I just got this bag and it is perfect ! It is exactly what I am looking for. As the title says it is a quintessential bag. It is elegant, durable and at the same time multipurposeful. It is spacious without being bulky. The handles are a perfect comfortable length. I have been looking for an everyday travel tote with zipper for a long time and have even ordered and returned a couple of more expensive bags but this bag fulfills all my needs. It has a professional look and I am now taking it to work.

I love this bag. It is the perfect overnight bag. It is also perfect for a carry-on bag on the plane. It has so many great pockets!

Extremely light. As in, adds zero weight to your shoulder. Lots of compartments, zippered ones, security compartments, hidden compartments that are very deep so things (like work badges or keys) won't fall out. Roomy enough for a second pair of shoes, your Kindle, your lunch, plus all your normal purse stuff.

Great bag! Very lightweight...weighs nothing actually! And holds a ton of stuff. Great pockets in the inside help so everything doesn't fall to the bottom of the bag. And the two outside pockets are very deep...you feel comfortable putting keys in there - no way they'll fall out. Holds a water bottle as well. This is great for plane travel, everyday use - or I love to pack it as a separate bag in my suitcase as it adds no weight to my luggage. Can't go wrong with this one...for work, for fun, for over night, for travel!

For the woman who wants/needs a large bag, this is it. I can't believe how light it is, given its size. The interior pockets are SO useful. I was lucky enough to purchase this bag in fuschia, which apparently is no longer available, and I am now thinking about a darker color for the fall.

I have this in red, but the utility is unbeatable! So versatile: I use it for trips when traveling, I throw my running shoes, towel, and water bottle for a workout, and it even holds ALL of my smaller purses (I have a backpack for work). Great to use everyday use as well as a big adventure. Can even carry food (which is a big plus- sometimes it doubles as a grocery bag!)

This is the Tumi quality you would expect. This a great bag. Well made. Awesome neutral color. Great fabric. Leather straps. Great inside organizer pockets. Love!

After moving to a city where I could commute by public transportation (versus car), I had to find a new way to transport my daily essentials. This Tumi bag has been perfect. When I unpacked it, I thought it looked awfully small for the job at hand, but somehow it fits a laptop, an iPad, a giant wallet, my shoes, my lunch, and all the little incidentals that get carried along for the ride. There are two hidden, deep outer pockets that are perfect for my house keys, cell phone, and train pass. They are easy to access without unzipping the bag, but you would never know they were there and they are deep enough that things do not fall out. The black looks great for my dressiest days but also for casual Friday. The only thing is that I wish the straps were just a little thicker as they tend to slide off my shoulder, so I have to always hold the bag on my body when I am walking. All told, though, I love this bag.

This bag is fantastic. Not too heavy, and you can pack a lot into it and still access your water bottle and boarding pass through the two secret compartments on the outside. Very sleek looking. The leather shoulder straps are just the right length for a tall person like me, and they do not slip off. I totally recommend this bag for carry on travels.

I ordered one of these for my daughter-in-law and liked it so much I ordered two more, one for my daughter and one for me. I returned the slate gray one...for some reason the material was much thinner than the smokey quartz; surprising that Tumi would do that. The smokey quartz color is beautiful. The sale price also helped in making this a great purchase.

This bag is fabulous. I had been toying with the idea of buying that ubiquitous Longchamp bag, and I could never get past the fact that it had no pockets. Presto, I found this bag. This bag has everything I loved about the Longchamp bag and none of the drawbacks. Tons of pockets, light yet durable, and classic enough for work, evenings, travel, etc. My personal favorite thing about this bag are the little hidden compartments for keys, phone, etc. They are easily accessible, but not visible. That is brilliant. I love this bag, and would strongly recommend it.

This is the perfect carry on bag! I bought this earlier this year in the bright pink and just love it! You can fit a couple of iPads, a jacket, some snacks, and a small purse in this tote. There are several pockets too. A zip pocket and a couple of slip pockets inside and a slip pocket on either side of the main zipper compartment next to the handles. Get this bag for your next trip. It's great!

I loves this Tumi Voyageur Quitessential Tote it's enough room for all most everything needed to take with you, on plane or every day bag and very lightweight that's what I loves the most and loves the two pockets for water bottles.

I'm a work tote fanatic, needs to carry two large water bottles, my lunch room for a small clutch and not weigh a ton. This bag is awesome! It also has all the great style of TUMI. For travel you could easily roll it up and put in your luggage. I may get another color, it's that good.

This bag is the right size for my purpose. For its size, I will its style a 4 star, but this is not what you will call a fashionable bag. I am not sure why, but I'm having a hard time keeping the shoulder straps on my shoulder. I'm hoping that as I use it more (I've only had it for a couple of days), this problem will go away. As other reviewers said, the numerous pockets in this bag are very useful.
