This is not warm enough for price! The bottom of coat Is too open and air goes up it. It should be a tad longer too. It is supposed to be the warmest coat, I had one that was warmer last year and was not waterproof of listed as warmest coat. It is a little stiff also. Love the wait clips on side to make waist smaller, since most North Face costs are huge in waist.

I really like almost everything about this coat: It is really warm and elegant at the same time, the side straps are great for making the coat totally snug in cold wind, the hood is wonderfully insulating and the fur protects the face and esp the ears from strong winds very efficiently. The only negative comment I could make is that the sleeves are somewhat longer than normally... I suppose it's useful if you like your hand half covered by the coat, but I would have preferred slightly shorter sleeves. But I still love the coat despite that one drawback!

Very warm coat and as stylish as can be expected for a coat designed for that level of warmth. The cinch waist helps to create a feminine shape. Worth the price!

This is so warm! I love this coat. It has saved me in the coldest winter months in Michigan. The length is great and it is tailored nicely for a large parka. I do not really care for the faux fur around the hood because it is very fake looking and has a purplish hue, but the fur is removable anyways. I would definitely recommend this jacket! I typically wear a size 10 in jackets since I have wider shoulders and the size medium fit nicely with room for layers.

I have been shopping for a coat that would keep me dry and warm for a long time. My search is finally over. This jacket keeps me super warm and dry in the worst of conditions! I love everything about this jacket. The hood is nice and warm. Deep front pockets. There are two tabs on the side to keep jacket snug and the wind out!

Love this coat! I am 5ft 8in & about 200lbs & I normally wear an XL or size 14 but I know North Face runs quite big so I went with the Large & it fits perfectly! It is fitted & I can still wear a sweater underneath. But it is not needed because this coat is very warm! I could wear just a tee shirt, leggings & boots on a cold NYC day & be fine! Also, its beautiful & I get a lot of compliments! I got the Purple color & it is like a dark plum color. If your looking for a warm coat that is timeless in style, warm & versatile enough to dress up or down this is the coat for you!

Finally! A warm, waterproof, functional but stylish parka! I've worn this in 10*F with strong wind and this thing keeps me nice and toasty, blocks wind really well. I'm a 4/6 on top and a 6/8 in bottoms and I ordered a medium, it fits perfect with room for a sweater. I'm 5'7" and it hits just at the knee. My only complaint is the cuffs. My friend has the Arctic Parka and the cuffs are lined with super soft micro fleece. The cuffs on this jacket are scratchy ribbed poly. Thanks Zappos!

After a long tiring search for 2 years trying to find the perfect warm winter coat I have FINALLY fallen in love!! :-) I knew this was very pricey but everytime I tried on a cheap coat from Macy's sale rack they all felt way too thin. This coat is perfect combo of warmth, length, and style too! It actually keeps you lookin and feeling like a woman and less like an Eskimo with the cinched waist. I am sooo happy now that I can actually survive the winter here in frigid NJ!! It's snowing tonight..

This coat is definitely worth the investment! I've gotten a lot of compliments on the style. Also, it's extremely warm, does a great job of blocking the wind, and is water/snow proof. Perfect for unpredictable Chicago winters! I was a little worried about sizing, because I fell in-between the measurements for a size S or M. I'm 5'7" 155lbs and the Small fits like a glove. It might be a bit tight if worn with bulky layers underneath, but you really don't need them!

Warmest coat I have ever owned and stylish also. I would suggest air vents in the arms because when you go inside (shopping), then you get super warm. Love...Love...Love this coat!!!

I can honestly say this jacket is one of the best purchases I have ever made. It keeps me unbelievably warm, even in frigid Michigan where I'm currently spending the holidays. I remember another review complaining that wind can travel through the bottom of the coat, but I don't think it's a design flaw of the specific coat - if you want to prevent that from happening, you just need to get a longer version. I get a lot of compliments on the uniqueness trench look (although my sister said it does remind her of a sleeping bag..oh well, can't win them all). I particularly like the snaps on the side that can create more of an hourglass shape, however they sometimes randomly undo themselves. My only resl complaint would be that the neck area is not the most comfortable when the jacket is completely zipped, however I've personally resolved this by just wearing a thick scarf as needed. I highly recommend this!

