I love these shoes. LOVE them. They are incredibly comfortable, light on my feet, and not huge and chunky. I have plantar fasciitis and need heel support for a long work day, Danskos are the only shoe I've found that truly give me the relief I need. The tooled pattern in the leather is also something I get lots of compliments on!

Great sandal. The greyish-nude color goes with just about everything (a sandal goes with) while not looking dirty despite consistent wear. I've worn this sandal to walk to work all summer, and shopping for hours as well, with no complaints from me.

I am absolutely in love with these shoes. They are my first pair of Danskos. I've never bought the brand before because my ankle would roll out of the top of the heel, but this style, with the ankle strap, keeps my foot secure inside, and my ankles happy. I get compliments on these often as a shoe that looks cute but comfortable: it's a light, fun clog...not clunky at all. The color is a really nice neutral; I've got some leather conditioner and waterproofing spray that I plan to use, because with such light leather, things like grass and dirt will show easily. I'm wearing these every day, and have to convince myself to take them off. I am smitten. As for size: I am normally a US 7. I ordered both the 37 and the 38...while the 37 felt a little tight at first, it has worked out, and the 38 was way too loose.

Very pretty styling, especially the tooled leather, works great with pants or skirts. Comfortable and true to size, at the end of the day, my feet still feel like dancing. :-)

I wear a size 10 wide, normally wear size 41 Danskos which is what I ordered, in sand dollar. I wish I had ordered a size up, 42, as they are somewhat tight across the top of the foot, as are some of my Danskos in the past. Hopefully will stretch in time. I wear with the small socks, wear for shorter periods of time initially. The color is a little light also. They are somewhat cute. Not what I expected. Though would love them more.

I needed to put away my closed back clogs for the summer, but my foot pain came back. This style from Dansko solved my problem! They are comfortable and give the support of a full clog, but look like a nice summer sandal. Can be worn with shorts or a skirt without looking clunky. I love them!!!

I have had mixed experiences with Dansko in the past. I worked in kitchens for many years, and the Professional (bought secondhand) was way too tight on my high arches. After an excellent experience with the Phoebe clog, which has some elastic at the arch, I decided to try the Sam. These are excellent right out of the box. No blisters, no slipping, no rubbing. The heel seems pretty close if not identical to the rocker of the Pro. I got the tooled brown leather, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Some truly minor issues: the footbed will attract some moisture (since it is soft, not hard like the pro) and the shoes scuff pretty easily. Also, I have pretty average ankles, but I had to start out on the very loosest hole until the ankle strap stretched. My usual size 40 from Dansko was correct for the Sam.

These shoes have been a lifesaver! I am on my feet all day and these shoes are very cute and comfortable. I ordered 2 pairs, and one pair (sand dollar) was very comfortable right out of the box and the other pair (brown floral tooled) needed a little bit of stretching out. I followed the advice of another reviewer and wore thick socks and then heated up the leather with blow dryer and then walked around while leather cooled. Now they are perfect.

Love them! In typical amazing Dansko fashion, they are incredibly comfortable and also look pretty cute. The color lets me wear them with everything. Only complaint is that they have a small piece of fabric connecting the buckle, which in other similar Dansko shoes has been the first thing to wear out/break.

Love these shoes. They are almost as comfy as my Dansko clogs. I do have a wide foot and a high arch, and the strap was a little short for me. But I used an awl to put another hole in it, and know it's fine. The bottom end of the toe that goes across the foot is a little tight, but I'm hoping it stretches. Love the color because it goes with my fair skin. Yeah, the style is granola, but for a granola shoe, it's really cute.

Very cute and very comfy. Gray color goes with everything I wear. I couldn't like them more. However, I was surprised that the base isn't wood. It's a fake wood grain, somewhat rubbery, man-made material. It sure looks like wood though. It's probably what makes them so comfortable and quiet to walk in.

