I purchased these to hopefully relieve pain from Plantar Fasciitis, not relieved by exercises, rest or Physical Therapy. While comfortable, they did not have any effect on the Plantar Fascia pain. If you want a nice insole, they are fine but not clinically significant in pain relief.

These inserts were way too long for the 8 1/2 shoe, would need to cut them to make the fit. Will try the next size down.

I wear a 6 extra wide shoe and ordered the small. I thought since it was unisex and made to fit men they would be wide. Comparing them with a insert I was currently using, the insert was too long. The arch was slightly too close to the toe. They were also just a little narrow. I didn't order the next smaller size due to the lack of width. I returned them without wearing them so I can't fairly review on comfort or arch support.

You should definitely remember that these WILL NOT FIT in most shoes. They are only for using in shoes that have a removable foot bed. Of course, that does not describe a single pair of my shoes. Still, I managed to get these into a couple of pair of sneakers. I thought at first that it felt good and then ended up in more pain that I started with. It could be due to using them in improper shoes or it could be that I am just not the right person for this type of orthotic.

They don't give the same support as the shoes. I wanted to be able to put them in other walkers I have to feel that great support Orthaheel has.

I’m a physical therapist and on a mission to find over-the-counter orthotics I can recommend to my patients. They need to work for most people/activities, which means moderate arch support, moderate motion control, and some cushion for comfort. I don't recommend these. The arch support on these doesn’t match the foot; it’s too wide and cuts into the middle part of the foot. Instead I will be recommending the Vionic Orthaheel RELIEF orthotics.

I ordered a few insoles to find the best fit for my boots as I need support. This is the only one that can fit into my boots without being trimmed and I felt good after trying it at home. I was so happy. I felt good walking outside with it. But the very next day, the bottom of my feet hurt so much. It took about 4 days for the pain to be gone. I don't know why. Had to return it. Now I am back on mission again to find another good pair of insole.
