I love mine! So durable and cute. I needed a good backpack to take to class that could fit my laptop and a place for a water bottle. The blue color is really pretty and unique!

Best backpack! I am a nursing student and it holds all my books and even has a slot for my laptop that I use for my iPad! I walk almost 2 miles to class everyday and the padding makes me feel like I'm not caring anything! Would highly suggest this to any student or comunter! I love everything about it!

This backpack has a lot of space and compartments. I think the laptop storage will be so useful because I will have it with me everywhere I go. The colors are awesome and vibrant!! Totally recommend getting this backpack.

I have had the same North Face backpack for the past five years and I wanted a new backpack for college, so I looked into this one because it had the highest ratings. I didn't want anything too flashy color-wise but instead something more neutral. I ordered the Metallic silver/TNF black backpack and when I opened the package it was like I had gotten a bag wrapped in aluminum foil. The picture on the website looked like a dull silver that would be neutral and not too flashy, but in person the bag looked like something from an astronaut's space suit. It was way too shiny and it was not something I could ever envision myself wearing around school. I returned it for a different bag and color.

I ordered this for my daughter to take to middle school. It was a hit. She loves it. She will have best looking book bag at her school!

very compact with many zippers/ separate storage areas. Great for college because of the amount of space it offers, as well as the laptop holder

My new purchase is amazing. I have enough compartments to place all of my school supplies and technology. Even though it's for school I can use it for anything.

Amazing backpack! I am using it for school and it carries everything I need nicely! The back padding is the best part! I never feel like the bag is weighing me down nor does my shoulders and/or back hurt everytime I use it. I would recommend for anyone willing to make an investment in a backpack that will be put to great use for years and years to come!

I looked into North Face back packs because I knew they would last a long time, and that's what I wanted. I ordered the BOREALIS in all black to start my freshman year in college. I just recived it today and it looked very small even when I made it expand as much as possible. I am use to big book bags from nike and other places. I was kind of disappointed I went a put all of my school notebooks and binders in it. To my surprise it all fit I had put three single subject notebooks, 3 1" binders, a Macbook Pro 13", tons of pencils and pens(in the front pockets), a graphing calculator. It was crazy how well everything fit and it felt great on my back, even though I had so much in it, it didn't look like it was over flowing. I would say it's an amazing backpack if you don't like oversized bags and you want comfort!

My fourteen year old grandaughter is a freshman in High School this year so I offered to buy her a new backpack. After spending hours on the internet looking at every backpack made she decided on the North Face Borealis Black/Frosty blue one. She could not be happier. It has everything she needs for her first year in high school and beyond. Most important it is "very cool". I happen to think starting out with confidence and feeling good about yourself s a formula for success. Thanks North Face she is starting her high school career feeling so good.

color was more vibrant than i imagined and it only makes me love it more. surprisingly stores a lot and is comfortable to carry. Looks good, feels good! can't wait to be at Oklahoma state this fall and carry it on campus. GO POKES GO GREEK GO NORTH FACE

I ordered the Coastline Blue and Electro Coral Orange. I was so excited about this color combo. It looks so cute on the screen. When I looked at the backpack in white, I saw that the pink-coral shade on it was actually stated to be the same color as was on this coastline blue, so I decided it was the perfect touch of femininity without being too girly. I just got it and it is not even close to being pink or coral. It is a bright neon orange. The blue is actually much darker, too. The backpack is not attractive by any means and is far off from the picture. I'm returning it in the morning.

I purchased 2 backpacks. I told my 2 daughters to go look and find a backpack for this year. I come home from work and ask my 13 year old if she found one and she showed me on the computer the WOMEN'S BOREALIS BACKPACK. I said ok that is great. So later that evening I asked my 10 year old if she found a backpack and she said yes.... she showed me the exact same backpack. Neither one of them knew that they picked the same one!!! out of all the backpacks in the world my girls pick the exact same one and same color!!!!! love North Face!!!!!!! Andrea Proctor

I just got my backpack in METALLIC SILVER RIPSTOP / TNF BLACK in the mail. In the picture it looked like a light grey, but it is a very shiny metallic silver. I'm sending it back for another color, so that I don't blind anyone on my college campus. I can't wait to receive a new color, because it's very comfortable and has lots of pockets!

ExcPurchased for my daughter to use in college and love it so much I will be purchasing a second on for myself. Excellent quality. Stores everything comfortably which helps make the long walks across campus less cumbersome. We love the Borealis. Thank you North Face!

I bought this as part of my Grand daughters 16th birthday gift as she has wanted a Northface backpack for a long time. She just loved it and loved the black with the greenish trim.

Love this bag! I have been looking for a new work bag - getting tired of the standard tote bags... I work in healthcare, so this was perfect for books/files, stethoscope, and plenty of room for a change of clothes or toiletries if needed. Lots of great pockets, very sturdy, and love the colors. Also plenty of room for my 15" laptop if needed.

I haven't used the backpack yet. I bought it for school. It has everything I need including laptop sleeve, water bottle holders and padded back support. The great thing about this backpack is that its lite and fit woman perfectly. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that it is on the small side compared to other backpacks.

When I first received the backpack, I was really excited. I loved everything about this bag; the color, the style, the quality........and then I tried to put my school supplies inside, and surprisingly only one binder and two notebooks fit inside the main compartment. This was really disappointing because the men's version of the Borealis is 29 Liters, while the women's version is only 25 Liters.

I ordered this backpack to use for school and am disappointed to find that it barely fit two binders and a book. It was definitely not enough room for me and cannot fit all my supplies. It also only has two sections, which leaves little room for organization. Might need to return this one.
