Super comfy, true to size, and spunky cute (work in pediatric healthcare). Great alternative to those squeaky Danskos! I did have some noise from the insole (removable) rubbing after placing some powder under it the problem resolved. If you have to wear inserts or such the fully removable insole is a great help. Buy and enjoy!

I have gotten so many compliments on these shoes! They do require some break in time, but since I have been wearing them my back and hips almost don't hurt at all. They are very comfortable after about a week. The only problem I have with them is they squeak. But the comfort and the way my back feels help me to deal with the squeak. My foot is a little wide in the toe area and these fit really well. I will definitely order again and Zappos was so fast in getting my order to me.

Lovely design on the floral leather. But I bought these as a comfortable work shoe and the toe looks much wider on the foot that you would think, thus too clober footed looking for a work shoe with slacks. Also the leather around the edges is rather rough and would need socks, which I didn't want to have to wear. Sorry!

They are very comfortable. Unfortunately, I have to return them. I don't like the material, though the print is nice. Thank you Zappos for an excellent service, always.

Review: I'm highly critical of any purchase, and give credit where it's due. Occupation: Nurse Size: I'm an 8 in everything, and this is true to size. My feet aren't too narrow and aren't too wide. Comfort: Tennis shoes don't cut it on my 12 hour days. Even though I'm small and petite, my feet are super sensitive and do not tolerate many shoes well (hence a poor shoe wardrobe), so no shoe is perfect, but the Alegria Paloma does a very nice job. I never wear the same shoe 2 days in a row for my long 12 hour days. I rotate my Z-coil shoes (which are great as well) with the Alegria Paloma. My Z-coils can hurt my heels, but the Paloma can be irritating to my knees (which is why I rotate my shoes). However, I'm finding that the knee pain is less and less as I've broken them in. My heels and feet feel pretty good in these shoes, however. For others less sensitive, this shoe is great, but I will still need to rotate my shoes for comfort. Right now, I'm happy with my purchase! Look: I love the patent leather look and it looks great with my scrubs. I wear just about anything for comfort, and don't usually care about others' thoughts, but I have received lots of compliments. Despite other reviews on unattractiveness, I think the plain and shiny patent leather styles are nice looking and I plan on purchasing another black pair and a brown pair for my day-to-day shoes for fall and winter. -Happy Alegria Customer

Wearing these may be the closest most of us will ever get to being in a Mary Englbreit add. They are just plain happy shoes. I wear them when I want comfort, compliments and a break for my bunion. Yes, I said that. These are wide shoes and for those of us with imperfect feet, they are a great relief from dress shoes, tennis shoes or otherwise boring footwear. Go for it, you deserve to smile at your feet.

Comfortable and cute. A couple problems though. The patent leather started to crack on the sides where the shoe naturally bends and the tops still rub the outside of my ankles even after several weeks of wear. Zappos replaced them immediately of course! They have the best customer service ever. I hope the replacement pair doesn't do the same thing.

With plantar fasciitis, it's impossible for me to find comfortable shoes. These cute shoes are comfortable as long as I don't have a flare-up. They look better with skirts than my other-only shoes I can wear, Sketchers. They did take a bit longer to break in than I wanted, but by wearing them around the house first, they worked well on concrete. I'm off to London with my granddaugher in July, so I'll give them a real test!

The shoe fit perfectly, better with light socks. I have a wide foot and high instep. It is a big shoe but very comfortable to walk in. It may be better for fall/winter. I bought the Paloma and it is very pretty. It is made in China and is mostly or all man made I think. It has velcro buttons.

I am a woman who purchased this shoe to wear for power walks and exercise on the trampoline. So far, it has helped to greatly reduce foot and ankle pain due to supination on walks, but when jumping on the trampoline the arch of my foot still cramps. To be fair, I am not certain if the cramping has anything at all to do with the shoe. The shoe itself is extremely light weight, extremely airy, cushiony and extremely comfortable. I don't see myself using this shoe in the winter due to the airy/mesh, but for summer and spring it's awesome! I love the color (yellow), which is why I ordered it in men's. It wasn't available for women. Zappos CS said there is virtually no difference in the male or female running shoe and helped me find my size. I'm extremely pleased with Zappos service and the shoe. 5 stars and then some for comfort!

Love them however I have narrow feet, and when I adjust the Velcro tight enough to make the shoes feel secure, sometimes the Velcro 'gives up' mid stride. The bed of this foot is amazingly comfortable.

Very pretty, very comfortable. The overall appearance of the shoe is too clunky.

These are very comfortable shoes when you are on your feet all day. The only problem is after two weeks of wearing them, the shoes are making squeaky nosie when you walk. The noise seems come from the cushion they use for the inner sole.

I thought these shoes would be funky and comfy. Alas, they are neither! They were tight around the front and totally fugly in person. Argh! What a waste of money! The only plus -- if you're looking for great arch support, have narrow feet, and don't care about looks, this shoe is for you.

I love these shoes in the midnight garden. Very comfortable. Lots of compliments when I wear them. However, the patent leather in this pattern seems very susceptible to cracking at the stress points. My first two replacement pairs were not manufactured well and there were gaps between the leather and the edge of the sole. The third replacement pair was fine but started cracking at the stress points again after wearing them twice. The shoes are great in terms of comfort but the manufacturer needs to do some more quality and wear testing. I have seen this complaint in other reviews but don't know if it's only the midnight garden pattern or not. As always, Zappos customer service was fabulous in helping me with the exchanges and I did not incur any shipping charges for any of the shoes.

These have wonderfully comfortable insoles with nice arch support, but I'm sorry to say that these are clown shoes.

I ordered the Alegria Paloma in "soft black" and when I opened the box I was disappointed to find that they were black, but the leather has glitter in it, which I could not see in the picture on the website, nor was the "sparkle" in the leather finish described anywhere in the product description. These are going back and I'm going to go over to the mall and buy a pair (for the same price as Zappos) where I can see the actual shoe. Other than that, the size was perfect, the shoe felt very comfortable, and I was pleased with the quick delivery from Zappos.

I had to return these as they were too wide for my feet. They also were not the most attractive shoes!

I had been wanting to try Alegria for a while now. Having beaten plantar fasciitis totally and heel spurs (mostly) wearing Merrell Siren Sports, I wanted to be able to switch out to something more girlie on occasion. The reviews for Alegria are so positive and I really wanted to love them, but... They don't have the level of cushioning I've grown accustomed to and I'm afraid that will aggravate my heels. I did like the very wide toe box, so that was a positive, and I also felt they were true to size; I wear a 9 and these fit well. I gave the arch support an excellent rating, because I think it would be if you needed it, but I found it immediately uncomfortable. Had everything else been okay, I still would have returned the black vintage floral in exchange for another pattern. My generally tolerant husband took one look and said, "Please tell me you are not keeping those". The print is cute but shocking and the combination of flowers and wide toe box makes them appear somewhat clownish. Thanks to Zappos as always for their great selection and fast/free shipping!

Someone mentioned they looked like clown shoes...she was right. I felt like Ronald McDonald.

Not as comfortable as stated per the other reviews. They pinched at my little toes and the back of my foot. And in person/when on, they look like 'special' shoes. Too bad I've already worn them a couple of times.

Cutest shoes ever! However, the width would have worked, but the depth didn't. I have wide feet, and I require a shoe with lots of depth. Alas, this did not. For this reason, I'm giving the width a low rating. Zappos, please get some cute shoes that address this issue. Crocs work, but they are not appropriate in many situations.
