Cute but not for wide feet. My feet were bulging out the sides and felt like they were being squeezed at the front. I usually buy a 38 in this brand but my toes were touching the very top of the shoe and felt uncomfortable. A size up would have been way too long so unfortunately these had to go back.

Love these! Very cloggy-cloggy and I feel sort of Scandivanian just wearing them. Seriously. I do. Mush! Through the frozen tundra! Ice fishing? Yah! I don't know. I am in the general vicinity of "clogs" with this, but unsure geographically, as you can see. Back to the clogs. Shoes. Are they clogs? Or shoes? I don't know. Let's not get bogged down in the details of shoe terminology when I'm just trying to say these are comfortable! Clog-like not-clogs. With the cloggy style I like. The strap is reassuring. You don't feel like you're going to kick a clog off into space and put someone's eye out like you do in those regular ole clogs with no strap holding the chunk of wood on your foot. So these are safety-minded clog-shoes as well. And really, isn't that what we all want in a good clog? To know the things aren't going to fly off our feet when we walk and act like guided missiles? Like, what if one got really wild and knocked over a fruit-stand or something? The way that always happens in elaborate chase scenes in the movies? Pandemonium! There is always a loose chicken with feathers flying too, as I'm sure you also noticed. But no, I don't think these clogs will fly off and knock over a fruit-stand and cause any pandemonium. And I will sleep better knowing that, won't you? These are well-made looking clogs and I like their subtle yet restrained power. You feel like you could walk over something fairly bad in these, I think, and whatever it was, it would be smashed and the clogs would be all, "What? You feel a little bump or something?" "Nah." Clogs talking among themselves, as clogs are wont to do. But that imperviousness, that could come in handy. A good piece of wooden base under you. You're like a tank. Rolling over everything. Tell me that isn't the perfect clog-like feeling we all crave. Sturdy, well made, flattering, clog-like but better suited to staying on your foot. That's what I think about these. I am wearing mine tomorrow while I do the luge and supposedly Bjorn is going to do an ice carving that looks just like me only way more flattering of course. He is a dear.

Great shoe! Had no problems wearing them all day on day one. I think they will be my summer office go to shoe, especially when I have to be on my feet all day for events.

Love these sandals, these are my third pair. Super comfortable, I can wear them for travel or work, for multiple days. The color ‘Stone wavy burnished’ wasn’t grey as I had hoped, but it is a nice light brown and will be neutral with light summer colors.

I have four pairs of Danskos, all size 39 (I am a size 8.5). These are SHORT. My toes touched the end. I exchanged for a 40, and they fit like a 39. Width is normal in both sizes. Some breaking in will be required for the toe box, where the edge of the leather meets the top of the foot. Otherwise, very comfortable and stable. A bit of height without the pain of a heel.

I work on cement floors eight hours a day and my back was killing me. I started exclusively wearing clogs during the winter and was already stressed about what to wear for summer that wouldn’t look ridiculous. Even my husband thought these clog maryjane’s were adorable. I’m getting the same support I did with a full clog. Very pleased!

I love Danskos but these shoes were too narrow for me and I have a very normal/average size foot.

I love my new Dansko clog/sandals. They are so cute and comfy! Every time I where them someone compliments them! I’m on my feet constantly throughout the day and my feet don’t hurt!

Am very happy with these shoes. They fit perfectly, do not cut into the upper part of either foot despite standing for long periods. I have a difficult time finding shoes that a accommodate bunions and bent toes but these are perfect. I ordered size 39 even though I wear a 38 in some other shoes based on a couple reviews.

I haven't worn them out yet, but I did try them on and they fit perfectly! I have a number of other pairs of Dansko shoes like this. Can't wait to wear them out. I bought them to wear with a dress or pants. I love that they have an enclosed toe, but yet the look of a sandal. Very versatile shoes-that's why I ordered them. Will probably order a pair in beige as well.

Great shoe for being on your feet all day! This is the second pair I’ve bought. I work 10-12 hour shifts in a retail pharmacy and these shoes keep my feet happy. They are pretty stylish for such a comfortable shoe. I like the adjustable strap.

