PROS: Rugged and waterproof. Good materials. Clean, simple design. Flexible sole for a boot of this weight. Warm for cold weather. CONS: Bulky and fat-looking from above and side. Not much arch support but insole is removable. Have to crank down the laces to feel snug; might fit best with thicker sock or adding extra insole to take up volume.

Very nice boot. Comfortable as soon as I put them on; no real break-in needed although I wouldn't walk cross country yet. Only thing I was disappointed in was the color. The Zappos website showed them with a beautiful rustic red with dark accents. The ones I got were a uniform tannish brown. Still very nice but I sure wish they looked like they did on the website when I ordered them. Great service though, as always, from Zappos in addressing the disappointment I had with the color.

Since the demise of my favorite urban walking boots by Cole Haan part of the extinct Country series I have been looking for their replacement. Not too paramilitary and take a good shine. These are not my first Eccos but I took them on a trip to Toronto, a little slush, snow, ice, lots of pavement and these handled it all in comfort. A 4 until I see how they last.

These are nice boots. I have orthotics, and they create a bit of a problem with the fitting. I have to be careful not to strap the upper parts of the shoestrings too tight or else the boot presses on my ankles and they hurt. Having said that, I had the same problem with all my boots, including an old pair of Track II.

Great boot! Clean professional looking; however, the soles do not last whatsoever! Ecco once told us the would repair the sole, not true. Won't purchase these expensive boots again.

I'm on my feet on concrete all day and I have to say in my 35 years of working these had to be the most uncomfortable boots I have ever had. Ordered another pair of Timberland Pro's.
