I was hesitant to buy these because of the brand, but I'm really glad I got them. I can't stand low rise workout pants/shorts--who wants to pause mid-run to pull up their pants? I need things to be high waisted so they don't slide down!! Anyway, these are really awesome. They have a contoured shape, so they really stay put, and the seams are very flattering and comfortable. The fabric is soft and the compression feels comparable to my Under Armours. I am probably going to buy a second pair. I bought size M, and they run true to size.

Great fit and feel. Perfect for hard workouts when you don't want to fuss with your clothes being out of place.

There are no words to fully describe the perfection of these shorts! As someone who has always had cellulite and excessive "jiggle," I thought I could never carry off shorts like this. I read the other customer reviews and decided to try them! I bought the medium, and it fits perfectly. I'm a size 6, 5'7". These shorts hold me in, smooth my lumps and shape me into a body I barely recognize! I wish I could wear them 24/7! This is an incredible product! I could not be happier with my purchase! They are worth the price! I'm going to buy two more right now!

These are fantastic. I live in leggings and walk every day in compression shorts, and I am super picky about compression fabric: I do not like polyester, nor like cotton, I am not wild about tricot or super shiny anything, I do not like heavy nylon/spandex mixes. I prefer thinner, lighter... but not too thin. I do not like compression garments with a lot of seams, etc. See what I mean? Picky. This is the perfect fabric and design. It is a mystery to me how they got so much compression, without being too tight at the waist and leg openings; but they did. Great waist height too, and you can easily get an 8-9 inch inseam out of these if you prefer. For all the good compression, however, this is a soft, silky fabric; not a hardcore shape wear girdle. I would give anything to have these in full length leggings as well. Are you listening, Spanx?

I love these! I ordered a large, but was sent an XL. And I'm normally a M. That's okay by me, since they are meant to fit super tight, going up two sizes is not a bad idea. They are still tight enough to stay on well while running. I love how high-waisted these are. Material is great and they are very flattering. Oh, I also got these to have a tighter running short that doesn't do the camel-toe thing. These don't do that. They are perfect.

I was looking for a good pair of workout shorts while I work on the post-baby weight loss. These shorts are great for holding in the loose belly, kind of like a sports bra for the belly! These shorts make it easier to run and do jumping jacks which makes it worth every penny for me. I'm buying a second pair.

A perfect compression short. They really hold you in with a gentle support. I was able to breathe and bend. Great for working out or just to look good!

Easy to wear, even for highly active sports. I have a hamstring problem and always wear compression shorts to walk, do yoga and play pickleball. These are very supportive without being uncomfortable.

This was expensive but very well made. I am 5'3 and weigh 165 pounds and found the large to be comfortably snug.

These are made out of a smooth, but opaque heather-type material that provides great support to the abs and lower back. They look great on their own or under shorts. I got these reluctantly, thinking I would probably end up returning them but as soon as I tried them on they were so wonderful I had to keep them! As always, thank you Zappos!

These Spanx compression shorts are the best ever! They hold everything in place no matter what moves you are doing. May be considered a bit pricey, but worth every penny. I will order more of them as soon as they are back in stock. Zappos is the best!

WOW! I've never written a review before but these are fabulous! I purchased an XL to wear under my shorts for running to help control a bit of jiggle (160,5'7"), but I'm planning on using them for other control as well. Would be great under pants or a dress - fabric is super comfortable and the right level of tightness with absolutely no "overlow" at the waist and leg. And they go high enough but not too high on the mid-section. I'll probably also order a L for when I need even a little more support (my normal size).

Spanx Shaping Compression Short is wonderful. Fits perfectly, I took the advice of another customer, and ordered up one size, wonderful and so comfortable - don't even know you have it on.

These shorts are amazing. Great for working out, wash and wear very well, and look great.

Best workout shorts ever! These shorts are so comfortable. The legs are snug yet do not roll up when you are working out hard. The waist is high and the benefit is a nice light support through the lumbar area during the workout and lifting weights. I am 5'9", 170 pounds and the size large works great for me.

I love these shorts! The material is so soft and they are comfortable to wear. I wouldn't say they are compression shorts because they do not fit super tight but just tight enough to offer good support. I always wear a base layer under my running shorts and these are the best pair I have ever owned. They fit almost to the waist and the top does not roll down and they stay up which is great. My other pair I had to always pull them up mid run and with these I even forgot I was wearing them. I highly recommend me these (but not for compression purposes). They are true to size. I was contemplating going a size up and glad I didn't.

Best workout short of this length I have found in ages! Strong high-quality fabric, great flattering cut, goes all the way to the waist (hurray!). Awesome.

I wanted to love these shorts but the high waist ruined it for me. The high waist kept rolling down when I was doing squats. I did not try running in them because that was enough for me. I did like that the legs were very comfortable and did not dig in. If these hit at my natural waist I would love em. I am 6'0" and thought that these would be perfect, but that was not the case.
