I really wanted to keep these. I loved the style and they looked great on, but they were just too narrow and the zipper crimped just enough on my leg (due to the length of the shaft) that it rubbed. The leather may have stretched enough eventually to have overcome the narrowness, but the zipper would have always been an issue. Almost all of the reviews have commented on the narrowness and shaft length. If you would fix those two things, you’d sell a lot more of these boots.

I think the reviews that they fit bigger than usual are wrong & misleading. I am between 9 & 9.5, read the recommendations to go down a whole size and ordered size 9. They are so I tight I cannot wear them! ?????? I they're really cute, but I don't recommend sizing down!!! Unfortunately, I was away when they arrived and hubby threw out the packaging so now I might not be able to return/ exchange it & I'm stuck with a $300 shoe I can never wear.... ??

When I got these boots, I LOVED the touch of them and the feel of them. The inside is beautiful. The red sole and red stitching is amazing. The style is beautiful and interesting. However, they come up too far on the calf (I am 5'5", 130# and wear a 7 1/2 shoe). I bought these in a 7 1/2. The length of the boot was fine but the box was so narrow that each step was agony. They are so beautiful and so good looking that I thought of buying a shoe stretcher and toughing it out. But the shaft is not only too high (you could fold down and show the fabulous inside leather), there is also a hard piece of leather on the back that sticks up even higher than the boot shaft and sticks into the back of your thigh when you sit down. With only a few tweaks of design, this could be the perfect boot. As is, not so much.

These seem relatively comfy but they seem to run small for my foot. They also buldged at the top back of the boot, which I hate. I have skinny legs so this might not be a problem for most. But I'd definitely try at least 1 half size up. Looks-wise: loved the look of the rustic leather and it was high quality

These are beautiful boots & I really wanted to like them. I initially bought a size 9, but they were too tight, although I liked the fit at the ankle & leg. I exchanged them for a 9.5, which then seemed to bunch up at the ankle (where the zipper is), and they felt very loose and uncomfortable. So unfortunately they will also be going back. :(

These boots seriously were the BOMB.COM!!! They ended up not working for me though just due to the tightness around my calves! Which was a bummer because i don't have very large calves. I just decided they wouldn't be a great boot for me because id definitly be wearing skinny jeans this fall with them and they were already snug when i had some thin leggings on !!!!!!! But the boot is extremly comfortable and super cool looking im sad they didnt work! :( Size:11 In the color: black

seriously have never had a problem with size 9 and these were super small and seemed a bit flimsy on the leather...used to Frye quality, heavy substantial leather...was going to try these because a friend reccomended, not impressed but could just be the style...still...returning and getting another pair of Fryes

The leather was much too thin to stand up under its own weight. And felt more than a full size too large.

Great-looking boot!, and I wish they had a lining! The raw leather in the shaft sticks to my skinny jeans, making them pull up and gather in wrinkles at the knee. I envision constant management. I tried them with tights and they pulled at those, too. For this money, I'd want a lining in the shaft as well as in the footbed, which isn't very comfortable. They have a strong leather smell.

I loved the look of these boots online and was super excited for them to arrive. The Teak Glaze Leather was more of a flat brown in real life than in the picture. More importantly, there just seemed to be too much leather - the boots were unattractively bunching on my calves. I'm sorry to have to return them.

These are lovely soft leather but did not fit me well - long and narrow. I would say if you have a narrow foot, order down a half size and it might work - if you have a wide foot, don't bother. The light color is beautiful, but right out of the box was already marked up, so it would definitely be a "distressed" look. Also, the leather is so soft that the boot doesn't stay up that well and pooches out at the top of the zipper.

I don't like the unlined leather. I think I have normal sized calfs yet the shaft of the boot is too tight to wear over leggings. Seems like a well-made boot though!

At least in a size 10, this boot just looks too masculine/work booty to me. It's also so tall, the top folds beneath my knee when I sit down, and I'm 5'10. Good quality though, so if you like the work-boot look, this might be for you.

Should have listened to the reviews, I order a 6 which is normally what I wear, but since they didn't have a 5.5, I thought with me having a high arch and high instep they would fit ok. Not so. Too big. Slipped on my heel, and looked huge. I have very skinny legs so even when I tied them up, they puckered up and look funny. Nice quality and loved the look. Just didn't work.

These boots were more distressed than I expected, but they were very attractive. The problem was that they were too tall for me and the front part came up to the middle of my knee. I'm 5'2".

These are beautiful boots, but they are huge on me. I normally wear 8½-9. I ordered 8½ and needed at least one size smaller. The boot shaft was also too tall, I could not bend my knee comfortably.

I really like the look of this boot, but I found them very hard to put on and take off. The zipper on the side is a half zipper, so the laces in the back had to be untied and loosened to get the boot on. They came up all the way to my knee (I'm 5'6") which I liked, but I feel like it added to the off/on difficulty. They also seemed to run a little big.

I'm 5"11, a size 4 jeans and my calves are pretty narrow. As a result it's been difficult to find the right durable well made stylish boot that I can wear to the office and with Jeans from day to day. These are beautiful boots, very well made and stylish but I walk right out of the heels and wish they were a little more fitted. They run big if you ask me. I ordered a 9.5 which is usually what I wear most often and I could have gone down to a 9.

disappointed. They hurt a little in the footbed. A little too narrow. I love the look but don't think they're worth the price. Also worried about the cracking and peeling leather I read about in the reviews. Sadly going back.

Beautiful boot, and definitely fits a larger calf, but the foot is very narrow and feels like it has a band across the top of the foot...maybe a seam, that makes it very uncomfortable. I would only consider this boot if you have a narrow foot.

I am a huge fan of quality boots, and own several pair of Frye boots (some of which I've had for 20+ years, still going strong). I'd heard good things about the brand Bed Stu and decided to order the Manchester in Teak Glaze in both the 7 and 7 1/2. Upon opening the box for the size 7 and removing all the stuffing, I was struck by how incredibly thin the leather was on the leg shaft. I decided to try it on. The foot of the bed is built very sturdy and I liked the fact that you can adjust how the boot fits at the top, but was basically horrified by how thin the material is on the leg itself. Zappos website recommended the 7; I normally wear a 7 1/2. For sizing reference, the 7 was too small; the 7 1/2 fit perfectly. I sent both pair back because of how thin the leather was on the leg. I probably won't ever buy any Bed Stu boot if that's how they are all constructed.

I think I may be the only person who doesn't like these boots. The quality of the boot shaft just doesn't hold up to standard. For the price, I was expecting a high quality leather, but the shaft was like a chamoise cloth you use for the car. Definitely felt paper thin and cheap. Unfortunately sending these back (going back to my standard Frye!).

Not over the knee!!!

I loved the look of these boots, but the sizing (and boot height) didn't work on my 5'6" frame. I initially had to return the size 8 I ordered because the fit was way too big. Since I loved the look, I decided to try the 7 1/2 but it was significantly smaller than the 8 and fit too small and narrow. I had to give up on this Bed Stu boot.

Did not like the finish at all on these boots. They are more like a biker boot than a winter dress boot.
