I've had 4 different pair of olukai sandals some were over $100 dollars. All of the straps have broken at the toe. Every single one. I only wear them 30-40 days a year. They look nice and are incredibly comfortable but that's it. They will break and you will be disappointed.

Too much arch and a little uncomfortable... Returned it because of comfort issues.

So disappointed these didn't work. Toe post was very uncomfortable. I found that footbed was stiff and thin. If these were $30, I would have kept but for this price they better be perfect and they weren't for me.

Great looking sandal. Comfortable and supportive foot bed, especially for high arches. The band or string between the large and second toe caused scuffing and soreness and still feels somewhat uncomfortable after many hours, days of breaking in. The Hokua style seems to be the only version which extends the upper faux leather over the textile band going also between the toes. This makes it uncomfortable and I am surprised OluKai did not foresee that and even other buyers did not complain about it. Initially looking forward to my first OluKai's , now somewhat disappointed. My old Clarks felt much better from the beginning.

These shoes are absolutely amazing but then just about a month into wearing them they are starting to fall apart. The leather strapping between toe part is coming off. Otherwise they are wonderful! I would have given them a five all together!

With so many positive reviews with Olukai Ohana and this flip the Hokua I decided spend the extra money. I liked the style and quality of the flip-flops, but after putting them on I was not that impressed. They did not seem nearly as comfortable as described by other reviewers. The right flip-flop actually hurt my foot. Maybe I got a bad pair. I sent them back and ordered Oakley Supercoil. Hopefully those will be more comfortable and save myself some money.

Bought my first pair of Hokua in 2018. Liked it very much. due to age, the arch support appears to have weakened. Bought a new pair in June 2021. This new pair appears to be causing callus/corn on the side of my right foot. Disappointed as the first pair of Hokua was grat.

Worst pair of flip flops I have ever owned. My Hokua pair had a thong that fits between the toes, made of rubber on top with a fabric underneath that was free floating (not sewn to the rubber top). This thong was wide and caused a blister on my left big toe. I cut part of this thong out to fit better and that worked. Then after a few days my right foot flip flop started hurting between the toes. Again, I cut out a piece of the thong. That did not work. So t cut out a sliver along the entire length of the thong. That did not work either. At this point I thought maybe the fabric piece of the thong was too short and pulling the top of the cross piece down on my foot. Anyway, I am now unable to wear them. $76 down the drain.

Painful! The whole shoe arches, so the middle part of my foot takes on most of the weight ?

After two summers my favorite pair of flip flops strap broke between the twos toes. Expected out of a $70 pair of flip flops that they would last longer than cheaper ones.

Fit and size are great. Absolutely love the sandals. And sadly, like so many other reviews, the thong has broken after only 2 years of light to moderate use. This is the second pair that I've bought and this has happened with, so it's pretty likely a poor construction issue. $70 is too pricey for poor construction. Because I love them so much, I'm going to try one more pair... Fingers crossed. But be warned!

The thong strap between the toes was a deal breaker for my husband. It is sharp edged, and digs into his skin.

I loved these sandals for the year that they lasted. This is my 2nd pair of these exact sandals, which are quite pricey. Eventually, both pair began to separate between the base sole and the upper sole that it is glued to. I do a lot of beach walking with these, but for this price point they should not fail. Zappos is replacing the ones that are only 1 year old, which is awesome, but these are not robust sandals in my experience.

I have had these for about one year and wore them for the first six months in the Pacific Northwest and they were great. No problems and i liked them very much. Then took them to Mexico were i was staying for four months Jam to May. Now it is a bit more humid in Mexico at that time of year than the PNW is in the summer. My feet tend to sweat in the high humidity and when that happens these flops chirp like you would not believe. There were times i had to take them off and go barefoot because of the noise and stares. They sounded like an angry 150 lb chickadee coming down the street. So i recommend them highly if your feet don't sweat. Might want to think twice otherwise. PS: They have great customer service.

Mine broke after 2 months of normal wear. I love the look and fit of these sandals, but after spending a lot and having them break so quickly, I am disappointed. The strap that goes between your toes connecting to the base, ripped out of one of mine. The only up side is that I called Zappos, and they quickly shipped me a new pair. I hope the 2nd pair does better than the 1st. Thank you Zappos for fixing the issue!

My go to flip flop….. I wear the men’s size 7, I am a women’s size 8.5 the women’s 8’s feel a little short, while the 9’s feel really big. The men’s 7 fits my arch and foot span perfectly. I ordered a size 7. Zappos sent a men’s size 13. They had to be returned. Now I am afraid to reorder for the same to be sent…

These were probably two sizes larger than supposed to be. Very disatisfied. Will no longer purchase Olukai.

Too big and cluncky

I am not sure what others are seeing in these but I have had several other OluKai sandals in the past but I had to return these. I purchased them for a recent trip to Hawaii and wore them around my house for a few days before my trip. The toe strap was extremely painful (I wear flips all the time) but assumed these would soften up a bit. One day in Hawaii and I had blisters from the toe strap. The neoprene material used in the toe strap did not conform to my foot even with after "holding" these in a rounded position with a bull dog clip for over a week to see if this fixed the problem. I had to return these.

My husband wears a size 11 in all flip flops. I'm shocked by how many reviewers think they are true to width. They fit my husband narrower than any others he's worn. He wore them for one day and the strap ripped the skin off his foot so badly, he had to wear sneakers for the entire week after. This was a wasted purchase as I had hoped these would be comfortable for all day walking while on vacation. He'll never wear them again for fear he'll experience the same issue.

Well after having these for a few weeks, I have to say I'm very disappointed. For$70 you'd think they would be of higher quality. Right out of the box the left one began to rub a blister between my toes. I thought they were just new and needed breaking in. I continued to wear them with a bandage over the blister. The rough area seemed to improve. Now recently they are rubbing a blister on the top of my foot, same side. Having to cover with a bandage again. I would return them but I have been wearing them trying to get them broken in with no luck. Would not recommend.
