Although these are big, clunky shoes, they are very comfortable and required virtually no break-in. They have a steel toe and are heavy but definitely look cool.

I love the styling of these shoes. They look great and the thick sole boosts me up another inch. Personally, I don’t find them very comfortable. I have high arches and could not walk in them unless I put in some arch supports. I wouldn’t go hiking with these shoes but love to wear them when there is not a lot of walking needed.

My wife gave these to me as a gift and they are fantastic! Great for work and for casual. They do run bigger I usually wear a 7 1/2 to 8 and the 7 is perfect for toe room and heel stability.

These Work Naseby ST 4 Ties are now my favorite, go-to daily shoes. I've only been wearing them for a day, all day, and they are incredibly comfortable, including excellent arch support and the laces allow me to tighten them up for a better fit on my narrow feet. Perfect heel height, giving a solid lift but not too high (I have other Doc boots that have higher heels; I love those boots, too, but don't like wearing that high of a heel more than a few hours; that said, I hate a heel that's too low, so these Work Nasebys are the perfect heel height for feeling upright and lifted all day.) When I first tried them on, I thought that the tongue felt very stiff and worried that it wouldn't soften given that there is a rubber Dr. Martens brand label on the front; I switched to regular-thickness -- but not super thick or heavy -- cotton socks rather than the very insubstantial "socklets" I'd been wearing and instantly knew these would be some of my most comfortable shoes. I don't work industrial or at a job that requires safety shoes -- I'm an artist, a painter -- but I do like a substantial shoe that protects my feet while also looking super hip and cool with my daily jeans and t-shirts. Some reviewers feel that these shoes make their feet look too big; I am a woman in my 50's, 5.4" tall, 125 pounds, narrow feet; these shoes are chunky and big, but somehow they project a cool, fashionable vibe, especially if you're wearing them with cute jeans or even cropped pants. These are true to size: I wear a US 7.5 or 8, usually an 8 in boots, and I ordered a UK 6/US Women's 8 in these shoes, which fit perfectly, even without adding an insert as I often do with my other Doc boots or shoes. High-quality leather, soles, and just excellent overall workmanship and materials.

Great! Would never buy another brand of shoe. Wore my last pair for 3 years every day. I spend a lot of time in restaurants with slippery kitchen floors and never skip.

I have been wearing, "Docs," since 1986, and these by far are the MOST COMFORTABLE ones I have ever had the pleasure to wear. I have no idea what separates these from past shoes, but from the second I put them on my feet, it was instant comfort! They are extremely cushiony and not as heavy as past versions. Moreover unlike other instances where my new, "Untamed," shoes and their respective break-in periods had me walking in my socks in unbridled pain through Boston by the end of the night, these shoes? No problem! I typically by a size up (or at least half of a size), but took a risk with these and selected my actual size and there was no problem with that. These specific shoes also provide a sweet, "lift," as well due to their 1.5" soles which is always nice unless you are already a giant. Their appearance is splendid and resonant of the older styles Dr. Martins, but like I have previously stated, their comfort is a pleasure all day long. Truly a walking on clouds type of feeling. Lastly, as always my shoes arrived super fast. As if they already anticipated my purchase. A little strange...no?

Very handsome shoe BUT, they are very heavy. These are better suited for construction or warehouse work.

I find Dr. Martens' give me stable footing on & off the equipment I operate during my work shift. There comfortable, my feet don't develop tiredness, or soreness from long periods of having them on. The fit is true to your size.

Great boots. Solid, supportive and cool looking. I replaced the insoles with Dr Scholls work inserts, and they're comfy. I work in a warehouse on my feet all day. I walk between 5 and 15 miles a day on solid concrete, so I kill a pair of boots every 6 months or so. I've tried Merrells, Wolverine and Dr Scholls, with middling success. Only boots that have really worked were made by Caterpillar. But I've always wanted a pair of Docs, so I got these. I like them. Heavy, for sure, but I take that to equate to durability. We'll see, I guess , but so far so good.

Comfortable from the first day I wore them. I am on my feet all day at work. Up and down stairs and ladders, on hard and slippery surfaces. These shoes are great! Very sturdy yet comfortable. They are heavy but that's what I like in a work shoe. More arch support than I was expecting which was a bonus. This is my second pair I've bought for work only because my dog ate the first ones!

Love these shoes. Like all Doc Martens, made extremely well, will last forever, very comfortable. Only problem, at about 10 months of use, they started to squeak very badly. Zappos replaced them, which is another reason I love Zappos. They stand behind their stuff and never give you a hard time when dissatisfied. Maybe Zappos can take over the airline industry!

My husband has been wearing Dr. Martens safety toe shoes for 8 years. He is on his feet all day and very hard on shoes. These shoes provide great support and hold up to his abuse.

Got my first Doc Martens, made in England, at a thrift store six years ago. Lasted about four years of heavy use. Later bought a less expensive pair of Martens from Zappos; these were made in China and okay, but had thinner soles and lasted about two years, again heavy use. These Naseby were also made in China but appear to be up to the standards of the English originals, very well-made and heavy-duty, so I am satisfied. Better to spend a few bucks more and get top-of-line, rather than the cheaper ones.

A first time buyer of a Dr. Marten product. The shoe is very good quality. A very much negative is the insert. It is extremely thin at the ball of the foot area. I replaced them in 2 days. Otherwise I would not buy this shoe.

I love these shoes but beware, they do have a steel toe and are very heavy! I didn't get that from the description. Otherwise, they're great! Order toward the large size if you are in doubt.

The shoes are comfortable to wear but they are heavy. I walk a lot at my job and these shoes tend to get heavier as the day goes by. Also, the insole wore out after 11 months of use. The replacement insole sold by Zappos is not the same as the original. I don't know if they will be as comfortable.