This coat is just what I expected! I just retired my Arctic Parka and wanted something more form fitting. I'm an XS and I love the adjustable straps on the sides of this coat. It's pricy and I wasn't sure, but I'm absolutely happy, it's cute! As always, Zappos shipped it in a heartbeat ;) you guys rock!

I love this parka. It will keep you warm on the coldest of days and still suggest that you have a waistline. Very flattering for a heavy winter jacket.

I am a size 4/6 and I ordered both the small and medium. The small looked better, but it was tight enough that it would have been uncomfortable with any kind of sweater under it, so I kept the medium. (I have fairly large breasts for a small person, that might have been the problem.) Overall, I like this coat, and the sale price is reasonable, but I agree with the previous reviewer who thought the hood was a mess and it really is. I'm hoping it calms down once it's out of the box for awhile. I ordered the dark purple, but only because they were out of the black.

I just returned from a week in Canada in below freezing temps and snow. This coat kept me dry and warm. I do have a few things that I was not pleased with. The bottom of the coat should definitely have a snap or some way to close. It allows cold air to come up underneath the coat. The neck is somewhat stiff and also the cords on the hood to cinch it around your face are not very easy to manage, especially when the wind is blowing and it is snowing. I don't wear a heavy coat like this very often, so maybe the "perfect" coat in this category doesn't exist! Although I did see some very beautiful and what appeared to be functional coats on women in Canada. All in all, I was happy to have had this coat with me on my trip. It did the job and kept me warm, even if it does look pretty utilitarian.

This is am awesome buy! Zappos provided quick delivery! The coat appears exactly as it does on the website. It is true to size. I purchased a medium I am 135 pounds, 5'5" with room still to spare in the coat for extra layers of clothes. The detail at the waist gives it a more feminine look, you can adjust as you seem fit.

I love The North Face products. I ordered TNF Tremaya Parka in Baroque. The coat looked well constructed, and the Baroque Purple was a gorgeous, deep purple. I especially liked that the waist was adjustable. Unfortunately, the XS was much too long for me (5'4"). Hemming was not an option. Overall, the XS was just a bit too large. Thus, it looked sloppy. Typically, TNF XS fits me just fine. Sadly, I am returning it, but I think it would make a fabulous parka.

This coat is over 3 lbs. The faux fur line on the hood is a mess, but if you remove it, the weird shaped hood makes my head look even bigger. And the shoulder and chest part is big for me. I guess it'll fit athletics women nicely. The reason I give 2 stars instead of 0, is that 1: finally there's no more feather sticking out and keep falling as other North Face Down coats. 2: The front magnetic buttons are really a good idea.

Huge disappointment! On Zappos & elsewhere, I read the stellar reviews about this coat's warmth. I found it just slightly cheaper from another vendor, and was willing to pay to sacrifice to pay the exorbitant price because I desperately needed a very warm coat that was not dressy but was nice-looking. I never once went out in weather colder than 37 degrees (Fahrenheit) without feeling chill quickly seep through the arms and shoulders of this coat -- and it was even worse if there was a breeze or wind, or if the temp was even lower! Why pay this kind of money to feel like you must wear a fleece jacket under it? Oddly, the coat is insufferably hot the moment you step indoors, and is too heavy and bulky to serve when the weather is a not quite so cold! The sleeves are way too long, and the neck is high and stiff -- but is well constructed in terms of keeping air out of neck & wrist openings. It is a nice looking coat, but what on earth does that matter if it's made for arctic weather but is incapable of blocking cold even above the freezing point? With weather in the mid-Atlantic US being so mild in recent winters, unfortunately I did not get to try the coat until several weeks after I'd bought it. I kept disbelieving its inability to keep me warm, so have tried it several times more over the last two winters. Epic fail! So someone can get some use out of it, I'll be giving it to a friend who frequently hosts international visitors from warm countries, with the warning that his guests should wear a sweater under it.
