I used it for my school bag and it seems to be working great. I found it a little small, you wouldn't be able to put a lot of big books but defiantly some.

I'm just packing it now for a trip to S. America. Seems roomy, but I'm limited a bit on space with the hard back and weight is heavier than expected when empty. I am allowed only 11 lbs on the Peru train and since this starts at over 2 lbs, I feel limited. I hope it's durable, but I trust North Face products. Just took one of the North Face jackets with zip-in liner to New Zealand and loved it.

I use it to carry my class material, and I love how it looks and feels. However, its uncomfortable to wear with sleeveless tops, cause it kind of scratches on my shoulders.

I use this backpack for school and it is so durable! It is also very comfortable. The only problem is it is a bit heavy but I carry so many books around it isn't a problem. I also would like a little more space.

Great bag for school or on the go. Lightweight yet fits all my books and computer. Very stylish design.

I bought this backpack because I thought it was time to invest in a nice backpack that can hold my school laptop, school books/notebook for my last two years of high school and then later for college. It has managed to do all of these things and you can tell that it is definetly durable and I would recommend this backpack to anyone especially high school/ college students.

I use this product for books in college. The laptop pocket is a little small.

I bought the backpack for my middle school daughter. She loves the backpack. She thinks it is stylish and cool. My biggest concern is whether she will be able to fit all her binders and text books in it each day. I wish the main compartment was a little roomier.

I bought this backpack for my high son. He likes it very much. He likes the fact that does not stick out far from his back. My concern is whether he will be able to fit all his notebooks and text books in on a heavy homework night.

So. I really do like this backpack. The laptop and iPad pockets are absolutely wonderful. The main pocket is a little small. I am a medical student and tend to carry a lot of big textbooks and binders for my notes. The main pocket doesn't fit all that I need, so I tend to carry my overflow boooks in my arms. for a high school student or typical college kid this backpack would be prefect.

I bought this to replace a trusty tote bag that I used for everything. Although it was practical and useful...it was also very uncomfortable. I am returning to school for full time studies so I thought it time to upgrade the cute canvas tote for a sturdy backpack that was also comfortable. When I received the package I ripped it open like it was Christmas morning; and I was not disappointed. Pros: Quality fabric, simple design with nice details, armstraps are great - a slightly different design compared to traditional straps, works well, a pocket for absolutely anything you need, the the laptop sleeve in the main compartment is a good design, it's lifted off of the ground so if you drop your bag by the door when you're chasing a crazy kid into the house, you don't have to worry about your laptop or tablet as it won't slam on the ground no matter how hard you drop it, the bungee cord is handy to slip a sweater or light jacket in, well designed side pockets that are perfect for a water bottle, high enough pocket that it won't fall out like most cheap side pockets, also handy to store keys for quick access. Cons: it's not a huge problem for me but I wish it was a little bigger. It fits all I need so it's not a big deal but just would have been nice to have a little extra space for whatever. I added a picture of everything I fit in the main compartment; a small laptop( not pictured),a binder, a text book, 2x 1" notebooks, 2 pencil cases, an average sized lunch cooler. There's my wallet, sunglasses and other random stuff you'd usually find in a moms purse in the front pocket . And I could still throw a jacket in the bungee cords on the front and 2 bottles of water or something in the side pockets if I needed. Bam, ready to rock n' roll!

Very roomy! Looks are deceiving, because it is very flexible hence expandable.

Very comfortable! Larger than the old version which means I can store more school supplies. Wish there were more women's colors that weren't so bright. I ended up getting the black with light blue accents. overall great fit and look forward to using it

A little pricey - could be a tad bigger for a boschool and could use more pockets. But classic design.

I use it for high school. It has decent space but the computer sleeve in the main pocket leaves dust on my tablet screen. It is comfortable.

My daughter is 13 yrs. old and and loves her NF backpack. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a flat bottom so it doesn't sit upright and falls over when put down. I'll be glad to use it for my own use when she's ready for a new in a couple years as I know it will last for years to come.

I love my backpack, i just wish it could feel a bit more soft. Some of the material feels really hard.

Lots of room. Durable!

I use my backpack to lug around books and electronics across a HUGE college campus. I love how comfortable the backpack is and all of the pockets. It's still a little stiff right now, so I do not feel I can get as much into it (such as books) as intended, but it seems to be stretching out. I've only had it for a week, but it seems durable and well worth the money.

My daughter has gone through so many back packs but I think this one will be the one that last the 4 years of high school and hopefully college!
