I purchased this for the office. It works very well and is easy to keep clean and clean looking. It boils the water very quickly. I would buy one for home if I had the room. Great product!

After 8 years of daily use, my first (red) Bodum kettle had to be replaced. The replacement rocks! It looks good enough to leave out on the counter or take to the table for service.

Our first Ibis (2003) boke in less than two years because of a design weakness (electric contact in handle.) Bodum USA replaced that under warranty with the newer design (electric contact in center of bottom). We've been using that one daily at a rate of 3-4 fillups/day. We bought a Bistro for our home office and for traveling and have given dozens away as wedding and other types of gifts. We no longer use a water kettle on the stove. And the safety of the auto shut-off switch makes it worry free. We love all their water kettles.

Looks good, works well, it's changed my life. It now takes me half the time in the morning to make my kids school lunches, cook pasta faster, boil rice faster. Looks great in my kitchen as well.

This is the 2nd Bodum product I've bought on Zappos (the other is a coffee grinder). Love it! I wanted to switch to an electric kettle after using one at work for a while. I wanted a good size kettle for when I need to make iced tea, fill hot water bottles, get a head start on pasta water, etc. Boiling water is a snap! Plus it auto turns off when done. I also like the oval design because it fits easily into a slim spot. And the color is fun too!

I've been using a kettle at work and decided to get one for home when my Le Creuset started getting gross. I love the auto shut off...very important feature. The large size kettle is nice for boiling water for food or making iced tea. I also like the slim profile so it'll be easier to store. The color is great and goes with our Bodum coffee grinder. I've been happy with their kitchen products.

I use this to heat water in an unheated building. So far it has worked really well, heating water quickly. My only problems with it, and they are very slight, are the slight plastic smell and the design of the handle - it is difficult to hold the pot with one hand when filling it or when it is filled due to the weight. But again, very insignificant issues for me. I am very happy with this item.

I have a Bodum Water Kettle 57 oz. since 1999. It remains in perfect condition and is used daily. I bought this kettle for my second home because I hate being without one. The newer version has a few different features but I feel I will be able to become comfortable with.

I am now returning my second Bodum Ibis Cordless kettle. The first one started leaking after about a month. The second one doesn't work at all.
