So far I've worn it once on errands, and I've never had the same issue with others about walking funny and possibly twisting your ankle. Admittedly I have another pair of Tsubo (they were Mary-Janes) and that sprained my ankle one time so I had to walk carefully in those. These sandals though, fit great. I am not a sandals person -- I am a bit of a germophobe with my feet and don't really like traditional open-toed shoes; I like these because the platform raises the toe part from the ground (I'm weird, I know). A little loose on the fit at the top part, but my foot tends to be on the leaner side. The soles don't have that much cushioning, so you may want to note that if you typically like soft soles. For this style, I don't really mind. It fits comfortably on my foot, I didn't need to break it in, and I am able to walk normally without falling over -- didn't feel weird at all.

I bought these shoes last season and I still love them. I have heel spurs and I can wear these (I wonder if the height take the pressure off my heels)...we had one nice day in upstate NY last week and I dug these out! I have them in two colors and love them both. Very comfortable. I used to wear heels and have had to give most of them up for my feet or back but these I can wear...I wear them a lot! You won't regret it - buy them!

Bought these shoes to take on vacation and they were super comfortable right out of the box! I wore them walking around all night on the first wear with zero problems. Very comfortable and the leather is soft and supple. The sizing was accurate as I always wear the same size and these fit perfectly.

Nice soft leather, comfortable footbed, super neutral color, lots to like about this sandal! It also has a great contemporary look without being too high or too extreme. Hopefully will get a lot of wear from this shoe as it looks great.

Very well made and the exact color I am looking for, but my feet with very high arches, would not slide in properly. I may try a size larger.

I love these shoes; they're comfortable and well-made, which makes them worth the price (a bit more than I'd planned to spend). They're also eye-catching, with style that's a little different than everything else out there.

I absolutely love these shoes but they are not quite wide enough for me, I have wide feet and was hoping that these would work for me but unfortunately they did not, if they were cheaper I might risk keeping them in the hopes that they would stretch because they are so soft to walk in just a little too tight.

These are absolutely amazing! These beauties were crazy comfortable from the moment I slid my fabulous feet into them. So much so, that I went back and purchased the putty color. They are super well made, a great design (wearable art so-to-speak), they provide solid support and shock absorption. I had never owned a pair of Tsubos but I will be back for more - without a doubt! These shoes are very comfortable. They can be worn all day. The width is perfect for anyone with wide feet, if not size down half a size. I have all the colors except black.

They are comfortable and cute! I got an eight, true to size. I love the color, they go with anything.

Love my shoes! I was a little hesitant about these shoes at first, but that hesitation changed the first time I wore them They are very comfortable and feel light on your feet. When I saw them in person, I thought they would be heavy and clunky, but that was not the case. They feel true to size -- not too narrow and not too wide. I know they will stretch some, but even with that stretch they will still be a good fit.

This sandals are comfortable and the incline or heel is not too high. I am a tall person and have never like heels. This gives the illusion of a heel while really being comfortable. They are kind of expensive and I haven't gotten the chance to really wear them a lot because I purchased them preseason but I've got a lot of positive feedback on the look. Looking forward to trying them out this Spring and Summer.

I ignored a previous Zappo review about this shoe where someone said she nearly twisted her ankle in them, and purchased a similar awesome looking Tsubo, platform sandal. I twisted my ankle and fell to the ground while wearing the Tsubos that I bought. Overpriced shoes and dangerously flawed shoe technology in my opinion!

This is my first experience with this brand. Although comfortable, my foot was in every inch of the shoe and felt like I was going to walk off the back. I would consider a 1/2 size up. The natural color is lovely in person.

These are beautiful but they run small, I returned them in exchange for a half size larger.

I really liked the way this shoe looked; however, my heel kept going off to the side and would stay in the middle of the shoe. Returning.

This is absolutely the cutest, funky shoe. Unfortunately, it is so wide I can't even stand up in it. The toe seems fine, but from there all the way to the heel my foot swam all over. I couldn't even stand up. I have several pair of Tsubos and like them a lot, but I will say that their widths are inconsistent. It's always touch and go. I don't get why so many manufacturers assume everyone has wide feet. In a shoe like this, a great form-fit is a must. Wish I could keep them, but back they go. At least I don't have to worry about returning them thanks to the amazing staff at Zappos!

Love this shoe but after one season...the sole is pulling away in both shoes and the thick canvas insole is worn away. But thank you to Zappos for an exchange, had them to long to refund. For the price they should last more than one season right?!

I now completely understand the VERY mixed reviews of this shoe. I love the look. I love the feel. I thought I found the perfect shoe!! I bought it in 2 colors! Then I wore it around the house and almost broke my ankle 10x! It is true, there is something defective about the way it is made. The narrowness of the heel is not the issue. It is how that heel is placed on the shoe. When you step, and step down on the heel, you are essentially stepping on 1/2 of the heel as it hits the floor and you twist your ankle. I am so sad. I thought I found my new favorite shoe. If they could fix that design flaw these would be perfect. Alas...

I've never tried this brand before, but they looked cool. However, I'm with the other reviewers. Even though the heel isn't that high, it's very unstable, and I wobbled immediately upon trying them on. The heel of the shoe is not directly under my center of balance of my own heel. I agree with the other reviewers that this shoe is dangerous to wear. It's going back.
