These are nice looking boots. Virtually no break-in period needed. They don't have any arch support, and the heel pad that is glued in feels awkward and uncomfortable. I bought an insert that added arch support and a little padding. Now they are comfortable and good looking. These are more dress casual boots. With a leather sole, they don't seem like they would last long in an outdoor environment.

I really like the looks of these boots, but there seems to be some serious quality control issues at Fryes. I have now ordered three pairs of these in the two tone grey/black that is shown in the video. The first pair I received had one shoe that was grey/black and one shoe that was all black, so I ended up returning them. The second pair I ordered turned out to be all black, in spite of ordering the grey/black ones, so this pair also ended up being returned. And the third pair I ordered was finally the correct color. But alas, since I had been reading about everyone ordering half a size smaller than normal, I had ordered these in half a size smaller than what I usually wear and they were too small! They are stunning looking boots in the grey/black combination, if you can get them to ship you the correct color. Unlike many other comments here, I do not think they run large, but are true to size. I can squeeze myself into the half size smaller, but they were definitely more comfortable in my normal size.

I bought these boots a little over a year ago. At first I really liked these boots but now the stitching is coming apart. Unfortunately it's just over a year so Zappos can't do anything and I am waiting to hear from the manufacturer (Frye). For the price this boot should be able to last much longer. For example, I have had boots from other makers that I use in construction that are cheaper and last much longer.
