The color doesn't look like it did in the picture. I ordered Taupe Tan Rustic, and it looks brown in the picture but was green. The fit was weird: kind of tight overall, but my heels slipped in the shoe. Disappointed because I love the style.

Wow these are small. I wear a size 6 normally, and I’m a 6 in their tall boots (like Gogo), and a 6.5 in their shorter booties. After reading the reviews I sized up to a 6.5 and still can barely get them on. They absolutely smush my toes together and are so uncomfortable. There is also way to much brown popping through the black for my taste. So bummed. I wish these were actually distressed black, then I would go with a 7.

I tried two pair and both were way too small. The first pair I thought that the wrong size had to be placed in the box. Then the second pair arrived and they were also super small. I could barely get my foot into the shoe. I also order a half size larger than I wear to fit my custom insert inside the shoe. Even with out the inserts I had trouble putting these on!

I LOVE wingtips! And these looked amazingly cool, BUT, the colors made me feel like a clown. I considered getting plain brown ones but decided not to force the issue. I think my practical side wouldn’t let me splurge. :)

Loved the look of the shoe, but not even close to size and thus not comfortable. Sadly returned.

I wanted to love these, but they were far too tight (I have a med-wide foot) even when I bought a 1/2 size larger. I could go up a size, but I don’t think that will solve the problem. If they came in a wide style that would be great. They are beautifully made shoes and I would love to own a pair. Sadly, I have to return.

Love the shoe but way too small

These are the prettiest, must rustic oxfords I've owned. I ordered a 9 and found them to be extremely tight (could only wear with stockings). I went 1/2 size up and am now able to wear moderately thin socks with them. Much better...still breaking them in and have only worn them twice. Hoping they'll stretch out a little more. Beautiful shoe but that first pair I ordered was a killer!

I like the look of this shoe but it is so narrow I couldn't make it work. My usual size is 7.5, I ordered a 7.5 and an 8. They feel a half size small. I sometimes encounter width issues but not with every shoe, the Lita was an absolute no-go, it's a bummer. FWIW, I didn't notice an overpowering odor but they did smell a little weird when I did a close-up sniff. How often do you do that, though?

The color isn’t as great in person. I also tried the darker version and I didn’t like those either. Returning for different, darker color.

Beautiful shoe! Absolutely beautiful. Had to return because the sizing was too weird. I felt like when the shoe broke in it would be too big and it rubs on the back of the heel. Soooo sad because the leather on these shoes were bad***!

I am a solid size 9 for 90% of Zappos shoes. I couldn't even get my feet into the 9, when I ordered the 9.5 they still felt way tight and small. Shoes are gorgeous, just sorry they don't fit.

Run small in size

Crushing disappointment! I first ordered the black in a 9.5, my usual size in most of my shoes. It arrived, it was beautiful, but I could not get my foot in the shoe. It was so well made and I knew the leather would stretch, so I decided to take a chance on a 10. Zappos did not have the black in a 10, so I got the teak, which was also beautiful (the darker parts were more brown--to me, they looked almost black in the picture, but definitely brown in person--had they fit, I would have worked with that). I could get my foot in the 10, but it was still too tight to trust whether they'd stretch enough, and they were also pretty long in the toe. For what it's worth, the front of my foot is wider than normal but not wide enough for a wide shoe to be comfortable (also, my heel is normal width). I also had both bunions removed, so I'm not willing to take much of a risk with too-small shoes.

Although it is not evident from the Zappo's photo, the leather is purposefully extremely weathered, to the point of looking old and used. Additionally, despite the two-toned model's description of the color as "black/rustic rust," the part that appears on the photo is not black but rather a dark brown. I have returned these.

Looks too much like a man's shoe.

I wanted to love these, but they are sort of dull and wide looking, and also are heavy. Not worth the hand-made in USA price (which I am more than willing to pay for if I like the shoes and the fit)

Love the styling of this shoe. I'm typically an 8; ordered the 8.5 originally but it was too snug. Exchanged for the 9 and it's just a bit too long, and also still very narrow. Sad to have to return them.

Definitely unique look with all the stitching and scuffed upness. It's wicked narrow for my feet! Had to send back. Definitely a go if you have narrow feet and looking for a shoe that no one else is wearing.

I wanted so badly for these shoes to work. However, not only do they look completely like the picture (the tan rustic is overall much lighter and very patchy), but the two pairs I got don't even look like one another! I guess if you get one and you don't like the color, you could try your luck and exchange it for the same size. About the sizing: it's bananas, and not in a good way. I wear size 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe, so I got both sizes to compare. However, the 9 fit me like a 10, and I literally couldn't get the 8.5 on my foot. I saw another reviewer with the same problem (9 too big, 8.5 too small), so take note if you're about that size.

Meh. Looks like an awesome pair of elf-clown-bowling shoes. I so wanted to love these. Like others said, the leather is gorgeous and I love the detail and color BUT they're too narrow, too pointy, and they kind of flip up in the front. Blah. Also, I could've skated around the house, the bottoms are THAT slippery.

I wonder if I got a defective pair? Mine smell amazing, look great, but are extremely long. I am a true 9½ and when I put them on there is a full thumb's distance between my big toe and the end of the shoe. They otherwise seem to fit well and are very nice looking. I am going to order another 9½ and a 9 to see if it is the shoe design or if these were somehow mismarked. Also, the toe does curl up weirdly and looks sort of rumpled, for lack of a better word. Something is not quite right with these.

These are the coolest looking shoes. They are a bit odd fitting and I think I'm going to deal with it just to wear them. The arch support hits early, just off the heel. I ordered an 8 and there is 1 1/2 inches of deep space past my toes and the leather of the shoes bumps against the nail of my big toe. Okay, now that just sounds weird but I have normal feet. Room only for a thin sock. The bottom of the shoe is very slick and needs roughing up. I need to really wear them but we are buried in cold and snow and haven't worn anything but wool socks and boots.

Beautifully constructed very high quality shoes. Unfortunately, they are very narrow and in a size 9 they resemble clown shoes. Regretted having to send them back.

I wanted to like these shoes really bad. I loved the quality, even the smell and liked the look (definitely kind of a "careless" distressing (i.e. very inconsistent) in the tan color, but I think I could have pulled it off). But they are very wide, most problematic in the heel. My heel slipped out at each step and the laces were as tight as they could go. It's also a shallow heel so no room, really, to try to put in any sort of insole to make it snugger. Unfortunately, have to send 'em back.
