I bought these in both white and black, and would buy them again 1,000000 times. I've worn them everyday since I got them several months ago and they've held up very well. That's also against the use and salt of a new york winter.

These are so narrow and snug. I broke them in, took forever, and they are pretty comfortable to a degree, but it's still just such a narrow and snug shoe, and doesn't look great with any of my looser jeans, its like a skinny jeans or slim trouser shoe. Makes me wish I just got regular 1461's, or sized up. But, somebody will love that Slim vibe. Just not me.

I have been wearing Size 11 (US) Docs since I was 15 years old. I have ordered this pair or a variation thereof at least 5 times over the last 10-15 years. I have never had shoes fit as poorly as these.

I love them but they are too bulky for my office job. I need more elegant oxford type.

I was surprised that these shoes felt so tight. I have 2 other pairs of Docs and the width is much better. I will try one size bigger.

Basic shoe that looks great for office attire. A little bit of time to break in but wore 2 pairs of socks!!

Great shoe to be worn as a dress or just everyday if you really want to. Standard doc where you’ll need to break in.

Looks, they are docs, so not going to be super cozy out of the box. If you know this going in, you will not be surprised or disappointed.

These seem like an upgrade over the Bates Lites that you would wear with a Navy uniform. Order a size up from what you think. I normally wear US size 11 (UK 10), but in this shoe that size was much too small. The next whole size up fits pretty well.

Nicely made shoes just way to clunky and masculine for a woman. Stiff sole which is what i needed but again, not stylish enough.

Great shoe, looks smart and are easy to care for. I took a 6 mile walk the day I got these and the soles were really comfortable. I did have some pain on my left side from the shoe top line cutting into my ankle. It left a little sore that felt like a burn. I think the solution is to add a little riser inside the shoe so my ankle sits a little higher than the top line. This isn't the manufacturer fault but my own foot shape as it reaches my ankle. Awesome product!

I am still breaking these shows in, but I like them a lot. Like new jeans, they are a bit stiff, but are starting to conform to my feet and get more comfortable. I think they are a good value and they seem well made.

I got the pink pair and I adore them! I've worn them a couple of times already and its a fun shoe. The quality is very good. Its not the most comfortable Dr. Martens I've owned. My feet were sore the first I wore them for over 6 hours. I feel its the kind of shoe that will get more comfortable the longer its worn.

Got these 3-tie docs for my husband. They look great and arrived in immaculate never-worn condition. They have all the usual DM quality. Sizing as expected and they fit well. but the leather was just too rigid and uncomfortable. Not soft or flexible at all. Even the tongue felt like sheet metal. If you’re into suffering while breaking your shoes maybe these will be perfect for you ?

I wear these shoes when I want to have a bad day. Vegan “leather” never breaks in so will be equally uncomfortable from the first day until you finally decide to donate these to an unsuspecting victim.

The shoe is too heavy. I am in my 80's and need a stout shoe but one that is lighter.

Information for anyone wondering about half sizes: I usually wear 8.5 womens or 7.5 mens. I had read that if you usually wear a half size, you should go down rather than up for this brand. DON'T BELIEVE IT! These definitely feel more than a half size too small. I almost gave up on even shoving my foot in at all, wearing pretty generic socks. I have three stars for ratings because I had to pick something... really can't comment on comfort since wearing this size is out of the question.

These shoes are stiff and inflexible, and not comfortable to wear. Although the sizing felt reasonable, they felt like the sort of shoe that would never "break in" - and I don't believe in having to break in shoes anyway.

These shoes are not "Made in England". As a long time wearer of the brand, I would caution anyone who buys the shoes made elsewhere. They do not have the same quality, the same feeling of fit and I personally do not care for them. There is nothing wrong with the shoes if you are not adamant about the "Made in England" quality.

I read the reviews that said they were too stiff but I love Docs and I wanted to try for myself. They are too stiff. The kind of stiff that makes it feel like you're going to get a blister on the top of your foot (about where your big toes meets your foot) from just a few steps. I wish I could believe I could break them in but they are so stiff that I don't want to spend the time or money trying. So disappointing because I love the height of the sole, the black sole and stitching and everything else about how they look.

Stiff and uncomfortable

These are very stiff and uncomfortable. I should have read the other reviews before purchasing.

very stiff leather, not sure how it would break in. The toe box was super narrow and the heel was loose, so it was both too small and my heels kept slipping out. Returned. Pretty good looking shoe though, so disappointed.

Didn’t even try them on: the stitching and quality is so sub-par, the back of the heel support felt like razor blades with the poor stitching quality; it’s as if they have gone down brand: no point in attempting to try them, when the finger touch is so sharp on the inside of the heel back
