These shoes are very comfortable and are not as hot as regular leather athletic shoes. I love them!

My husband has a pair of these and he's ready to buy another. He has a lot of problems with his feet and these are about all he can walk in. Style is great, they look good with khakis and blue jeans. He wears them to work with slacks. But there's not much in dress shoes that feel good.

Got these to use with orthotic. Works well as the throat is wide enough to fit both foot and device.

I love these shoes! I have worn them since 2007 when it was 926! I have purchased a new pair every year and keep three pairs around the house (one for mowing, one for regular use/rain, one for during nice days or to look better. Every year the bottom shoe gets bumped!) I have not had shoes like these before! They are amazing! So much so, my wife now buys them and so does my Dad! I prefer a big arch support so I do get a different insole but my wife and my Dad do not. The updated 928 is fantastic and the minor things that I did not like about the 927, like the eyehole for the lace wearing down was fixed by a metal eyehole and some odd wear was fixed from a redesign of how the top of the shoe looks. I love these shoes and I look forward to January to buy a new pair! Do yourself a favor and ignore these other people and buy these shoes!

This purchase was my first experience with Zappos. I am pleased to report that the entire experience has been nothing short of remarkable. The selection offered by the mall store does not begin to compare, I ordered these on a Friday evening and my purchase arrived on the following Monday. Naturally, my selection was personalized to my tastes but I cannot express adequately how well my expectations were exceeded. The fit and feel of these walking shoes are amazing. I have neuropathy in my feet and these shoes have greatly helped in restoring my normal walking stride. It is safe to say that both Zappos and New Balance will be my first choice when I shop for my next pair of shoes.

I've been wearing these shoes for years. They were recommended to me by my podiatrist. They are comfortable and the support my feet well. I never get callouses any more because my shoes are too narrow. I'm hard on shoes and I wear my shoes down on the outer part of the heel. When the outer heel wears down I just order another pair. I have flat feet and I never have any difficulties with these shoes. These shoes hold up very well.

These shoes are a remarkable fusion of good support and even better looks. I replaced the plain brown laces with a pair of brick red ones from another company and uses these shoes for both work and social outings. I live in the mountains of western Massachusetts and daily walks with the dog entail lots of gravel and glacial rocks in the fields. These shoes have unfailing stability and have prevented many a turned ankle. Add a little mink oil and scuffs and scratches disappear instantly. For those of us who need a shoe with maximum stability that doesn't looks like something an orderly wore in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," this shoe is a can't miss. It is most attractive and adaptive.

This shoe is the gold standard by which all orthotic shoes are measured. It provides a very stable platform and the toe box is deep enough to accommodate my inserts and AFO brace. The service provided by the staff at Zappos is excellent. The prices are competitive and I usually receive the order within one week.

Zappos service is second to none. Simply outstanding. I've been a New Balance wearer for some 30 years and can't understand why some reviewers have anything but positive comments about the 928. Some reviewers lamented the 928's weren't like previous styles, or that the construction wasn't what it should be. I couldn't be happier, and I put the 928's through their paces on a daily basis. If you're searching for supreme comfort, stability, support and solid, simple construction, you can't go wrong with the NB 928's.

New Balance 928. This is Husband's third pair. He likes the wide & deep; toe-box and finds shoe supportive and not squishy. Another good item from NB...and typical great service from Zappos. Love you guys.

These shoes are super comfortable and look great. As a matter of fact, I have to wear a brace on my right foot and no other shoe would work and these do! I would also like to mention that every item I have purchased from Zappos was delivered extremely fast, always correctly and if I purchased wrong item, their return policy is fantastic. You can't go wrong with good products and great service!

What a great shoe! I suffer from MPJ arthritis of the great toe, and this shoe has eliminated all pain that I have had when walking. The slight rocker around the MPJ along with the stiffer bottom keeps the pain away. With these shoes I will keep trying to avoid surgery. If only I could find something to wear when I surf! I plan to buy a second pair.

This shoe is so perfect for my husband that we ordered a second pair. They are light weight yet provide all the support my husband needs for his back issues. We couldn't ask for more, and they wash up nicely in the washing machine. What more could be asked for!

Bought these for the hubs. He has a wide foot. Very comfy! He bought his normal size and while width was fine, the shoe was short. He normally wears a 12, had to return the 12s and the 13s fit perfectly.

These shoes may not garner looks from the peeps but as far as comfort, off the chain. Hook 'em up.

This is the first pair of New Balance shoes that I have owned for several years. They are everything that they are advertised to be. Comfortable and stylish.

These are so comfortable and supportive, I wear them more often than my custom shoes. Enough room for my orthotics.

This is by far the best walking shoe that I have purchased from New Balance. They provide a stable feel and promote a natural stride while wearing them.

I doubted this shoe when I first got it to replace the 927 because this one seemed lighter. Not to worry; this shoe has been everthing the 927 was and more. Sole seems to last longer. This is the 12 hour shift shoe for the hard-working heavy guy!

I love these shoes. Took them out of the box, put them and they fit perfectly. I walk my dog twice a day, about 60 miles a month and they are the only shoes that I wear!

I am on my feet all day and have found these shoes to be the most comfortable I have ever worn. Great support all day long. Plus it is hard to find wide width shoes at a shoe store with Zappos no problems.

Fits perfectly, looks so good that it can pass for a regular shoe instead of a sneaker. The leather is more breathable than non-leather shoes, and keeps its good looks. Highly recommended!
