Pluses: Style is classic. Also, the thinner sole make them feel much lighter than regular Converse. Cons: Sizing. I usually wear 8 1/2 in most shoes, and ordered an 8 and a 9. I already have a pair of women's converse that are a size 8 that fit fine, but these are definitely smaller as other reviewers said. The 8 was too small and the 9 a bit big. I'm still just deciding if the extra room at the end make them look like clown shoes. If you have a small foot, this won't be an issue! Really wish they'd make half sizes. One more plus was Zappos itself- excellent easy ordering and return of the size that didn't fit.

Very small and tight fit. I already have a pair of Chucks not the Dainty Ox that are the same size I ordered in this, and they fit, these don't.

The "dainty" style of these shoes are great, but they're a lot smaller and narrower than the sizing for the classic Converse. Normally I'm a size 6.5 and wear 7 for Converse, but I'm a size 8 with these. I like these more than my regular Converse and I'm definitely going to be wearing them a lot!

I got these in two colours, chocolate and black mono. I thought I would love them, and they looked cool, with a smaller sole and less huge toe cap than the regular Converse style. However, they were really narrow and I could see the side of my foot bulging over the side when they were laced up. Sad! I will have to return them.

This is my first pair of Chucks, they are as narrow as they look! I'm hoping they'll stretch a bit, but I love the look!

Super cute...I love the low profile of the shoe. They have a little less padding in the footbed than the regular ones, but they're still quite comfortable. I just hate how the toes get dirty so easily, but that's a hazard of the shoe! The only thing that's a bummer is that if you wear socks cut low enough that they don't show, the tongue of the shoe can hurt the top of your foot.

Very cute. Much narrower than normal Chucks. The ankle opening is also wider, meaning my socks show a bit more than I'd like. All in all though, they're a daintier version of the normal ones, and go better with some girly clothes.

I love these Converse. They are pretty narrow, so I went up a half size and I was glad I did!

These are a great, less bulky alternative to the classic Chuck Taylor. "Dainty" might be an overstatement, but they are definitely lower-profile than the original. I like the thinner sole, it makes the shoe more feminine. They are pretty flat so the arch support isn't amazing, but they are pretty comfortable and felt true to size. I got the white and they got dirty quickly, but they wash up nicely in the machine on gentle cycle with cold water (remove laces first, then lay out to air dry for a day or two). Quick shipping and great service from Zappos, as always!

The All Star Dainty Ox is much more flattering than the normal Chuck Taylors. It is more narrow and fits a woman's foot better. These aren't the most comfortable shoes in the world, but they do the trick.

These are always classics. Converse Dainty Ox is a winner. These do run a little narrow but they are cute and a slimline approach the Converse Chuck All Star Core Ox. These are true to size but run a little narrower than the classic Chucks. I have wider feet and they fit fine. I got them in black. Now I want a pair in white.

Just like the original only feminine. Super cute! I size down half a size in the original Chucks but don't do so with these - go with your usual size as these are true to size! A little narrow in the toes so if that is a problem, size up.

Love the orchid color and the fit. They don't look all that different from regular chucks, but feel a lot less clunky (so they must look less clunky too!).

I love them! They are so cute, and not clunky at all. I wish they had half sizes. They do run pretty narrow though, so if you have wide feet, these are definately not for you.

This is my first pair of the dainty ox and I love them. They are lighter than the regular Chuck and you can't argue with the style! The real reason I wanted to write a review was to say that Zappos is kind of awesome. Despite the fact that I went with free shipping, my shoes were shipped so promptly that I received them in 24 hours. That's nuts. 'ppreciate ya.

These are super cute and less chunky looking than the original Chucks. I think they're much more versatile, but as many other reviewers have mentioned, these are narrower and shorter than the originals. I have had many pairs of the originals for years and always worn a size 6, but when I got these "Dainty Ox" in size 6 they were SO tight! Also, like someone else mentioned, the inside of the part where the tongue meets the toe has this piece of fabric that rubbed against my pinky toe and made it really uncomfortable. I imagine if I had actually walked around in these for a few minutes I would have gotten a blister in that spot almost immediately. Fortunately, sizing up to a 7 solved all those problems. When I physically held the size 7 Dainty Ox against my size 6 original Chucks, they were the same length, but the Dainty Ox still looked a tiny bit narrower. I'm glad I got these and I will totally buy them again, but Converse needs to fix their sizing on this shoe!

Should have gotten a bigger size, all of my chucks are the same size but these fit a little too snug. Guess I'm going to have to break them in. Cute shoes though.

It could well be my door but I felt it was too narrow and I have a narrow small foot (5) and it was simply uncomfortable. There is no support but a cute shoe.

I have tried several Converse styles, but they are all cut too narrow for my wider foot. The area around my last two toes really rubbed, so there was no hope of these being comfortable. Had to send them back!

I love the style of the shoes, however, the fit is smaller than what I thought. I usually wear a 9 so it didn't occur to me to get a size bigger. So I gave them to my mom who wears a size smaller than me and she loves them. Win/win in my book.

I liked the fact that they were narrower than the unisex Converse Chuck Taylors, but there was no arch support whatsoever and the shoes were too low cut to allow for an orthotic. Returned.

I got a half size bigger because they felt a little snug. Didn't help. Too narrow and the seam was rubbing the top of my foot.

Almost bought these, in spite of the no arch support, because they look so cool in white with the contrasting trim---but then I found some that fit better AND looked cool. I have a wide toe, narrow heel, usually wear a 10.5, and an 11 in these would have been fine.