I was looking for something to replace the Trista Dansko shoes that I LOVED from a few years ago that Dansko no longer makes, and these are it! The Sam style is much more comfortable than the Malin, which are cuter but are really heavy and I found hard to wear. I plan to buy other colors of the Sam style as I am able!

Size up! I ordered my normal size 37 and I could not get my foot into the front part of the shoe. I ordered a 38 and they now fit. My foot is wide and would not fit into the 37. They are very comfortable and cute!

So so cute! Now I want every color. I am a true 9C, and sometimes Danskos run a little narrow-I invested in shoe stretchers for my bunions/bunionettes (thanks to a lengthy Nursing career). The 39 seems to be perfect length and width wise, not to mention the comfy foot beds. There is about a half inch at the back past my heel, so the foot bed is plenty long-but more importantly, my toes and joints are happy. I have several other newer Danskos in multiple styles also in size 39, which seems to be my size-however my older ones (2006) are 40’s and fit the same.

I had to order a size up, size 40 for my 9/9.5 US size. Cannot beat the arch support if you have a high arch, high instep like me. I can stand in these all day. Unlike the clogs, no pressure over the instep. And very cute!

Had to return for next size up. If you wear a half size, order up. Excellent comfort for all day wear and cute style. No cutting in at top of foot as with the clogs. Great for high arch, high instep.

I usually wear size 39 (8 1/2 or 9) even in other Dansko shoes but in the Sam style they were way too short. I had read it online but since I never wear shoes larger than 9 I tried anyway. The 40s fit great - I’m glad I tried again.

I bought these last year as a shoe for conferences because it was dressy enough and looked comfortable enough, and I could wear it with socks if it's cold or bare feet if it's warm. It is a beautiful shoe on anyone, however after walking two miles in them this week (the trial run before the next conference which can add 5 miles easy) I realized that both my feet hurt - one of my toes was very painfully hitting the top of shoe, and the bunion developing on my other foot became excruciating. As much as I love the shoe I will wear it to work or for short distances under a mile from here on. Shopping for an adjustable sandal for the conference.

I have been looking for a replacement option for my favorite Dansko Thea shoe, and these get pretty close. They have less height than the Thea but they still give me a couple of inches. I preferred the Sand color in the Thea as it was a bit lighter and worked better with my pale skin. These are a bit more khaki toned, but will still work as a neutral/nude. I dinged them a star on style and overall because they have that fake wood look on the sides of the base. However, these are shoes I will continually grab for spring and summer, because they are super comfortable and I can wear these at work due to the closed toe.

I love these shoes. I’ve never had a bad pair of Danskos and these are no exception. Plus they’re WAY cute and will go with just about everything from jeans to skirts and beyond.

I’ll order these again. I put in about 2000 hours tending bar in these shoes. I prefer the ankle buckle clog over the traditional clog. They are easier for me to hustle in. I did have to break in the toe box on the right shoe that caused a good few day’s discomfort but then I was so happy with the fit.

Love this shoe. The moment I put it on it felt great. Even more comfortable than other Dansko styles.

Love the Dansko "Sam." The most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'm a hairdresser and stand all day and my feet still feel good after work. So much so, that I often keep them on into the evening. Ordered the black (they were perfect) and then ordered the Sand Dollar. Had to return the Sand because it looked like they'd been worn. Called and asked for a brand new pair. Zappos, with the best customer service, sent them right out and the second pair were perfect. The leather on this shoe is nice...not at all stiff but not super soft either. Again, perfect! Love the style...can wear with long and short dresses/skirts, cuffed, cropped, wide leg jeans or pants, shorts...extremely versatile. And unlike wooden clogs, they are quiet on hardwood and tile floors. I've worn the Dansko clogs for years and they are comfortable as well. But the "Sam" provides exceptional arch support for me. Can't say enough good things, except I'd love to see them again in solid colors; red, green, blue, etc. Bravo, Dansko. Bravo, Zappos!

Perfect right out of the box. Love the color - Stone Wavy Burnished - fit it great for my high rigid arches, tendinitis medium to narrow foot. 38 is perfect (usually a 7-7.5 in other shoes) Looking forward to spring & summer in these. Also really light weight compared to other Dansko shoes.
