I believe these will be great water shoes, no holes for rocks to get in. Shoes seem to be a little more narrow, but will advantages in wading while fishing.

My 12 year old loves these shoes! We got them for a hiking trip, but he's been wearing them everywhere! He loves that you don't have to tie the laces (I regret every pair of Velcro shoes I bought him as a toddler and preschooler...he hates having to tie shoelaces!). We still have yet to see how they'll do on our hiking trip...I'll try to update when we get back.

Shoes are well made and are great for camping. Good support and the ability to slip them on like clogs is very handy when letting the dogs out. They were uncomfortable at first until I figured out how the right fit with the rear adjustable strap. I own another pair of Solomon and I love the lace system and style.

I bought these to replace a pair of sandals. I do a fair amount of day hiking and I use these to hike in. Because of the adjustable heel strap you can snug them better than regular sandals which also means that pebbles cant get in. I mainly wear socks although you can wear them without. They are great for wearing out every place. I love the way they fit, they are very comfortable.

This shoe is great if you are in warm weather. I hiked the first 900 miles of the pct with these. Wearing these with a pair of thick alpaca socks is good for early season hikes in the mountains when you can expect frequent stream crossings. Stream crossings can be dangerous and these shoes will save you time since you do not need to change your shoes to make a quick cross. The water drains and your feet stay light. Happy trails.

A great water shoe. I use them all day fly fishing, hang them up overnight and they are dry for walking the next day. The only problem is that they are a bit short. Wish they came in a 14.

Great shoe. Used primarily for canoe tripping. Super sticky sole for slick rock with great traction on the portages. Toe protection solid with good venting for water. Drawbacks are that insole can start slipping and bunching up with wet entry and exit and heel cuff allows heel to pop unless cranked really tight. Overall great all around wet shoe.

I bought a pair of the original Techamphibians in 2005 and I am still wearing them. I have worn them everywhere: to climb waterfalls in Jamaica, kayaking in Mexico & Grand Turk, and hiking up and down the Appalachian Mountains, and everywhere in between. I am now planning on buying a new pair to replace my old ones, not because the old ones are worn out, but because I need a good pair of shoes to wear around the house to do yard work and my old ones will work great, plus it is a good excuse to buy a new pair of Salomons.

Love these shoes. Haven't gotten to get them wet yet, but very comfy. I love Salomon shoes, and these are the first river shoes I have had. They are very well made, and my last pair lasted for several years, which included trail running. These will be used in the river and on the boats. Zappos does a great job again.

Bought these for a canoeing trip, though I should have broken them in a bit before the trip. The right shoe fit perfectly, but the left shoe left a blister near my toe (I wore them without socks). Otherwise, these shoes worked out great. Good tread, even in the water on slippery rocks and they dry out reasonably quickly. Or at least they get dry enough, especially if you set them out in a breeze and/or the sun for a while. I also wore them on some rough portage trails and they worked out fine for me, though I feel like I have pretty strong ankles most of the time. I'd recommend these, but I'd also recommend that you break them in with socks for a while, before you go on any serious outdoors excursions.

Great shoe for slippery surfaces, I always wear them if on a roof as they grip well even when its wet. Very easy to slip on with the collapsable heel so if you want shoes on in a hurry, you can step into them and go, then pull up the heel and tighten laces later if you want. They breath really well in hot conditions and also work well in cold with thick socks. The mesh keep dirt particles out which is a nuisance with sandals. On the downside, they don't wear well, the soles compress fast so no good for running or lots of walking and heel support is minimal. New sole inserts extend their life a lot but eventually the mesh will fail on the sides. I've had 10 or so pairs over the years. I haven't found a better breathable shoe, though I wish they would wear better and have a little more toe width when new.

Bought these for scuba diving. The soles are like regular shoes and therefore very comfortable. The uppers are not super comfortable but I’m hoping they’ll soften up after they break in. They’re a lot better if you don’t over tighten them. Overall they’re very well made, and although pricey for water shoes I would buy them again.
