I ordered these in a large because I wear a size 10.5-11 shoe. They were huge but I decided to try a pair and see if they shrunk in the wash. They didn't. I contacted customer service and they sent me the smaller size and asked me to donate the larger socks to a favorite charity. How cool is that! I love the socks. They are lighter than I expected but very warm.

I'd been shying away from these for a while because my experience with wool socks is that they're itchy and uncomfortable. Not so with these! They are soft and well padded. I also find that for someone who has a hard time staying warm, they are wonderful at that for my feet! Buy 2 sets so you have enough to last all week!

I love these socks! My go to when I will be outside for long periods of time. My feet get really cold when I am outside in the cold and snow. I wear a thin pair of athletic socks with these over them and with my sorel boots my feet stay warm for hours!

Smartwool socks are the best I've ever worn. These medium weight crew socks are warm and comfortable. I wear steel toe boots and work outside all night in the Midwest. I've always struggled to keep my feet warm. Finally, in these socks, my feet are warm but not sweaty. Seriously, they feel like an 8 hour long foot hug.

I'm good with my purchase. The socks are comfortable except I'd like to mention they are tight around the calves and I'm a pretty slender person so I fold them down at my ankle. Yes they do appear to shrink when you run them through the washer/dryer but they easily stretch to conform to your foot when you put them on. Very comfortable in the toes, and I like the arch hug. I'm VERY happy that they are made in the USA!!!!! I no longer trust the junk from China. These are the only socks I own that don't feel damp when my feet sweat after a 12 hour shift at work. They dry so quickly.

These will be warm and comfy. But, they’re not the best of Smartwool. I was hoping these had arch support, or a tighter arch like other Smartwool hiking socks, but no. So these are my expensive lounging socks, now.