I tried these because I thought they might work well for my wide feet, and they do, but I just don't love how they look on. Because they're kind of chunky, they make my wide feet look even chunkier than they are. I'm not ready for that yet! I'm sending these back and keeping a pair of Worishofers instead (equally comfortable, slightly less bulky).

I ordered sz 39: a little snug (I have a very high instep, so I wear 39 or 40 depending on style). I ret'd it for size 40, so happy to receive it quickly, only it was oddly too big because it was a sz 41 in a sz 40 box- I love the color & fit, summer is almost over- I hope I can get this for the 3rd time... great for when polish is chipped, walking in gravel (no sharp bits under my feet like flip flops do.)

Great shoes! I'm on my feet all day for work and these shoes make it a lot easier. I love the height they give me (I'm 5'1). They are so lightweight and comfy. I also noticed it helps my arch support.

This is an incredibly amazing shoe. Daily wear during the summer -- I like the closed toe, yet the "open" space for the rest of the foot. I don't get a lot of compliments on these, like some of my other Danskos, if they had some of their fun patterns I would go for them. Would also LOVE to see these in a Navy Blue [please, Dansko !? Great for walking, easy hikes I've done this and am sure that the durability and comfort I experienced far outweighed that of the others wearing tennis shoes.

I wear anywhere between a 9 & 10, depending on the brand. Since the 39 was out of stock I ordered the 40. They're perfect!

I'm very pleased to have found this style from Dansko again, as I was previously informed that this particular model had been discontinued-- So, THANK YOU ZAPPOS! Ordering was easy. Delivery was prompt. What more can a busy New Yorker ask for?

I am an RN, former aerobic instructor and ballet pointe dancer, so my right foot has numerous problems. I am very limited to what shoes I can wear. Bought the tan colored model and found I could wear it all day. I have since bought the black. Love the red but they didn't have my size. Great shoe Dansko!

Bought this for a 3 week trip to France. Perfect fit from the start. No breaking in period. Comfort heaven.

I bought the Sam in red, right after I had foot surgery, and they have become my shoes of preference. The arch support is great and I don't even feel it like with many other arch support shoes. I am an artist with chronic back pain so when I chose to wear this shoes to my painting class for three hours they did not disappoint. I am thinking of getting the sand color but I am not sure how light or dark the color actually is.

These shoes/sandals are very comfortable the issue is with the footbed it smells after a few wears then my feet smell! Never had this problem with other Dansko styles and that is a deal breaker.

These are great shoes. They are good for warm weather, but they cover my toes so my feet don't get as dirty. They are also very comfortable. I can walk for hours in them. Another good thing for me is that they don't cut into my feet. I have wide feet with a high instep, and they still fit. The style to me is not super cute, but quite presentable and could be dressed up or down.

I bought this as a summer work shoe during my pregnancy and I love it! The support is unreal- I can stand on my feet all day and have zero soreness. A couple things to make note of: 1. the strap across the front of the ankle took some getting used to. There was some excessive rubbing initially that caused some discomfort, but was alleviated by tightening the straps a little more. 2. The holes that are punched through the straps seem to be off. One shoe must be tightened one more notch than the other to make them even. Not at all a big issue. 3. The sand color that I got is great- it literally matches with everything. But because it is light colored and also suede, it gets dirty super quick especially in a work setting. I have to take a wet towel to them fairly frequently. The support and style are so superb I am giving them a 5 star rating!

I would love these shoes even more if the color matched the photo! They are considerably lighter in person than they appear in the photograph. Perhaps with wear they will darken? Otherwise, they are light and comfortable. Not at all "clunky" as clogs can sometimes be.

I work in a coffee shop, standing for eight hours at a time. I also have terrible arches and usually have to wear prescription orthotics. While these shoes certainly aren't as waterproof as I'd like, they are incredibly comfortable. Once my feet got used to them (a few days of wear) I fell totally in love with them. My feet rarely hurt at the end of a long day now. I even wore them to a wedding last night and after standing and dancing all night, my feet still felt great! They're also soo cute and go with tons of different outfits.
