This is the best jacket I've ever seen, worn or bought. It's so light weight that when I first got it I was skeptical it would keep me warm but the omni-heat keeps you ridiculously warm, even during a blizzard. The water proof exterior is fantastic for snow or rain. The pockets fully zip so you don't lose anything, it even has a hidden interior pocket. The longer length is great and the zipper zips up from the bottom too so you don't lose circulation when you sit. The jacket rolls up so small that I can fit it into my purse, it's the PERFECT travel jacket. It's even machine washable! Buy it, you won't regret it. The jacket does run really small however. I usually wear an XS in shirts, small in jackets, and I had to buy a size medium to be able to layer a light sweater underneath. So size up.

Haven't used another jacket since I bought this one. Much lighter than the navy my friend has, they must have updated the color, but still very pretty. Very classy and lightweight which is perfect for wearing around everywhere and the office. You definitely need to be walking around to activate the omni-heat otherwise it's not very effective strolling down the street in a 45 degree sunny day with blistering wind; only set back I was disappointed with.

This jacket is unbelievably light and easy to move in! It's a bit fitted so you can tell you're actually a female in the coat, and it's so well thought out: inside pocket, thumbholes, zipper pockets, double center zipper... But if I could add a couple things: pull or snap to keep the hood on and snug, and a pull at the bottom for when it's REALLY cold. This jacket will keep you warm into the 30's, 20's or below with some warm layers. It warms up within a minute if you put it on cold. ***If you wash it DO NOT dry it. Mine melted a bit and I was devastated - on medium heat for just 20 minutes WITH other items! But I happily bought another, plus the down-filled version, and will NOT dry them at all going forward!

Jacket was purchased for my daughter, she LOVES it. The jacket is so lite weight it's unbelievable just how warm it keeps her. The purple color is pretty. Suggestion; add velcro fasteners to the base of the hood to assist in keeping it on. Dress lite when wearing this jacket you can become "hot" easily, even during cold weather.

I love this jacket!!! Nice and warm. I wore it throughout a weekend with > -20 degrees; with a long sleeve shirt and sweatshirt under it and I was very comfortable. A little roomy so I can wear a sweatshirt if I want and be comfortable. Does run a little small, but I read the previous reviews so I knew before I ordered. The only suggestion I would have is there needs to be a drawstring in the hood. It is wide, I think so you could wear a hat and scarf comfortable but there is no way to tighten it.

Love it!!! I have to say this is the warmest, lightest coat I have ever owned!! Would recommend to anyone wanting a light weight longer coat! So happy with my purchase!

I have never been a person that likes wearing a coat due to how heavy they can be so I was looking for a coat that was lightweight yet warm. I have been very pleased with the comfort and warmth of this coat!

I usually only get black jackets. I decided to go for the trade winds Grey. It's a little out of my comfort zone and not exactly the color I was expected. The coat is also shinier than I expected. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it so I left the tags on for a few days. I live in New England and the two weeks I've had it the temps have been from 20-40 degrees, and my body was always comfortable so I did decide to keep it. It's light and easy to carry a bunch of stuff while wearing it (I'm a commuting student in Boston.). I ordered a M thinking the jacket would be a little big and that was okay. It is big up top, not too big, but around my hips are a little snug. I'm 5'2 and about 140 athletic build. If I went a size down to accommodate my upper body, I would have ripped the bottoms. I wish the top was a little smaller.

I purchased the mighty Lite Coat for my adult niece for her birthday. I was worried it was too thin when it came. My niece decided to wear it on a 8 degree day. She only had a t-shirt under the coat. She said she was sweating as she walked to work in downtown Chicago. I love Columbia gear. That's the only gifts I give.

This coat is great. As a senior and beginning to struggle with carrying heavy and bulky items, this coat is perfect, not only is it lightweight, completely functional and provides all the warmth I need it is very easy to maintain and carry wherever I go. Based on material and quality of product I do not believe I will need to purchase another coat for many years. Thank you Columbia for surpassing my expectations.

This coat is the lightest, warmest, sweat proof coat I ever bought for the cold weather here in Chicago. I love it. Columbia is the best.

Bought this for work in a negative degree environment. Worn with an under armour base shirt and a thermal I stay amazingly warm. I do think I could have ordered a small (I'm 5'7" and 140#) but I wanted to be able to layer. I love this coat. It does everything I need and it's super cute.

I am beyond pleased with this coat, which I bought on the recommendation of a friend. I living in South Carolina, it is perfect unzipped for our mild winters and it just got me through a week of 7 degree weather in Chicago. It is conveniently fits in my cross body bag and although it is warm, it isn't too heavy.

I love my Columbia coat! It is light weight but yet so warm. I don't like wearing a coat while driving because they are so bulky but this one is different! I would recommend this coat to anyone!! I have 2 of these coats, 2 vests, one waist length coat. Trust me, if these would not do the job I expected, I would only have one coat! I have a total of five Columbia Mighty lite Omni Heat coats/vests! Love them!!

I like the length and how thin this coat is. I thougth it would feel funny with the Omni Heat lining but I do not notice it.

I'm 5'4", 110# and the S fit perfectly with room for a sweater or hoodie underneath. I wear this for long walks and errands. Could not be happier with the coat as it keeps my legs and bum covered and toasty, plus my torso. I'm in Western NC where winters are not bad but I'm amazed at the warmth for such a light jacket. Love the thumb feature, color - EVERYTHING!

I'm 5'3" 34"D 30"waist. Bought the XL, sleeves a little long, otherwise fits perfect. Can add sweater for days under 45 degrees. Bought this coat for cold mornings walking the dog without the dogs hair sticking to me. Love bluebell color.

What jacket for my sister after she had purchased a north face jacket and the Northface jacket was a lot more cheaply made she got the Jack in about a week ago and has already purchased two more Columbia jackets because the quality is so good

I purchased this for my 21 year old daughter, she loves it! Keeps her warm walking between classes on her college campus, fits perfectly and she likes the way it looks as well.

Was first introduced to this coat a year ago....bought one for my (almost) 94 year old mother. Every other coat feels too heavy for her and your coat is so-o-o warm as well as lightweight. I then bought one for myself and last month gave it to a visiting friend....then promptly ordered another one for myself. I would say I'm downright "evangelistic" about this coat...can't say enough good things about it...washes perfectly, easy to roll up and pack. Oh....took my wheelchair bound father to the movies and rolled up my coat to give him more neck support. You have created a MUST HAVE coat! Very impressed! Charlene

This coat is amazingly lightweight and warm!!!! I was looking for a coat that didn't weigh much as I will be traveling with a lot of clothes as it is. The length and fit is perfect for at 5'9", 160lb. person.

I tried this coat on in a store last fall, but didn't buy until January - why did I wait so long?? It is warm without being stuffy, and fits very nicely. The Nocturnal (dark blue) color is just different enough from black that I don't need to worry about mistaking my coat for someone else's. The sleeves are plenty long and the pockets are deep (although they are placed a bit lower than I'd expect). I bought a L, which is what I wear in Nike gear, but I'm usually an M in regular clothes.
