The backpack is very roomy and gives a lot of access to organization. It can fit a lot of things in it such as my heavy books for high school and pens. However, I couldn't even get through one year of school before both of the mesh pockets ripped and I could not hold my water bottles, etc. anymore. Also, the fabric around one of the zippers got caught and began to rip. It may just be a preference of mine but I did not like how the bag could not sit up on its own unless it was filled to the brim. Which made it really hard for me to leave it on its own without having to set it up against something so it would not fall over.

I use mine for college. I bought it the summer before my junior year of high school and now I use it in college! It still looks brand new like I bought it yesterday. I love it.

i used this book sack for school and it changed the game. the front pocket is perfect to hold everything to get me through the day. the very very front pocket is even lined for things like sunglasses and phones so they won't get scratched. i live ok louisiana and it rains here a lot. i cant tell you how many times i've had to run through the rain and the outside was wet but nothing inside was touched. this is overall one of my best purchases.

My daughter used this backpack all through high school and it held up great. She loved the room, and how it felt. She could have continued using this same bag into college but wanted to change things up with the color. We will keep the old one for travel and day trips.

I have had my Borealis for 4+ years for high school, college, and travel. Love the padded laptop compartment and useful compartments throughout (1 big, 1 medium, 1 smaller outer). I have had NO holes on the bottom even after years of wear, and backpack doesn't stain/rip easily EXCEPT the mesh bottle holders. (Does hold 32 oz. Hydroflask, though). The mesh ripped very easily and now anything I put in the holders falls through. I wish TNF made the bottle holders out of a different material, because no other part of the backpack show signs of wear and tear. It is also frustrating that they do not really offer a repair for the rips, I would definitely be willing to pay a fee for them to replace the mesh. Overall, great backpack, comfortable with laptops/notebooks/textbooks, very durable and spacey, but the mesh bottle holders SUCK. Also, if this matters, kept my stuff temperate even in extreme Minnesota weather!

I have the old version of borealis that I purchased about 3-4 years ago and the design is much better because there's more room. I don't like how this new version is. The separate pocket for laptop is useless and takes too much space.

I bought the backpack for going to school on my bike and it perfectly works. The weight distributes perfectly and this design makes it feel weightless.

I'm in middle school and it's perfect it fit all fo my books, binders, and anything else I need.

This backpack is extremely uncomfortable and way too narrow to fit binders. The shape of it makes using it such a hassle. The pockets are all too small and my computer all hardly fit in the laptop sleeve. Puts me in a bad mood every time I have to use it. I don't know if it's the women shape that makes it so narrow, but I do not recommend buying this especially considering the price.

This backpack is very good quality, comfortable and comes in a variety of awesome colors. I purchased this backpack last year to use as a college freshman. I found that I had wanted just a little more room to carry books, notebooks, etc. However, if you are someone who tends to have most of your books digital, or you don't carry them around campus - this might be perfect for you! Overall I like this backpack and I was able to fit everything I needed - it was just a little tight!

I like the roomy second compartment, and the padded laptop compartment. The whole bag feels well constructed, but the shoulder straps feel really stiff. I hope with usage the straps will soften a bit.

Love this product! I use it everyday for school and I have tried so many book bags that are comfortable but this is the only one I will use! I would recommend this to everyone. Go get it before the one that you like goes out of stock.

Lots of handy pockets for all sorts of stuff. Mesh pockets on the outside are deep enough so water bottles don't flip out. I can pack it with stuff and still have room for extra jacket etc, cuz I get cold... My kids have used theirs for 3 years of hs, crammed with heavy books and laptops. All their friends too. They are super durable! They wash up too in hand wash setting in the machine.

Great Backpack that will last a long time. It is a pretty versatile backpack and can be used to for multiple purposes, i.e. school, work, and travel.

This bag is so worth the price! I bought the bag mainly for traveling but I use it literally for everyday use. I love how the back of the bag is padded. When traveling, I usually carry my camera, laptop, extra batteries, and other equipment with me. So, having a padded and supported back makes it easier and more comfortable for me to carry my heavy bag filled with equipment.

I absolutely love this backpack!! There is an incredible amount of room for storage, and it also has a high durability. I bought it to use for my hiking trips, which as an added bonus, the backpack has 2 mesh water bottle holders! It also has a spacious laptop component in the back. Definitely worth the purchase for whatever you need.

I use my last north face back pack for 8 years before purchasing this one. They last a very long time and I use my backpack everyday for school, work, and traveling! It is super durable and very fitting on my back. I love the design of the backpack and the style. Especially if you really got a lot to carry around like me. I usually have 2 large binders and multiple notebooks and folders inside with my laptop. It does look bulky and big like the other backpacks I've seen. Also the empty backpack itself isn't as heavy as others.

This backpack is great, so great in fact both my roommates also bought this backpack. We love it! I was nervous at first that having so many different dividing sections would make it feel small, but it helps keep everything organized and fits just as much as my old backpacks.

I have The Jester backpack that I use as my work laptop bag. I travel often for work and needed something to carry on my back since I'm usually lugging around a suitcase too. I bought this backpack because I want to use it for personal travel so I don't have to take my work stuff out of the other pack. I love all my TNF products!
