Was a Nike fan for 20 years. Always bought their top of the line but my last pair fell apart in the first month. Bought these shoes in reaction to poor customer service at Nike. I've had them for two months now. Similar in price...unbelievable comfort and support. I am super happy with my choice. So long Nike, hello Brooks Glycerin!
I'd also recommend:
Asics as a possible cost reduction. But the Brooks are worth the extra $

Getting back into running after spending a couple years away (shin splints have a way of taking the fun out of running.) These shoes are absolutely amazing. Comfortable fit and good cushioning through the entire stride. I definitely plan on buying another pair once I run down these.

If you need a Neutral + shoe, this is the best. Tons of cushioning in the heel & forefoot. I don't pronate, but supinate a little. I've got bunions on both feet and weigh 180. I run low mileage on asphalt but even the low mileage made my feet hurt with other shoes...like the Nike Vomero (no cushion in the forefoot). Comfortable from beginning to end of my runs. Highly recommended.

Just purchased a pair of these shoes and I absolutely love them. I have been wearing Nike Vomero's for years, but got frustrated with how quickly they wear down. These seem much more durable and although slightly stiffer provide a similar level of cushioning.

Great shoe wear a 10.5 to 11 2 E, use it for running sprint work. Brooks the best running shoe, also use the Ghosts. Wish they would make more 2 e in different colors. Zappos is the best, only buy sneakers/shoes from them. Thank you for great delivery and customer service, I ordered these from Calabria Italy on a Friday night. They were at my door in Rhode Island that Monday.

I am a big guy - 6'6", & 300 lbs. I was looking to replace my Asics Gel Nimbus 12's because they wore out after 3 months. The Brooks Glycerine 10 is a much more solid shoe...more comfortable (cushy factor), and has a wider heel which keeps me more stable when jogging. I highly recommend these shoes!

The G10's are great! I have run in the 8's and the 9's, and I have about 200 miles on my 10's so far. I think the changes Brooks made from the 9's has made the shoe even better. I still put in a lot of mileage with my 9's, but the 10's are my go-to shoes for any of my runs longer than 8 miles.
I'd also recommend:
I only run in Brooks.

This is the best running shoe I have ever purchased - I actually bought a second pair in the red/black. Great running shoe!

I never had running shoes before these but I can say these are really nice just a bit tight. I tried running in my regular shoes it made my feet hurt really badly. I suggest going to Runner's World and taking the quiz to find the running shoes for you. This is what it suggested for me and I like them. There is a lot of cushioning right where I hit the pavement and push off just what I needed. I can run farther than I could have ever imagined. I did not know that shoes were such an important part of running.

I had been a big Brooks fan for quite a while until I tried Mizuno Wave Riders last year. I wanted to get a new pair of Wave Riders but the only one that came in my size was a horribly ugly yellow and blue number that I simply would never wear, so I decided to go back to Brooks and give them another shot. The Brooks Glycerin aren't quite as comfortable as the Wave Riders, but they are a solid shoe. My main problem with Brooks is that a D is not quite wide enough, but a EE is way to wide (I tried both through Zappos, since their return service is wonderful), whereas a Mizuno EE is perfect. I'm 6'4 and about 230lbs and a proper shoe width makes a world of difference in long term comfort. The Brooks Glycerin 10 have held up pretty well so far with my running, biking, and weight lifting and feel very stable. If the width fit my foot properly I would give these a 5/5.

I previously ran on Ghost5 and determined that I needed more cushioning on longer runs and decided to upgrade to the Glycerin. I was fairly satisfied with the fit but a bit disappointed with the Toe Box width compared to my Saucony Powergrid Triumph 9. The cushioning was superb in comparison to the Ghost 5 and the Triumph 9. However, more cushion means a bit more weight and I notice this after the 11th or 12th mile. Also need to mention that the Glycerin has very good lateral stability. Overall I felt like I got what I expected out of this shoe

The Brooks Glycerin are a very good shoe and I have found them fairly comfortable even on rocky trails. If there is anything that I would improve with them it is their fit with orthodics. They could have a little more depth in the midfoot so that the top or dorsal foot is less cramped. I have to skip lacing holes and tie the shoes loosely so that my run is comfortable.

For years I have been a loyal Asics Nimbus series runner. At the recommendation of friends I tried the Brooks product - big mistake. The shoes had insufficient padding in the heel box area and the toe box had a strange angle that made wearing these for a run painful. Compared to the Nimbus I felt like the soles were hard and uncomfortable.
I made the mistake of trying these shoes but will not be going back to this brand again.
