These are really cute but do not have the typical Dansko comfort. I wore them one day and my feet hurt at the end of the day - in a Dansko sandal - shocking! The heel is much higher than the normal Dansko footbed, making it feel like a high heel and adversely affecting the support in the arch. I would not order these again, because they are not comfortable to walk in.

The footbed of the Dansko Tory is super comfortable and is great for high arches. However, I had to return this shoe because the leather straps that crisscross on top were so tight, I could not get my foot all of the way into the shoe. I tried wearing the shoes around the house hoping they would loosen up but they did not. I will probably just choose a different Dansko. The style was very trendy and looked amazing with dressy and casual clothes (both crops and jeans/slacks). So, if you have narrow feet, this shoe would be great for you, if not, you might have the same difficulties as I did.

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. They are very attractive. For me, they are not nearly as comfortable as my Borns or my Onex sandals. The leather is quite tight and the footbed doesn't have much give. I have had these on a shoe stretcher for a couple of weeks, and now I can make them work. If you have small or narrow feet, these shoes will probably work well for you. If you have a high instep, you may not find these comfortable. I usually wear a size 8, and I do have Dansko Professionals in a size 38 but size 38 in these Torys were too small. I ordered the 39 and the length is good, but the instep is still quite tight. If I am wishing I hadn't worn these outside so I could return them.

I'm returning them. The top strap chafes my toes; my feet and ankles look fat and clunky in them; the height is uncomfortable - both on the balls of my feet and in my legs.

Love the style but had to return because it was too narrow and lacked any arch support. I wear a size 39 and my foot felt like it was a stuffed sausage. I know leather stretches, but as tight as this was it would have been a painful process to break in.

Unless you have very narrow feet, do not order these shoes. They are far from true to size, both in length and width. Such a shame.

Absolutely love these! Wore them to work all summer with pants (look really cute with long pants) capris, shorts, skirts. I was amazed I could wear a shoe with a heel all day and absolutely no foot pain! I love Dansko's. I developed plantar fasciitis, very painful and now wear just Danskos and no pain, even these heels. Did get some rubbing on my right pinky toe, but would put a bandaid on the toe and it would be okay. Most of the time didn't bother with the bandaid. They do come down the toes pretty far. Soft foot bed keeps the feet from trying to slide out the shoe. No stretching out of the leather, fit great at the end of summer as the beginning. Only sandal I'll wear, well, until I get another pair of Dansko's.

Hello fellow Zappos lovers! I just got my pair of Dansko Torys yesterday. I listened to your advice ladies, and bought the 7.5-8 size rather than the 6.5-7 which I normally wear, as you'd said they run narrow. Well, my duck feet fit right in them and it was love at first feel. Immediate comfort! The leather was a tiny bit stiff but after only about five minutes of wearing them around the house, they are already softening and expanding to fit my feet already. I would say there is no breaking in period. The tiny drawback is that there is about 1/4" of the heel that is visible, due to the sizing up, as I mentioned. That is a small price to pay for all day comfort. I am the stereotypical Dansko wearer; a teacher who is on her feet all day. Under jeans and slacks, you cannot even see the heel issue. Since I live in a mild climate (Santa Cruz, CA) I can see wearing these well into October. After that I will transfer into my....what else? Dansko boots which I bought last year from Zappos; also a dream to wear! Did I say that my husband said these Torys are cute? Added bonus. Of course Zappos got these out to me next day. Love Zappos. They should be the model for customer service in all industries! Zappos, you rock!

I absolutely love the style but they were really tight across the width of my foot. Danskos usually fit me comfortably right from the start; these didn't and I didn't want to kill my feet hoping the leather would break in.
