I ordered two of the Pesca so I could choose between colors, Green Sage and Midnight Burnished and ended up keeping both because these shoes are really awesome. The toe bed is just slightly wide so they are comfy, and there is some nice, soft, arch support but the styling is great so they don't look clunky. The strap is adjustable, so you can make it work for you. A word about color - the Midnight Burnished is more of a blue/gray, which looks great with all the gray clothes I wear, but you can see the blue when I wear them with navy, so if you are expecting a very blue shoe, you might be disappointed. This is my first pair of Alegria and I'm happy. They look great as sandals or with tights. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because one shoe developed a squeak which other reviewers remarked on, seems due to the way the foot bed sits in the shoe. But if I adjust the strap it goes away. For those who wear Keens and Tevas (like me) this is a great alternative because the fit is similar. Wish Alegria did more shoes like this, I find most of their styles kind of hokey.

I bought the Alegria Pesca sandal earlier this summer because I have plantar fascitis and wanted an alternative to walking shoes. Size 39 (US 9-9.5) in Almond. It has been a great sandal for summer, with all the support I needed, and the color Almond looks great and is versatile. My only complaint is the shoes squeak, and I'm finding a lot of reviewers talking about other squeaking Alegria shoes. The squeaking is getting worse as time goes on, and is a little uncomfortable in public as it is quite audible. Alegria needs to fix this. I was looking at Alegria shoes for fall, but I think I'll pass.

I ordered the Alegria Pesca and they are super comfy but they squeak terribly. I am on my feet a lot and my feet enjoy them day after day. I would buy this brand of shoe again!

I am keeping these shoes even if they feel a bit big. I love the wide toe box and it has been such a long time, if ever, that my toes are so comfy, I don't know they are there. I have lots of foot issues and i don't notice any of them with these shoes. I have never tried Algeria shoes before. Excited about the possibilities! And Zappos, as always, amazing service!

This shoe squeaks badly. Solution to this problem is -- rub a thin layer of white lithium grease (home improvement stores) on the bottom of insole and no one will here you coming. This was worth it for the comfort of this shoe. Now it is my favorite shoe.

Comfortable shoes but not the cutest in the world. I wish they came in half sizes. I was able to get a wide width so that made me happy. I have Alegria Karmen, also, and I think I prefer them. However, if you are looking for a comfortable, well-made, closed-toe sandal and you are more interested in comfort than style, I recommend Alegria Pesca.

This shoe was just what I was looking for. I had to reorder in a wide, but the shoe is so well made and I love the style. But... I believe the right shoe to be a deeper toe box and the left one much narrower. My right foot seems to always fit tighter, but the left shoe of these two was very hard to get my foot in, and looking at the seems on the left toe base they shoe looks narrow and I could not get my hand clear to the top of the toe area like the right. They are not made the same. If they can send me two shoes with the same deeper toe base, I would like to have this shoe. 4 stars only for the toe area.

Fun looking shoe but quite frankly I thought they were too young looking for me. Too trendy. If I were 40 instead of 66 I would have kept them. However, with all those straps they're not quite a perfect fit if you have a high instep like I do. Great light color. Had to return though.

I love these shoes! I have high arches and bunions. These have great arch support and plenty of room in the toe box. The only issue is with the noise they make. The sole makes a wet shoe sound on carpeting. Otherwise I love them!

I ordered a 39 in this style last year when I first started wearing Algeria shoes. I felt it was too tight. So this time I ordered a 40 and it is entirely to large all over even if I wore socks. I wish there was a happy medium. I really like the shoe. If you have an answer please contact me.

Overall I am happy with the shoe. My biggest complaint is that the flat bottom on the sole trips me up sometimes and I hope I don't twist my ankle one day. I wish they would remake the shoe with a "normal" arch in the sole for gripping the floor. It is a flat platform that can cause me to loose my balance. Having said that, I have a neuroma between my metatarsals on the front of my foot, and these are the only shoes that I can walk/stand in all day without pain. There is ample arch support and the wide toebox allows my toes to splay so that the neuroma (knot of nerves) does not cause pain. Please redesign with a sole that is closer to the ground and has an arch on the bottom. Some of the Alegria shoes do have better sole design for walking. I have to give one star for style. Although I get compliments on them, I think it is because they are so ugly they get people's attention, and they don't want to say anything unkind when they notice them.

