This top hides imperfections. I'm 5'6" with a long torso & B cup. I'm fairly slender, but have a slight tummy. I've had trouble with other tankinis being too short and exposing the unflattering section right above my bikini or board shorts--sort of defeating the whole purpose, in my opinion. This top is long enough. It also has very high arm holes and the straps are very widely spaced in front. This might be a problem for a serious swimmer, but is perfect if you want to hide a little armpit fat or boob spillage. The bust fits perfectly--it's modest, but not unflattering and is snug enough around my torso to keep things perky. The material is a little rough--not shiny. I'll wear this with a pair of 3-inch board shorts and will feel confident and comfortable at the pool and river this summer.

I am so happy with this tankini! I am heading toward 40 and my girls have sunk a bit, making it really challenging to find a style that actually fits and is flattering. So many styles seem to only work for younger women and teenagers. This is adorable and the fit is perfect. I ordered a size 10. I am 5'7", 150 pounds, and wear a 38 B/C (depending on the brand).

I would have loved this tankini, but it wasn't designed for 34DD. I ordered the size 12 thinking it would be the best bet, but alas, would have only fit if I was a cup (or even two) smaller. Please, TYR, consider the ladies that need DD or bigger - there are a lot of us out there!

I bought this for a friend who is 50ish, 5'7, 155 lbs, 36B or C bust, and 30 waist. She does not have any muscle at all and wanted to hide her fat so this was the perfect top. We bought a Medium and it is just right, not too tight on the belly. We both thought it was great.

Overall: I am really enjoying this tankini. I have been so self conscious about my body that I haven't worn a swimsuit in over 8 years. This swimsuit is very flattering and comfortable and comes at a decent price. Quality: I like the durable, adjustable straps. There is no underwire but the seam and swimsuit design overall offers a lot of support -- especially the thicker straps. It has SPF protection and doesn't rub or "bite" anywhere. Some swimsuit tops itch or pinch and this one feels very comfortable and soft. It's not too thick of a material but it definitely feels sturdier than a lot of other swimsuits. Comfort: Very comfortable. It doesn't hug the body in unflattering places, allows for movement, and you can swim in it without worrying about it sliding down in the wrong places. It's rather soft. Style/Looks: one thing to take note of is that the bottom flares out more than shown in the image above. This is ideal if you have a petite body like me, and I was surprisingly pleased for what it did for my petite frame but I do not suggest this tankini for anyone tall. Also, the purple in the photo is not the same as the actual bathing suit. The image shown is more magenta/has a pink undertone and the suit is vibrant but more of a true purple in person. I like the twist around the chest. It's simple but adds a touch of style-otherwise it would be very boring and simple. The only thing I'd really like to see is more colors and maybe some patterns? I am very satisfied with the purple one that I purchased but I would have liked to see coral or teal and maybe some fun patterns but I really have no complaints. The only complaint I could see anyone having is someone with a "long and lean" frame purchasing this thinking it will look like the image only to find that the bottom skirts out more than one would think. It also seems that the sizes run a little small. I went a size above what I typically am and found that it fits like other brands of suits I've tried in sizes smaller than this one. I'm very surprised that after trying on dozens of bathing suits and hating them all, I'd find one I love online without being able to try it on first. I would also like to thank Zappos for their incredibly quick shipping and excellent customer service. I would recommend this suit and am very happy with my purchase.

I love this tankini! I'm 5'9, 170 lbs, have a large C cup and a long torso. I ordered a size 14. It gives amazing support and fits perfectly. My 10 year old daughter (who has an opinion about everything) told me that I've never looked better in a swimming suit! I highly recommend this tankini!

This top has good coverage and not super-tight but flattering. I had the Tommy Bahama tops until now and found that it was too much of a boob scene for me and even though I'm not a large person - the tops always seemed sort of lumpy yet tight. I'm not interested in showing lots of cleavage when at the pool with my kids. This top looks great - has nice lines without all the trying-to-catch-eyes drama. I've received tons of compliments. It's a classic and a keeper.

