I should have listened to other reviews that said these run small. I normally wear a 42 in Dansko, and that's what I purchased. Unfortunately, this 42 feels way too small. On the one hand, it's not Dansko's fault that these don't fit me. On the other hand, I have about three other paid of Danskos, and they are all 42, so they should have greater consistency in sizing. I'm returning these, and unfortunately, Zappos does not carry a 42. Looks like I can purchase a 43 from Dansko directly, so that's what I'll be trying.

I usually wear a size 9, regular width, in women's shoes, but euro size 39 does not seem to work for me; the Dansko Sam in 40 is perfect. I work in a busy restaurant and have high arches: I did have sore feet after the first day (busy weekend lunch shift!) of breaking them in but nothing extreme. Recommended for kitchen people. Probably the most attractive but practical shoe option I've seen for my work.

I love my shoes, the color is perfect. The only drawback I have & it has nothing to do with the shoe but more with my foot is that since they are rounded in the front my long middle toe hits the front of the shoe. If I get size up it will be too big, the shoe fits perfect its just my long toes. If you have that "longer" second toe you may have that same issue but I am use to it and it doesn't hurt or bother me at all. Other from that, the color, materialname beautiful. The insole is suede like so your feet are comfy & cushioned.

I so wanted to love these. They were very comfy right out of the box. Fit as expected but they just had a bit too much of an “old lady” vibe so, I returned them. Maybe better with long pants than Capri or ankle length.

Fit and size were perfect. The insole is very supportive and cushy without bending at the metatarsal (I have hallux limitus and need that "stiff sole" feel in the metatarsal). Also the buckles are very sturdy. Had looked at another brand but the velcro strap -- not reliable over time, as the velcro tends to get clogged and not stick. These do the trick. They will look great with pixie pants (calf length). the blueish color is more grey, but it is a nice neutral. I highly recommend these shoes --wish they came in even more colors! I will buy them again.

Definitely a new favorite especially during those in between months when it’s rainy/chilly and you still crave the warmer weather but don’t want your whole foot exposed. So comfortable love them

This shoe felt very heavy on my foot. Also, I kept falling on my ankle.

I’ve had many Danskos through the years and have never been disappointed. I usually wear size 39 but had to send these back and get size 40 as my toes hit the end. These clogs are really stylish and I love the blue-gray color.

The Dansko Sam's are very cute but the fit is off somehow. I have always worn a 42 but these seem a bit small. Arch doesn't correctly on my right foot. I also feel like they would make my feet sweat without socks and that is not the look I was going for. I would like a closed toe sandals but these are stiff and might not be too comfortable wearing them all day. Unfortunately I will have to ship them back.

These are comfortable right out of the box, and the toe room is nice, if a little wide for those of us with slightly narrow feet. Very pretty version of a clog for dressier occasions. Dove careful not to roll your ankle with this heel height, though.

Dansko is a quality shoe and very well made. The “Sam” did not fit on the foot where I’d had surgery. The shoe for the other foot seemed a bit short also. I was able to get another, slightly different style, from Zappo’s, which fit my usual size.

I ALWAYS GET comments when I wear these; I feel like I’m wearing Mary Janes! I’ve bought second pair as first was stolen. Obviously I wouldn’t have replaced them if I didn’t Love them! My first pair Idhad for > 20 years.

Super comfortable, wear them all the to work, office. :-) I am normally a 39, had to changed them for 40 needed more extra room.

Stiff, shiny, and outdated. Time to give these a facelift, Dansko.

These super-cute classic Danskos are narrower than other Dansko shoes in my closet. I am disappointed and will have to return them for another brand or style.

Have been wearing this same Dansko shoe for years and love it. Ordered new pair and not the same anymore. Upper leather not as soft and felt much tighter in the toe box. Returned them and will try wide width to see if it’s any better. Disappointed for sure.

This sandal is in not proportional: it is in-between sizes, so it is hard to find a good fit.

I love danskos but this shoes were so uncomfortable,too narrow and no felt too tight from the strap, will have to return so bummed.

These are a beautiful shoe, however, i ordered a 41, and i recieved a 35/36? I am not sure- they are so tiny- look like a child's shoe.

The shoe was too small, I don't feel I am capable of leaving a review that would be fair. However, I don't think this shoe in a larger size would agree with my battered feet.

I’ve worn Professional Dansko for years and after reading the reviews on Brenna, I was concerned about the sizing and arch. I decided to gamble on a pair of my regular size 39. The insole has a softer bed and the arch is in place as my other Professionals. The insole is not too soft and still I get the arch support. They are quite comfortable and I. Looking at other colors in this style.

I always wear size 37 and with Dansko including this shoe, most of the time it fits just right. I love the shoe and the comfort. One improvement for future models is to line the inside with softer material.