Love these shoes. I have problems with my feet and these have been the answer for me this summer. Was so disappointed when my right shoes developed a "squeak." The company furnished me with a new insole but it was not as comfortable as the original. So I am sticking with the "squeak" and hoping the Company is able to solve the problem. I would like to order another pair in a different color but will wait hoping for a solution.

I bought the Pesca in butternut. The color was yellowish but not outlandish. I put them on and wore them with no break-in period. They are so comfortable. The arch is in the right place and my foot doesn't slide in the shoe. They were a little difficult to get on because the 2nd strap isn't adjustable, but I'm sure the strap will give after wearing them a bit. I want to order another pair, they were that good.

As others said, this leather is very stiff. I like the lower sole, but they were not as comfortable in the toes and around the ankle. A little saddle soap helped soften them up.

I tried these shoes in several sizes to get the right fit, because I wear them with my custom orthodics. They come with a thick footbed that is easily removed. I settled on the size 39 to get the right fit for my orthodics. I am a size 9 usually. These shoes work well for a casual summer/transition shoes and are a replacement for a similar pair of Keens that I loved. I prefer the Keens rubbery sole to the Alegria's plastic, but am happy to have found something that works. I have somewhat narrow feet (except in the toe area) and have to strap this shoe down all the way to wear it.

Cute in a clunky way. Terrific support and great walking shoe. My computer monitor did not show that this shoe has an slightly embossed pattern on it. I expected smooth leather. Just mentioning this to anyone who has monitor like mine. I believe this shoe will be durable supportive and comfy for the long term.

This is my fourth pair of Alegrias, and I've loved them all. They are well-made, although sometimes they have features that cause problems, and that is why I'm probably going to send these back: they are beautifully made, soft with that wonderful Alegria comfort...except for two things: the strap that fastens across the instep -- the one that lets me wear this shoe on my narrow foot -- is attached with thin elastic on one side and fastens with velcro. How long can either of these features be expected to last? Clearly, the elastic will stretch out and render the strap useless, while the velcro will gradually lose its grip. What a stupid thing to do with such a wonderful pair of shoes!

I need a wide toe and narrow heel. This has a wide enough toe, but the heel is too loose for me so I walk out of the shoe with every step I take. Too bad, because the shoe is otherwise comfortable, and cute.

The shoe runs a bit small. I normally wear a size 39 but the strap part is a bit short. At first it feels tight but once you break it in it will adjust a bit. If you want a loser fit get one size up.

The leather is so stiff it would take a year to break it in, so I am returning the sandals. The strap is too short to accommodate my pes cavus (high arch).

This style fits much smaller than any other Alegria shoes & boots I have. Even ordering my regular size in wide width, I could barely squeeze my foot in (even without a sock on). Very, very tight in both width and length. Also, the metal ring that the velcro strap goes through is WAY too narrow - you can't pull the strap out of the ring to get the shoe on because the metal ornament is in the way. It won't fit through. The strap only loosens maybe 1/2" making it hard to squeeze into the shoe - particularly if you have high arches. Just a bad design and bad fit.

I don't know what's happened to Alegria shoes. Did they switch manufacturers? I bought a pair about 6 years ago of the oxfords, size 39, and they are REALLY comfortable. I've worn them constantly. But every pair I've ordered and tried in the last few years, in size 39, has been just a tad short. My big toes are squished up against the front, and very uncomfortable. Of course, a size 40 is too big. My feet slip up and down. I've given up on this brand, except for the slip-on styles. They seem to fit okay.

Liked the shoe because it would hold my orthotics, but wish they made it with an open toe for summer.