I like the bust of this suit. There was nice support and coverage. However, the bottom is a-line skirt-ish and flared out unattractively and is also too short. I am 5'9" 130 lbs and ordered a 6. This definitely is not going to work for me.

The approach of menopause made my usual bikini impossible but this was a good alternative. I found the top to be supportive (32dd), long enough for coverage and it flared the slightest bit which was perfect for my mid-life belly. It paired nicely with bottoms from another suit I already had. I recommend it.

This swimming suit is great. It fit great. I am 5'2 and weigh 185 and am large chested this swimming suit held my chest in well. It doesn't stretch when it get wet which is really nice.

The best swimsuit I've found in a long time! Had to look really hard to find this well made, excellent fitting, comfortable suit. They don't squeeze me like those "magical, miraculous" brands do. Ooo, those made me look like a stuffed sausage! Style-wise this top was not too revealing but not too "granny." I normally wear a size 16 but since swimsuits usually run small I ordered both a 16 & 18 just in case. The 16 fit fine so I needn't have bothered. But I am keeping both. (Sometimes we women feel fatter than other times.) The suits are so well made that I can just adjust the straps and either one looks great. The 16 highlights my cleavage while the 18 covers me all the way up. Also, the 18 is a bit longer than the 16. With such reasonable prices, why not keep them both? One pair of Tyr bottoms and both Tyr tops are still less than those other suits out there! My only criticism is that the color of the suit I received was definitely a grape colored purple, not a reddish color as shown here. Ah well, it actually looks better.

I am not a spring chicken any more but still have a slim build. Wanted a two piece that fits like a one piece. This was exactly what I wanted. It fits just like the photo. Bought a second one in black.

I love this suit and have it in black. I just ordered the navy top since I got paint on my black top last year. I also have the black high cut bottoms from my original purchase and plan to use the blue top with the black bottom. I like this suit, the fit is really comfortable, the waist of the top flairs a bit and does not cling to the belly which is nice and flattering over all. The straps can be tightened enough to not slip at all, even if I'm doing laps. It is a true classic, indeed! Sadly neither Zappos or TYR carry the same high cut bottoms I have, since I do not think the swim skirt accentuates the hips/legs kindly... but maybe you can figure something out or they will introduce new ones in 2013.

I wear a size 10 but this was a bit snug. i wanted to reorder, but navy 12 is out of stock. it's comfortable and fits well.

Love this item, fits well, though I do wear a bra underneath it as my DD figure seemed to want a bit more support. I like the way the body doesn't cling, but flatters. Accompanying Tyr swim skort is great. A bit short, but flattering and comfortable, despite my being a full figured mama!

This tankini is very high quality, but unfortunately it just looks a bit matronly on. I think it would look great on a bustier woman (I am a 34b).

Love the neckline of this tankini. Nice coverage and close fit. The bra could be a tiny bit bigger. I'm a 34C and bought a size 8. Comfortable and soft material but not too thin. Would recommend this suit for the aging woman.

Super comfy, stylish, and classy!

This top was perfect for water sports. Used it when I went snorkeling. The adjustable straps also help me make sure they didn't slip down while swimming. Overall great product.

Fits comfortably, sits well, stays in place even in the most rough surf. Size is on the small side, but I order a size larger so it won't be too constricting or rub my sunburn. Very pleased with the structure and support. Length is perfect, could be worn as a top on vacation.

Very comfortable and nicely fitting tankini top. Length is just right and bra area is not too bulky. Love the black, I bought it to go with blue bottoms.

Love this suit! I wanted a suit that would be appropriate to be around my teenage boys and their friends, as well as my friends on a boat. The top is very attractive, without exposing too much. It stays in place, and the adjustable back straps make it easy to get the right fit. Works great for the beach, pool, boating, or even something more active like paddle boarding. This was my first experience with TYR, and I love it.
