Originally got this for school but got a different one as gift. I like the weatherproof design and beautiful color. Very versatile!

I use this backpack to commute to work every day. It fits my lunch bag (with a lot of tupperware), a coat, my laptop, extra charger, hydroflask water bottle, and portable coffee mug. It it doesn't look too packed! Good material. Back of it is a little stiff, but it is not uncomfortable in any way. I've never used it for hiking but I'm assuming to would do well. I recommend this back pack!

My favorite thing about this backpack is the pink color! I got a matching Northface jacket and always get compliments when I wear them together! I used the Northface Surge backpack all of college and it was the perfect size for all my binders and books. When I graduated I wanted something smaller that could still fit a lot but without the bulk. I got this one and it was exactly what I wanted. It fits my laptop, planner, and what ever binder or books I need with me. I work as a nurse and it fits all my supplies and am able to use it as well for outside of work. The water bottle compartments are perfect because it covers half of my huge water bottle so it won't fall out, and I use the other side for my everyday supplies such as pens, ID, and scissors. It is also very supportive and has cushion!

I bought this backpack for hiking to replace a backpack I've been using for years that is getting a bit worn that had a drawstring and larger volume main compartment. This backpack is stylish with great color but a flatter, narrower space in the two main compartments that seems better designed for a laptop and notebooks than carrying the things I would take hiking. It's a nice backpack but won't replace my other hiking backpack.

This is my second North Face backpack and I like them both. My other one has a couple more pockets, but is bigger. Can't go wrong, these bags are very durable and protect my computer and other belongings.

The pockets on the side seem to have been sewn incorrectly and whatever you put in the side falls out. I prefer my Patagonia backpack to this one. The student discount was nice, though.

So, I had bought this because I needed a bigger bag to use for school, and I know North Face to be an amazingly durable company. The bag is very durable and VERY high quality, HOWEVER if you are planning on using this bag for school, please get a different bag. The way that bag opens is very, very annoying when you're in a classroom, and the bag does not stand up. It falls over on its face when you set it down, no matter what direction you set it down in. Also, I find it to actually bet too heavy and too clumsy to use as a school bag. It would probably be a perfect hiking bag for LONG trips, but not for short ones or day hikes.

Bigger than I thought as far as space goes, but doesn't look like it's swallowing my entire back. Super cute, stylish - love it!

I really like the backpack, it's the first North Face backpack I own, and you can tell its great quality. I can tell I'll have this backpack for a really long time and can use it for many uses travel, outdoors, commuting. However, the only thing I noticed is that it might be a bit heavy? Other than that great! I'm also petitie and I like how it's not too big

This is not my first North Face backpack and have always chosen North Face backpacks for its quality and durability. I got this backpack for personal use (i.e., traveling, hiking, etc.). Love the color and the amount/variety of pockets this offers. I also like the padding on the straps and back of the backpack - very comfy. My main complaint about the backpack is that the bottom of the backpack is not flat and does not stand up on its own - so when placing it down the backpack often tilts or just falls completely flat on the front. Overall a great backpack, would still recommend.
