me.

These shoes are very light weight and I love the color. The gel allows a much softer impact. Although I ordered a wide size, it fit a little snug, however they felt much more comfortable after wearing them once.

Very happy with the shoes I purchased. An impressive selection available. I wear these shoes to work every day, and am on my feet all day. Shoes are great. The delivery was amazingly fast. Got them much quicker than I expected. Love getting shoes on Zappos.

This is not my 1st pair of Asics and it won't be my last! I don't need wide width but I do need toe room. These provide a very nice and cool walk or play tennie! I also love Zappos!

I bought these shoes as a gift for my 20-year old granddaughter who finally landed a job as a cashier in a clothing store. She tells me she wears them every day with superfeet orthotics and she no longer has pain in her feet or knees. She is very satisfied with the purchase and likes the speed with which the shoes arrived. She loves the color.

I have a hard time finding my size in stores forced to mail order- small feet - I like the shoes- light weight - wish they were a little more cushioned but overall nice for price - and for mixed excercise program with minimal running- work for me.

I ordered these sneakers in the purple/white/black combination, size 12W. The size 12W fit well, snug but not overly snug. I really like the colors in these shoes. I knew I would need to add my own insoles because most sneakers lack enough cushioning to handle by tall, plus-sized body. I will be returning these not because I was unhappy with the sneaker but because I tried on the Asic Gel-Kahana 6 after it and went "Holy crap - these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever tried on." These Gel-Contends would have had a happy place in my home had I not tried on those Gel-Kahana.

I love these shoes. I have worn them for my daily walk for about a month now. They are comfortable and fit well.I read the reviews before buying these shoes and not do agree that they run a little small. They were a perfect fit for me.

I tried several other big names. My favorites were and still are Asics gel runners shoes. My first pair I bought after reading an article in Runners Magazine rating them as top. I never heard about Asics before then. That one pair I kept for more than five years now. It was time to update to the new cute styles out. I liked an Adidas returned it as it lacked arch support and felt too snug on my toes, I am a 9M. I returned it and did not want to risk sizing up. I went back to the brand that worked for Asics. Got the grey platinum with the lime and hot pink accents. It is cute, loud but not too loud for a lady. They are just as I expected of Asics, comfortable like heaven, light, Roomy toe area, true to size. They provide perfect arch support especially for a runner with partial flat feet like me. Specific for running where arch support is a must. True there are cuter styles in other big name brands but when it comes to running, you cannot forgo one bit of arch support or toe comfort or you will not be running for long.
