Just bought these along with a brown pair to replace my now worn out Gold Cups. Best shoe Sperry has done, period!

Ordered these more out of curiosity than anything else but man these exceeded expectations. Beyond comfortable and look great. The price is absurd but I’m more so because I’m keeping them.

I got these after owning two pair of the regular (not Gold Cup) A/Os. Compared to the regular A/Os, the Gold Cups' leather is much higher quality and sturdier, the stitching is neater, the welt is stitched (again, sturdier), there is more cushion, and the calfskin lining is very comfortable. They're worth the extra expense, in my opinion. They will need more care than the regular A/Os, and I wouldn't wear them on an actual boat or to the beach for fear of damaging them. They're basically loafers. I'm keeping my old A/Os for beach days and outdoor events.

I have been a size 10 until this order. I reorder a 10.5 that was a perfect fit. My foot got bigger at 71 or they are cutting the leather a little shorter.

This is the most comfortable boat shoe that i have ever owned. Soft leather and very comfortable inner sole , nice heel . I can appreciate why it cost 50. more than their standard model..

I have had boat shoes since the mid 1970's. These are probably the best boat shoes I ever had. I have had other brands, and I am convinced that, these, the top of the line Sperry Top-Siders are, without a doubt, the best.

I have bought several pairs of Sperry Gold Cup deck shoes and the insoles crack up with in a very few months. Sperry doesn't NOT make replacement insoles. What a same for the price of the shoes. I will not buy any more Sperry Deck shoes.

This pair of shoes is the second pair of Sperry boat shoes I have owned, and both have had the same problem - the sole insert extends from the heel to just beneath the ball of one's foot, and it quickly comes unglued from the front and rolls up. This is not extremely uncomfortable, and can be temporarily rolled back easily enough, but it has been very frustrating to me - enough so that I will no longer buy Sperry brand shoes.
Aside from this issue, the shoes are very comfortable and much better constructed than the cheaper, non "gold" Sperry shoes.

Did not wear them. I tried them on, and the fit was fine. But they were not an acceptable alternative to the real Gold Cup
pair they would replace. A little research showed that there is a Cadallic version of what Sperry is calling Gold Cups. The version I received is a Chevie version renamed as a Caddy. Some marketing genius thinks it will sell more of the cheaper brand. To say I was mad understated it ... but a little research showed that the "real" version is still available... and I have already ordered the "real" Gold Cup pair ASINB0056XJCBE
ColorAmaretto Size11.5 WidthM (D) Price$180.00. More expensive, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for. And sheepskin lined makes all the difference.!
I'd also recommend:
Sperry - the real Gold Cup shoes. These have misleading labels. I suggest u lable them clearly.

I still prefer the Authentic Original, which I wore without socks. The Gold is very much meant to be worn with socks as the leather is soft and the insole is thick, soft leather. If you were to wear these for extended period of time without socks, I'm sure your feet would sweat and/or blister. They are exceedingly comfortable in socks and look amazing. They are not breathable, cannot wear without socks, smaller in size as compared to the Authentic Original, hard to break in, solely for fashion (I am sure you could not get these wet without damaging the leather).
I'd also recommend:
Lacoste, Polo, Sperry Top-Sider Authentic Original

Regarding shoe sizes, I can easily wear size 13 med or with some shoes sometimes fit into a 12 med without being too uncomfortable. These Size 13 topsiders are very, very tight both in length and width. I would say more like a normal U.S. size 11. I suspect they are made oversees and sized incorrectly. I would gladly exchange for a Size 14 but that is not offered or available.

Very disappointed. I ordered these shoes on July 7th, and a month or so later (August 12th) the inside lining of the tongue has come apart. For the price I think the quality misses the mark in a big way. Maybe I received an outlier, but I would have loved these to last at least a summer.

Read a lot of reviews and online articles about boat shoes before buying these as my first, and I can say they did not disappoint. VERY soft and comfortable and they feel like they will fit like a glove shortly. I tried another brand and they were nowhere close.

Love the traditional boat shoe. These are really comfortable shoes with cushioned insoles. Reading reviews for the women's shoes, I saw that most ran narrow, so I purchased these men's shoes in the brown color, medium width. I'm a size 10.5 in women's and the men's size 9 fits well. Maybe could've done 8.5, but I prefer a little extra room than less.

I'm a female and decided to purchase the men's shoe as the review's for the women's shoe indicated they run very narrow. I wear a 10 or 10.5 in women's sizes and got the men's 9, which fits very well. I like the classic colors and style of this brown boat shoe with white sole. The insoles are very cushy with moderate support. I've only worn them once, so cannot comment on durability, but very pleased thus far with the purchase.

Got these for my husband, who sailed as a kid and is starting up again. These are even nicer than the ones he remembers. Super soft and supple leather, good support.

The Sperry Gold Cup A/O 2-eye shoes arrived quickly and in excellent condition. They fit true to size and look first rate. The price was extremely reasonable.

The leather is premium (very soft) and the foam inside the boat short (especially the heel) is very comfortable.

I'm happy to receive the replacement shoe that I should have received the first time. I had to upgrade to the gold cup to achieved that quality.
