The Hoka's are as good as advertised. If you want a very comfortable and cushioned shoe, then these are the shoes for you. They do take some getting used to at first but I don't have knee or ankle pain anymore. The shoes do not come in wide but I did get a half size larger and they have been fine. I am a heavier runner and have been very satisfied. As for Zappos, nothing more than excellent can be said, what a great company.

This is a great off-road shoe with the versatility to run over connecting roads. They feature a most progressive design and are made from the most interesting and effective materials I've ever seen in a running shoe. They are built for optimal ground reaction and heel-toe transition over the long haul resulting a gliding smoothness over any surface. Too many conventional running shoes densify with high mileage, increasing the pounding on the body. Not these "bad boys!" I get in a good mood whenever I lace up and take them out on the trails around my home in Boulder, Colorado. I find them to be simultaneously firm, able to soften impact and torque from rocks or roots as well as super-resilient with raw speed and/or downhill running over any distance. I love how the Hoka line of products flies in the face of what I see as the alarmist (even misleading), minimalist trend we are currently experiencing in the mainstream running culture. The innovation of these shoes can open up a whole new world of running possibilities for people, more so than any time since the 50's when iconic U of Oregon coach Bill Bowerman invented the waffle sole and I choose my words carefully!

I've been running in Hokas for the last two years now. I'm never going back! Let the rest of the world go after the minimalist craze. Stinson Evos are dream shoes. Amazing cushioning and great support. The outsole on the Stinson Evo is a definite upgrade from the Bondi B.

I tried 'barefoot' shoes a few years back and got foot/ankle injuries. Had to quit running for a while, and then with normal running shoes still has some issues. I've been running in these for about a month and no more tendinitis. I'm sold. Perhaps I'll be able to run into old age.

Expensive, yes, but LISTEN—these French running shoes are truly ULTRA comfortable for those with fussy feet, or for runners with much spirit. They are more cushion-eee and more pillow-like than any other shoe I have EVER tried on in 30+ years of shoe shopping. The technology talked about in the construction of these French shoes is VERY true—this is like walking (or running) on cushion-ee air pillows. And they are so LIGHTWEIGHT! Lightest shoes I have ever purchased in my size, 13-14! Feel like next to nothing on your feet, and it's amazing since they have SO much cushion and comfort!
I am 50, 200 lbs, and my feet have gotten so fussy—2E width New Balance solid leather walking shoes kill my feet after only a few hours. I can really only wear lightweight running shoes, and these Hokas are the BEST. MAX cushioning, light, light, light weight. If you have foot problems and find even some "comfort" shoes too much after a few hours, these new technology French shoes made for runners can be a God-send!
Expensive, I know! But if you have looked and looked for comfortable shoes for your fussy feet, these may be it. I discovered them at a local and trendy running shop before buying (in a 1/2 larger size) from Zappos.com. The local shop says they are the most effective for off-concrete runners and on the decline (downhill) in particular. I can believe it as they shoes are so plush and cushioned and walking on air-like, they would make running down a rocky hill a soft and cushion-eee affair on a hot afternoon!
They are European sized, and run a little narrow (particularly since Asics and New Balance and even Nike are now making wider—EE and EEE and even EEEE—widths). The length is right on the money, but if you have wider feet, go up a 1/2 to a full size. Running shoes should be a tad larger anyway.
Highly recommend these incredibly comfortable shoes!

The Hoka One One is the next step in running shoe evolution. Light and fast. I feel silly for ever running trail ultras without them. Sorry other shoe companys- our relationship has ended, I found something better.

Fantastic! I was hesitant at first due to the price tag and the large heel platform. However, I have been amazed at just how fantastic they look feel and ride. The material is fantastic, excellent construction, truly worth the 170 price tag. I'm a 6'1", 210 LBS Sgt in the Marine corps. I spend all day on my feet in combat boots running around. After years of abuse my legs just can't take the pounding (I'm only thirty but I've seen a lot). Over the last year I've cut back from 20-30 miles a week down to 10-15 due to constant leg and muscle pain. I can keep up my miles and my constant soreness has gone away. Size note - I usually wear a 10-10.5 and I fit perfect in a 10.5 Get ready to fly!

The Stinson Evo fit well. I like the modern laces...took a 12.5 vs 11.5-12 usually. Gave a very soft run which should help me stay injury free. Had a hip problem that Z coils solved. But they were uncomfortable and not good for trail running.

I've been searching for a nice looking comfortable athletic shoe with good lateral support and this is not it! I wear orthotics which fit perfectly in this shoe but they may have raised me up enough in the footbed to completely miss any support from the lateral side plastic support. Only the shoe fabric was supporting my lateral movement. Looking down at my feet the lateral sole was obscured but it was very visually pronounced on the medial aspect. My feet fell off the sides of this shoe and I don't wear a wide width.
