Spend the extra fifty dollars and purchase the TracK II. I called in twice and spoke to two different customers service reps before buying and asked what the difference was between this shoe and the TracK II. Twice I was told it was essentially the same shoe. Well, it is NOT! I have had three pairs of the Track II and consider it the best casual shoe ever, Winter or Summer. I am disappointed in the Track 6. It is stiffer and not as comfortable. I don't think it looks as good as the Track II either.

I usually wear Ecco Track 2, but they do not go in black, so I bought Track 6. These are also excellent shoes, very sturdy and comfortable, however they are a little heavier (different sole material) and do not fit the same way as Track 2. The most common fit issue stems from the fact that shoe sizes are discrete, while actual feet sizes are contiguous, so one has to be lucky to attain a perfect fit. Track 2 provided such a fit for me, and Track 6 is somewhat big, but still okay, especially with heavier socks. It seems to be a general trend at Ecco (and may be entire show industry) to make their shoes half-a-size bigger than before, probably because of the increased on-line sales, as people are less likely to return slightly bigger shoes than smaller ones. I wear 9.5 US and buy 43 EU, which is according to the chart, corresponds to 9-9.5 US, but for the later ECCOs feels more like 9.5-10. Size 42 EU is still too small for me, but if I were size 9 US, the 42 may have been something to consider.

I don't treat shoes particularly well. They seem to tear or stress out fairly fast with me but ECCO usually doesn't. My made in Denmark pair lasted forever but its replacements didn't wear as well but still offered great comfort. These shoes have held up well, are just as comfortable, and seem better made than my last pair of the same brand. No regrets.

This is a great, sturdy, comfortable walking shoe for town or trail. I've had a pair for several years and have gone all over with it.

Excellent quality shoe and well worth the money. My normal shoe size is 14 (48) but the original size 14 I ordered was too small so I returned for a 15 (49) which fit very well.

This is a wonderfully well-made and solid shoe -- the perfect blend of a high quality hiking boot (solid, breathable, and waterproof) and a casual business-dress shoe. The leather is thick and of high quality (which means it requires some breaking in). The sole is substantial with great traction, even for snow and ice. And warm enough in very cold temperatures. My only criticisms: The size was a full size larger than marked. I suspect the shoe will be too warm in the summer (but don't know yet).

Most comfortable shoe you will wear. Similar to the Track II, if you had a pair of those you will love these. The web picture does not do the color justice - the Bison Cocoa color is not as bright as the picture both in the rubber and the leather. The true color is similar to your old pair of rich brown track II. By the way, I just replaced a pair of Track II I had worn 4 times a week for 3.5 years. Definitely pick these up if you are after need: comfort, durability, mad style, and waterproofing.

Really wanted to be able to wear these shoes but both styles of Eccos I ordered were too narrow for my foot in medium. No wide is offered. However Clarks in medium do fit. Maybe European width sizing is different. Just a heads up in case you are on the border of medium to wide. Otherwise looks like a nice shoe.

The Ecco Track shoes all models I've used for eleven years have proved to be perfect shoe for casual ware situations; they are stylish, and most comfortable, the Gore-Tex lining keep my feet dry in winter rain storms and snowy mush run off . Ecco has a winner and Zappos service and selection is superb.

This is a great little wedge. I like the fashionable loafer cut, and the small heel that gives a bit of height. I have found it to be an extremely comfortable shoe at work (I teach) and it has garnered several compliments from others. The grey is lighter in person than on the screen, and it has some metallic threads that give it a bit of shine. Highly recommended.

I bought a pair of Ecco boots from an outlet that were so comfortable for walking all day at work on hard floors but they were hard to get on so I found a pair of shoes that were not. These are excellent, no more sore knees at the end of the day. They may seem heavy compared to lighter dressy shoes but at the end of the day you will not be sorry like you will with the ones that feel comfortable and soft when you first put them on but ten hours later you are wondering why bought them! I liked them so much I came back and ordered a brown pair for wardrobe completeness!

This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I ever bought right out of the box. I am 6'4" and 350lbs so comfortable shoes are hard to find.

Some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, gave me the ability to stand in a factory environment all day! Very well made, I've purchased over a have dozen pair of these over the last ten years. Also, great in snow and icy areas!

I had a pair of similar Ecco shoes for some years. Then, a month ago, seemingly overnight, the soles disintegrated. With the opportunity to replace them, I shopped and shopped (online), tried one pair (of another brand) and sent them back. After more agonizing, I came back to Ecco and decided to take the chance with exploding soles. I can't wait to wear these clomping through the snow. They'll probably be good for hiking. I'm satisfied, and they feel good, like I hoped they would.

The shoe feels a bit tight in the toe area and across the top of the toe area. The heel area is sort of cupped at the top to hug the heel, and this makes for a secure fit. I bought this shoe by Ecco because it came in size 14-14.5 and one foot measures a little over 14, so in the past I had to get size 15. which was a bit too big. I watched the video and it showed someone bending the shoe almost in half to demonstrate its flexibility--but don't believe it. It is rigid like most new shoes. Also, as another reviewer stated, the color and finish are not as shown in the pictures. The finish is a dull brown.

I have worn 2 pairs of the GTX II which are the best shoe I have owned in last 40 years. This shoe (black GTX 6) is different in its leather construction which allows the top/toe leather to slightly press down on the foot. Honestly I don't know if this is a problem but it feels a bit wierd. The soles support system is the same which is great. I have 10 yr old GTX's that still support like new and other than the toe leather which remains to be determined with wear if or if not it will cause a pressure problem, I think they will be fine. I would recommend this shoe. Runs a full size large so I had to order 8.5 instead of my reg. size which is 9.5!

I like them okay, except they look a bit better (bison cocoa color) in the photo on the site. They are actually quite a bit darker than shown. I guess they light them up too much for the photos. Comfort is good after a short break-in period . Fit is true to size for me. These were priced higher until just recently, in my color, so a pretty good savings.

The color is very different from what is portrayed on the website (and also the ECCO website). They show a tan/reddish brown shoe. What I received is a dark brown shoe, very dark brown. Returned them as the color is misrepresented. BTW, I have Spyder color calibrated Dell Ultrasharp Monitor, so it is not my monitor that is the problem.

I heard a lot about Ecco. I loved my first pair, so I decided on another. They looked great, fit pretty true to size. However, these fall short terribly in the comfort department. I wore them around the house, seemed fine enough. I did not start to notice how stiff the heel cups are on these until I started driving to work. Absolutely uncomfortable! I had a terrible hot spot after eight hours. I cannot wear them again and I cannot return them either. What a waste. Ecco's more tennis-shoe like items are way better (highly recommended) than wearing these two-by-fours.
