I use this backpack for school and have enjoyed it everyday! Lots of pockets for easy organization and storage.

We bought this for school and it is very well made and has extra padding in the straps.

Great for school

I'm a parent on a high schooler and 5th year college student. My wife an I buy back pack very yr. it's been such a waste, never lasted. If we would've purchased yrs ago it would paid for it self time and time again. Greta backpack. Both kids have them now. Thanks the north face.

Great for school, there are many pockets and a good amount of room for books and notebooks!

I loved my older recon and this new one is nice bri see it's slightly bigger. Although I am a smaller person and it's a little large on me. Everything seems alright with it other than the the laptop holder in the bookbag starts higher up than I like and is tighter than before.

It is fully loaded now with back to school supplies. There is no problem with fitting in everything that is needed. it is very comfortable to wear.

excellent for carrying around AP textbooks all day and school. so many pockets to store stuff, so much room for activites!!

Mesh pocket is perfect for u-lock. Padding and shape is very comfortable. Ideal for use as daily commuter backpack.

Backpack is great and very supportive. It came in right on time and the padding on the back is very nice. I just wish there was something on the bottom to keep the backpack up right

I am a sophomore in high school and this is my second north face backpack! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the first one I had, but I used it for 4 years and just wanted something different! I LOVE the north face backpacks! They are the best quality, comfortable and fit all my stuff!

I use this backpack for school uses, but if I were to travel or go hiking I would definitely take my north face backpack with me!

I have a bad back and needed something with lots of padding. Definitely gives me good support and has a spot for everything. The only con I have is that the look/feel is a little bulky, but I'm hoping that'll change with a little use.

This bagpack is great for day hikes and around campus. It's comfortable and protects my books from the rain.

Everyday use for school

This is my second North Face Recon backpack. My previous one is still going strong after 4+ years of use, but I wanted a change. I love the ease of use of this model - well-thought-out pockets, large zippered openings, comfortable padding ... I may never buy a different pack!!!

Extremely comfortable and easy to carry. Has plenty of room, I went to school with it and held everything I needed. Great backpack!

I really love this bag! I got it in black/powder blue and it is gorgeous. However, if you tend to over-pack (like me) I would recommend the jester. In hindsight that would have been a better pick for me. However, it is encouraging me to reduce my "must haves" backpack list (turns out it isn't necessary to bring 50 colored markers every day!) My one complaint is that the shoulder straps are a bit wide set for my petite frame (5'3" 95lbs. ... about 32in bust) After a long day of walking around campus in a sleeveless sundress my arms began to chafe ... However, this shouldn't be an issue for most.

I use this product for college and it works great. Distributes weight evenly and has fleece pockets for my computer. Has a relatively small carrying capacity but I don't need much for just going to class

My daughter uses this backpack for high school and for casual weekend trips or hiking. She's so happy with it because it stands up strong to a lot of use and it's aesthetically pleasing, not to mention all the pockets and the protective laptop sleeve. Her only wish was that it had a wider width at the bottom for her school books. It's a high quality backpack that she can use for a long time! We are happy!
