We love these shoes and have been buying them for four years. Super comfy with or without socks, so can be dressed up (California dressed up, anyway), or worn with jeans or cut-offs. My only complaint is that since they are cloth, they get very dirty very fast, if you have an active child who climbs trees, plays in the dirt, etc. Do avoid the lighter colors. (They can be washed with soap and water, but light colors will never look very good again once they have gotten dirty - navy and denim are my go to colors and we've had those in four or five sizes now.) They have held up fantastic where all of our sneakers have fallen apart - now I only buy these for school, in a few colors, and work as well as sneakers for athletics, at least in elementary. My second daughter is now enjoying the hand-me-downs they have held up so well. Also try the other kind with (subtle) sparkle thread - they are just as comfy but repel dirt much better than the purely cloth ones. Those also come in good and versatile colors (we have navy and hot pink in the sparkly ones), and they aren't obnoxiously sparkly.

Excellent brand of kids shoes, good quality. You can tell are made in Spain. They fit well and wash well. My daughter loves them. In addition they are cute too. They run a little large. I bought another pair already.

I love these shoes for my 22 month old daughter. They are comfortable, machine washable and even smell nice! I took off one star because the insoles became very dirty very quickly. Although the company was so incredible quick to respond to my email about this matter and are sending me a free replacement.

Comfortable sneaker but insoles absorb odor! My daughter's feet STINK after wearing these sneakers and the berry scent just makes it worse. She wore these without socks and even after multiple washings, they continue to smell. She wears Vans and Converse without socks and her feet do not smell in any of those brands, just these and Toms.

These shoes are on the less expensive size compared to similar shoes that is why I decided to try them. They are pretty plain but was looking for something that was one color rather than multi colored. They did seem lesser quality than some other shoes I've bought such as See Kai Run, however, they are less money. The portion inside the shoes on the bottom came detached after only about 3 wears. It's a simple fix just to re-glue it in. Other than that they are fine.

Bought these for my three (now four) year old. She loves them. As other reviews mention, they have a berry smell, which my daughter LOVED. She made all her friends smell her shoes and they all wanted a pair. They comfortable and she was able to put them on and off herself which was a huge plus. She has other shoes but always wants to wear these. They held up a long time, maybe 9 months? But as she wore them all the time and they are only made of canvas after all, and we got a puppy who may have had something to do with them being ruined. So, I am more than happy to buy another pair. I highly recommend these. Nice alternative to keds or vans. And they are very reasonably priced. I did notice the insoles easily fell out, but it never bothered my daughter to just slip them back in, and I'm assuming kids with special orthodics could easily put their inserts instead of the shoes insoles.

I ordered a size down because other reviewers said these shoes run big; but we found that the shoes are true to size for us. My daughter LOVES them :)

My daughter loves these shoes. We have been buying them for years. They hold up well. Seem about 1/2 size larger than other brands.

We love these shoes! This is the second round of Cientas I've purchased and I plan to keep getting these until they stop making my daughter's size. The soles are very flexible, the shoes aren't too wide, and they look good with and without socks. With all the great colors available, you will definitely want to get more than one color (we have pink and blue for the current size).

These shoes are so cute and sized just right, not too big or too small. The only thing is that the pink shows dirt easily, so be prepared to have to live with some stains if you have an active little one.

I love these shoes but they ended up being two sizes too big. I was so disappointed because I wanted her to start wearing them. I am going to have to buy two different smaller sizes to figure out which fits best. Great color and great quality.

These are not so great. A dud.

I love this style of Cienta shoe. This is our second pair. But, I have to say this color is terrible. On my computer, fuchsia looked to be a bright Peony pink. In real life, these things are basically like neon pepto bismol. The sticker imposed in English over the box says "fuchsia" however, so presumably we got the right color and not the neon. I can't figure out what the box itself says. (On my computer, the neon color btw, has a coral cast and looks reasonably pleasant, but I didn't want to risk it.) Maybe I was confusing this with a magenta or something in my mind.... In any event, I hate them and would have returned if my daughter had not already started wearing. (She is 3 and of course likes them.) If I wanted a color this garish I could have gotten much cheaper shoes at a big box discount store. Another negative in my book is that the shoes smell like strawberries. We work pretty hard in my house to avoid scented things for kids and even for adults when we are around the kids, so as to avoid phthalate contamination. We have given up all perfume and scented shower gels and antiperspirants, so I was not psyched to see that something touching my daughter's skin has some sort of fake chemical scent in it. I am really hoping this will wash out. We got the navy last time and they were great--great color, washed well, unscented.

My daughter really liked these shoes and got a kick out of the smell. However, after a very short time of wear, the shoes developed a big hole in the toe area. The white rubber is now detaching from the canvas. Does not last and is very expensive for the quality (which is poor).
