My five year old prefers an open shoe in place of a sneaker. This is the perfect shoe for athletic playing while keeping her tootsies cool - she's already gotten a ton of use out of them. I also love that it's washable and can be used as a water shoe. We'll be headed up north this summer and the beaches aren't exactly like those in the south. These shoes will allow her to explore the ocean without cutting up her feet.

I buy a lot of Pediped shoes for my 3 year old in size 27 (10-10.5 wide) and they fit perfectly with just a bit room to grow but these in 27 were huge. I will try to order 26 to see if they fit better.

I am on the website to buy a second pair. We had these last year and they were perfect for Summer Camp and playgrounds. They can get wet so they are cool for the beach and the playground with water features, the mesh keeps out stones and debris. Sand does get in because it is a mary jane but that is fine. Because they are pink they get filthy, but you throw them in the wash and they are good. At the end of the summer they did begin to look grimy (after the wash they did not look new anymore, just clean), but she wore these shoes every day to the YMCA and on weekends when we had any type of play involved. These are workhorse shoes. My daughter is the smallest kid in her entire school and has the smallest foot I have ever seen on a 5 year-old. She cannot fit GAP or children's place shoes because the heels are too wide and the foot bed gaps on the side; the shoes slip off when she runs. Geox, Pediped with straps, and Clarks fit her size 10 to 10.5 medium to narrow foot perfectly.

My 6 yr old has a wide foot with high instep, so comfortable, well-made shoes are hard to find. She loves these!

This is the third pair of Minnie Flex I have bought for my three year old daughter. I like knowing that as her feet grow they are supported. She likes them and even when she was two was able to get them on and off independently. They breathe well and are easy to wash.

Overall great summer shoes. They are very versatile as playground and beach shoes and go with skirts and shorts very well. My daughter can put these on and take them off herself with a reminder of which shoe goes on which foot. We've had two pair; one for each of the past two summers. We had the purple pair the first summer she was walking and they were washed 5-10 times in our top load washing machine. They did fade a little by the end of the summer but they still looked nice enough to wear nice outfits. The second summer (this summer) we had the pink and in general they appeared more worn and dirty than the previous pair. I didn't wash them as many times but did scrub them a couple. The glue seemed to trap dirt in some places so the looked a little dirtier. I noticed the mesh on the outside tore some on one of the shoes, which I'm not distraught over, but its still not cool on expensive shoes after 3 months of wear. Maybe I just have high expectations of Pediped. I seem to be brand loyal for her primary shoes for each season (Peidped Dakota is our sneaker favorite). I definitely recommend this shoe. I hope Pediped continues making this style; I'll buy it every year. If you're torn between colors, go with the Purple because it hides dirt better.

Good shoes, clean easily. My daughter helped plant the garden in them and covered them with dirt and mud. They washed right up and still look nice

Super cute and comfortable. My 3 year old never complains about wearing them. Also, an airy shoe for the summer to play in outside and very easy to clean up.

These are the best shoes for both of our girls (ages 18 months and 3 1/2). They are easy to put on and take off. Because there is mesh along the sides, they can even wear them to the park and not get rocks in them. I love that they can be thrown in the washing machine. I would definitely recommend them!

Great shoes. Very light and comfortable. My daughter's favorite shoes. I wish they had more neutral color combination.

I'm disappointed. These are my favorite brand of shoes for my daughter. I've owned multiple styles. We bought the pink and she gets a lot of use of them at school. I love the quality and the details and the comfort, BUT the color looks so dingy after one wear. I've even washed them and they look so old, yet she's only had them a few weeks! I think the light pink is aging the worst. They're great and she'll keep wearing them, but they look like they've been through the ringer. I'll keep that in mind for the materials on my next buy.

I love Pediped shoes and this was the first time I ordered them from Zappos. Unfortunately, they arrived without the Flex insert, so are a little too big for my daughter (same issue with another pair in purple that I bought). Zappos quickly sent me another pair of each, but those were also missing the inserts. Zappos customer service was great! They are looking to see what the issue is since this happened with 4 pairs of this shoe. I'll try another Flex shoe entirely and hope for better luck.

We've purchased this style of Pediped since our child was 2. They are super comfy, very durable and she loves the look. We love that the removable insert gives us longer wear, too.

These shoes are super cute and can be worn without socks with no blisters. They don’t smell like keens do for us and they are easier to get on pudgy toddler feet quickly! A great buy.

These are by far my daughter's favorite shoes this summer! They are just light enough for a hot day, and just sturdy enough I don't have to worry. Very lightweight, super easy to clean, and also great for playing near water (water table, splash pad, etc). Definitely will buy next size up as well.

Love these shoes! Have bought them for the last 3 summers for each of my daughters. I love that they are cute, washable, easy on/off - they match everything. Great all around.

Personally I love them. My 4 year old hates anything on her feet and she tolerates these. The fact that I can throw them in the wash or she can wear to the beach makes them worth it.

My daughter loves these. She wore them in the ocean and you can throw them in the washing machine. A nice looking shoe that you'd never know could be worn in the water!

This is my daughter's second pair after she outgrown her size 6. I got her a size 9.5 and she still loves it. She thinks it is stylish (coz its purple) and most importantly, it is comfortable on her feet!

My daughter has sweaty feet that stink if they can't breathe in shoes. These are perfect to fix that problem!
