Love these! We have four dogs and they all wear these jackets. Our youngest is a bit of a wild thing and he managed to go into some thick brush on a steep hillside and pulled his jacket off where we couldn't retrieve it. So we bought this one to replace it. It's even better than the old ones we have. Fits terrific, and the new straps are protected by a flap, so they're less likely to get hung up in brush. Best dog coat ever! Ruffwear is the only brand of backpack or jacket I'll buy. They're the best of the best.

No other brands, but anything Ruffwear is the best.

I bought this origianlly just in case the leg part of the Ruffwear Climate Changer Fleece didnt fit my dog well. Well, now I want to keep both the fleece and this jacket. This would be a great jacket for dreary wet weather, and not having legs on this jacket makes it a good fit for winter runs. I tried it at the dog park and there was no issue with him running and playing. Previously, in cold weather he would not run around and play, so this helped him feel more comfortable in 28 degree weather. The dirt and mud wiped off really easily off. This jacket worked really well at keeping my dog warm.

This is our second Ruffwear K-9 overcoat - replacing a different type of coat for our second dog. This coat is easier to put on than coats with Velcro because it does not get caught in their fur, and once adjusted with the straps and buckles, keeps the right fit for the dog. The best feature is the chest cover because it keeps the dog more protected (and cleaner) in wet conditions.

This overcoat fits my well. The adjustable straps on either side of the chest allows for a snug fit. The material is a bit stiff and the back side doesn't fit as snug but my dog has a skinny rear. I'll probably make some elastic leg straps to resolve the problem. The fleece lining is good quality. The safety piping is a nice feature and glows really well when direct light hits it. This is a good quality product and I would recommend it to others.

Ruffwear is the ONLY brand of dog attire I will buy due to their incredible fit, durability, and attention to detail. They are so finely made, one would think they were made for humans! Bought this coat for my very short haired 15lb terrier cross- fits him perfectly. Cannot say enough praise for this company. Wish they made lighter-weight wear for indoor use. Also bought the Ruffwear Quinzee, Summit Trex shoes(good barrier if they're mouthing an injured foot as well as for weather protection) and beacon light- all have the quality I've come to expect from Ruffwear. Thank you Zappos for carrying this brand!

This is by far my favorite dog coat. The style is easy to put on. It fits well on my ridgeback-mix. It's decent for dogs who need a little help keeping their core warmer. Easy to wash. Long lasting.

This jacket is perfect for wet, chilly weather. It is rain-repellant and comfortably warm, and looks quite fetching (pun intended) on my Jack Russell mix, who, at 33 pounds, wears a small. It's easy to get on and off and doesn't seem to attract or collect dirt or hair. A useful, good-looking, and apparently well-made product.

We bought this overcoat for our dalmatian for our daily walks in the rain. He loves it, and now gets excited to put it on because he knows we are going for a walk. I like the way it is designed to cover his chest and back with a snug fit. There are two adjustable straps with elastic that help with the fit. The buckles are neatly enclosed in two side panels that prevent the buckles from rubbing his fur. The neckline is low enough not to interfere with his choke chain and collar. The material is very high tech and repels the rain. Follow the sizing instructions. I measured Spot's chest. He was 1/2 inch from the maximum of the large. I ordered the XL thinking it would fit better. It was way too big. So I re-ordered the size they recommended based on his chest measurement and it fits perfectly. I am very pleased with the quality and design of this product. It also appears to be very durable. I would highly recommend.

I love this coat! I don't think my dog is the kind that loves to wear clothing but he tolerates it okay and I feel so much better taking him out in the cold when he has this on. It's a very nice green color, nice reflective quality for walks on those short winter days. The one downside might be that the hook for the light on the back is a tad big and I have not found a light that fits. This isn't a deal breaker as I simply hooked the light onto the D-ring on his harness and we are all set! Ruffwear makes excellent dog gear and Zappos has excellent customer service. What more would you ask for?

I love this coat. My hound mix is going through his first winter and needed something extra for his short coat. This fits well, snaps and holds and covers his belly enough to offer protection and allow him to pee without hitting it. Highly recommended

This is so far the better company to buy a jacket for your four legged friend from. They are super rugged and have a clean look to them and have a great vision for a company to boot. They are on the other hand made about three inches too short on the back side. By this I mean, the cut near the rear quarters, is short. This is a issue with all dog jackets, I've noticed. If you are looking to not deal with a custom made jacket, buy this one. We live in Seattle and this jacket deals with the mist and rain nicely and in regards to the cold, I'd would do this with the one piece, zip on soft shell they make. This will make the system complete and your friend won't ever have to try to speak and say that they're cold or wet...other than maybe bug you to go on a longer walk or play more ball. So by extensive research, don't hesitate, purchase this one. Their down jacket is a nice piece as well and has a longer rear side to it but overall, the layering system would be the best way to go. Meaning, the soft shell zip on and this clip on. Enjoy.

This is the better brand for fit and function.

My 96 lb puppy recently decided she no longer wanted to walk in the rain. Since this was not an option I researched water-repellent coats that would fit her unusual size. This Ruffwear was the one option I could find that would fit her length. It does the job. The jacket is a nice color, fairly lightweight though not for warm weather with the fleece lining. It's generously 'relaxed' in fit...almost too much so since I went up a size bigger than recommended by Ruffwear to accommodate her length. My only disappointment is that the reflective piping is not reflective...it's decorative. So I throw a little light on my pup's collar to make her visible. All in all it's a fine jacket and my dog has no issue wearing it. Pricey, but I've come to expect that for decent quality pet gear.

Bad choice for a miniature schnauzer of 24 lbs. He needs a harness to walk, and there is no cut-out on the back to hook on. It is wellmade and looks warm and stylish It's too long but doesn't get snug enough. wl return this and shop some more.
