Great review. The sizing is a bit tricky. I typically wear an 8.5 and go down to an 8 for a nice dress shoe (US sizes). I would probably be a 7.5 in this shoe. But they don't make it that small so I'm just going to roll with it. Great look for the shoe. Not the world's most comfortable shoe, but it's nice. I have the same shoe in a reddish tan so obviously I'd buy it again.

I love what this shoe looks and feels like. One problem--the rubber soles squeak really loud on hard, indoor surfaces. I sound ridiculous walking through the office. It's like that episode of Cheers when Cliff brings everyone shoes and they all squeak. Anyone else have this problem? Anything you can do about it?

I hesitated a bit because of the price. I typically bought Boss shoes but their quality has been declining over the past few years. These are hands down the best shoes that I ever owned. After a four day break in phase they have been amazingly comfortable. There are no signs of wear and tear after two months. I like shoes to be slim and long but not to an extreme like some high fashion brands. This is the perfect compromise. I am a big believer in leather soles but this rubber sole is absolutely fashionable and feels so smooth walking. I will have to wait a year to make a solid assessment on durability and value for the breathtaking price.

I wore these to a superstar wedding at this crazy chateau, where we had free reign to explore everything. I trudged all over the place, danced for hours, walked through a horse stable, ran around and created general mayhem. It was fun and these shoes lasted through every minute of it. When I finally went to bed the next day, the best part of me at that moment were the shoes on my feet. I could not believe they stayed tied all day, night, and morning. Slamming shoes to go with a slamming wedding. They will certainly dress you up for any occasion that requires a suit. The size felt right but they are long in the toe.

These are fantastic shoes! I replaced my J&M Meltons which hurt my feet with these and am very glad for the change. The toe box appears a bit long when you first put them on but looks proportionate with slim-fit dress trousers. The simple design compliments a suit and looks good with plain slacks for daily work. I wasn't sure about the rubber sole but they were comfortable from the first outing and the sole continues to wear well. I recommend these without reservation particularly give the modest price.

Great shoes, but I took the Zappos advice and ordered half a size too small - and they are smaller still. I will return them and get my regular size.

I bought these shoes awhile ago but didn't get a chance to wear them immediately due to travel. When I first wore them, the right shoe sounded like air was rushing in and out when I walked on any hard surface. I wore them again to see if they needed 'breaking in', but the problem persisted. I called Zappos (full transparency, the return period had long passed) and the rep suggested wearing them some more or taking them to a shoe repair shop. After two more tries wearing the shoes, I took them to a very reputable repair shop in LA. He wouldn't touch them because they have rubber soles instead of leather. He said that shoes like this occasionally have flaws when they're manufactured and there's nothing that can be done. So, I'm out a lot of money for a beautiful, comfortable, but completely unusable pair of shoes. My recommendation: if you're going to spend this much money, make sure you're getting leather-soled shoes. And if they make noise, don't try to break them in. Send them back immediately for a replacement.
