This review is for 42-DD Pros - Front closure bra provides nice lifting and very nice shaping. Great cleavage effect, which is hard to find in large bras. Back smoothing worked wonderfully combined with Spanx "Slimplicity" slip. Cons - Material is thin, especially compared to Le Mistere Tisha. Straps are thin. No extra padding on shoulder straps for larger bras. The square metal piece that attaches the strap to bra allows the bra strap to become twisted (partially because the straps are too thin and silky). The majority of the back smoothing on this bra is above the band. I don't think it would smooth below the band without being combined with the Slimplicity slip. Band is not adjustable (like all front closure bras) so get the right size! Cup size runs a little small. Returning it for a 42-DDD. Overall - I think this bra will do work for a special occasion, which is to be worn in combination with Spanx Slimplicity slip. I needed something that would support and show cleavage. It's a little too thin and cheaply constructed for everyday wear. I don't think it will last long.

If you follow the Spanx instructions to measure for the correct cup and band size, this is an amazing bra. A large portion of your upper back is discreetly covered in whisper-thin sheer stretchy fabric, leaving no floppy back fat chunks. Bra cups are so soft you hardly know they are there, and yet supportive. I hope this bra holds up for the long haul, to justify the price. Up until now, I have only been satisfied with Lane Bryant balconettes. LB back smoother bra gapes at the shoulder blades.

This bra "smooths" by having a wide, almost athletic bra, panel across the back. It is very comfortable and looks great under clothes. It tends to push the girls in rather than up, creating cleavage. I've washed it several times and it came through the delicate cycle well. On me anyway, it is true to size. My only caveat is that the material across the back is a little scratchy. Other than that, great bra.

I have mixed feelings about this bra. It is the only bra I've ever worn that absolutely does not cut into my back, so looks nice and smooth under clothes. However, I've had it for only 5 months, and it has already fallen to pieces. The way that the straps attach in front is silly as well, and tends to come unhooked and twisted. But overall, I found it quite comfortable (or as comfortable as any bras can actually be, bedratted torture devices), but I'm not sure I can afford to spend this much every 5 months on a bra.

Most comfortable bra I have found in years (34DD). Support is spread across the back, instead of the typical band under your bust and straps. Smooths sides also. Great bra if you have problems with straps falling off your shoulders.

A long-time user of various Spanx products, this bra is no exception to their outstanding quality and design. It does wonders to smooth the troublesome back bulges around the bra line which detract from smooth or silky fabrics! I love it, it runs true to size, and is a great addition to any women's lingerie wardrobe!

Straps are far too thin and uncomfortable for this type of bra. They dig into your shoulder area even if adjusted. I'm an athletic size 8, bra size is 36D. And frankly I'm really surprised at Spanx. The designers missed the boat on this one. The back on the bra is great. But let's be honest: The majority of the people who will buy this bra either have extra fat on their back, (or even those little areas that we want to smooth out), or large breasts. Why in the world would a "bra" company put such skinny straps on a product that is intended for more comfort? It makes zero sense. I would buy this bra again in a second if it was redesigned with wider straps. Meanwhile, I consider this a substantial design flaw.

Most uncomfortable bra I have ever worn. ever. I had deep red marks from the hooks digging into my skin. The bra was not tight, just the hardware is poorly covered. I am so upset that I removed the tags and wore this as now I am stuck with an overpriced torture device! I gave it 3 stars cause it did smooth the back, like it says. I'll take lumps over severe pain any day.

At first I was happy for the back smoothing and plunge. However over washings the satin band on the edges on the back near the strap has separated and rolls out a bit. The wire supports under the armpits dig in painfully, and the front clasp has insufficient coverage so the hooks dig in as well. The shoulder straps do not bother me and I love that I do not have to keep tugging them up but after less than a year I am so ready for a new bra and they are hard to come by, comfortably in larger sizes.

Who is shaped like this? Too big in the band, cups are too small and a really weird shape. The cups floated about an inch away from my body at the bottom while at the same time I was spilling out over the tops. Absolutely no support. I would think that I had ordered the wrong size but I also ordered the same size in Wacoal and it fit like a dream. Last but not least, why would you attach so many tags to the thing that it's almost impossible to try on without removing them?

The bra that was delivered looks nothing like the one in the picture. The back was completely different and resembled the Bra-llelujah back and not the full back as pictured. The front did not look the same either, but the tag appeared to be marked correctly. It was way too big all over even though I wear a 40C in other brands. It's a huge disappointment, and it's on it's way back.

I am such a difficult bra person to shop for anyways since I have small frame with DD. I am 5'2" and compared to my favorite bras from Soma for the price this did not impress me. It fit true to size but it is a demi cup which is not really described so you have your breast spilling over. It did smooth the back but has a strange low clasp in front. The fabric felt like it would not make it through 2 or more washings. It was really thin fabric which if designing a bra for DD in front you need support in back. I love the Spanx brand their smoothing tanks and hosiery. Bra I have to give a 1.

I agree, this is the most uncomfortable bra I have ever purchased. I can wear it for a short time and then must rip it off. It does smooth the back as advertised, but the torture is not worth it. The metal does stick into my upper abdomen and the wire on the sides digs in and leave marks. Very expensive mistake.
